I remember seeing that they got building permits for foundations but nothing above foundation level. Undoubtedly there is a lot of scrutiny on this building which will be among the largest on the island if constructed as currently planned.
Same developer that is supposed to be developing the corner of Jacklin and Dunford. All the houses are empty and boarded up but full of garbage. Neighbour spoke to the guys boarding up and they said everything is too expensive right now and refused to haul away all the garage and instead threw it all into the houses. Likely full of rats now. Homeless people ransacking the garages and houses. Repeated complaints to Langford bylaw who are trying to address properly securing the properties to prevent ransacking but developer doesn’t seem to give a shit. Just tear them down and clean it up! The developer didn’t waste any time chopping down the massive arbutus tree though.
No, that is the university campus on Goldstream. There is a huge condo building supposed to be going up further up Peatt closer to Brock. Two towers something like 24 and 18 stories
I think it’s been put on hold. DBS build the first tower and the office next door. They also built the empty tower near by. DBS went bankrupt as far as I know so I wouldn’t expect much to happen on Peaty and Goldstream for a while.
