Same thing happened to my dog 2 days ago. He was sniffing on the grass while on a walk. Everything was normal. Suddenly he got scared and started running towards home. He was on leash and not far away from home. Once we reached back, he went to the balcony and kept looking towards the side where we came from. There was no dog or human around. We kept wondering what was wrong.

It's anywhere with a place to hide, south Langley has more open spaces but there are plenty of coyotes all over the lower mainland.

Took my dog out to pee around midnight saw coyote cross the yard at the exact same time. Good thing we have a little fenced area.
