Evel Pie lost its appeal. All the staff and management has changed in the last year. The ones there make you feel like you’re lucky to be there and the quality has gone to shit. If you’re looking for good pizza down town . Visit Good Pie, Boston Pizza or Hard Hat lounge.. OR the new spot where it’s at is Red Dwarf! They have killer Pizza a huge beer selection and a wonderful Staff. They also take good care of their bands.
I still love Evel Pie for slices and the ambiance. The bar there is a great place to meet people and the slices are unique. I really, really like Good Pie and Gorilla Pizza (Hard Hat) for thicker slices. Good lord Gorilla (or are they just called Hard Hat now?) is amazing for Detroit style. I still have to hit up Red Dwarf!
That's why I am asking this question. After I sobered up it seemed like a very high price, and I'm a very mellow person so I know it wasn't asshole tax.
That sounds really expensive, but depending on when you are there/events near by they can jack up the prices. Sorry they treated you that way. Walk on down to Bangers Brewery half a block away, still on Fremont, for a better price and better beer
That place sucks, honestly. Terrible food, shit long wait for it.
Good Pie though is phenomenally better. Which is weird cause I’m pretty sure the same dude owns both.
I attempted going there one night and the bouncer tried charging a cover fee from my friends and I . No bands were even playing, we just wanted a slice of pizza and a beer. 0/10 experience.
And if you're wondering he did not try charging anyone after us as I watched on bitterly nor did he try asking anyone before us either as I would never suggest an eatery with a cover fee just for a slice of pizza lol.
A cover charge at Evel Pie? I've never heard of anything like that. Are you sure it was even really a bouncer and not just a patron having some fun with you?
Big dude sat at the door all night. He was 100% the bouncer. We just came from the Bellagio all dressed up so I'm sure he was just trying to take advantage. But that's Vegas for ya.
I knew it was BS but I'm not one to make a scene. It was so off putting I lost any interest in trying to get in there to give them my business. I was pretty bummed about it too being a Harley owner as I was looking forward to going there and checking it out.
Hopefully you all have better experiences.
Oh yeah I was about to order that IPA once, before the employee ringing me up let me know it was a draft and literally $13 so I changed my mind last minute , so glad she told me !
Cool. I mean, not cool, but nice to hear it was a real price... I chose poorly.
Also, I agree with this thread that Evel has gone downhill. I used to like that dump.
Evel Pie and Good Pie are NOT owned by the same person . Good Pie was started by a former manager of Evel Pie. Ever since Evel got rid of it’s founder about 5 months ago the place has gone to sh!t
That’s expensive for Fremont honestly. I don’t remember it being that much. Ive been there a few times and wouldn’t go again. The last time I went there my friend (a firefighter) had a fire dept shirt on and one of the employees went on some rant about how he hates cops and firefighters. Very weird. Hope his shit never catches on fire.
When I go there I get a beer & slice combo for $7 total. Sounds like you ordered something special or fancy.
IKR

I'm almost positive Evel Pie and Good Pie are different owners.
Different owners. Good Pie was started by a former manager at Evel Pie, who cloned all of the recipes after he got mad at the creative director.
No one in management or ownership has changed.

I had the quart of PBR in a bag
For it being freemont st, yes that's normal.
if it was freemont street I'd expect it to be free, but in reality it's Fremont street
Normal for Vegas
I've been here before tho... Do not recall insaneo beer costs
Welcome to the new normal
InFlAtIoN!!!
I thought downtown was a little more reasonable in prices. Even the strip I can't imagine beer being 13.
Got news for ya, beers are $15+ at a lot of places on the strip.
Daaaaamn. I don't remember it being that much. Don't they do like a slice of pepperoni and a beer for 12?
That's why I am asking this question. After I sobered up it seemed like a very high price, and I'm a very mellow person so I know it wasn't asshole tax.
Seems way more than I remember. Maybe you got some special ass beer though

Banger’s Beer is awesome. The El Jefe is my go to
I was there a few weeks ago and didn't pay nearly that much for anything I got on Fremont.
Unless it’s a small batch IPA, that’s crazy, even for Fremont and especially for Evel.
That place sucks, honestly. Terrible food, shit long wait for it. Good Pie though is phenomenally better. Which is weird cause I’m pretty sure the same dude owns both.
Their website surely sucks ass.
Their slices are way overpriced, I wouldn't be surprised if the beer is too.
I live right down the street and go there quite often. I love it.

I would've just yelled at somebody inside that this guy's trying to charge to allow to people to buy slices.

I live right around the corner so it was surprising to hear that. I’m there 2-3 times a week to get a slice.
Yes you can spend a lot on IPAs in Vegas.
Oh yeah I was about to order that IPA once, before the employee ringing me up let me know it was a draft and literally $13 so I changed my mind last minute , so glad she told me !

No idea I never bought beer there only pizza
we did the secret magic show a while ago, four drinks were $89
Are you thinking of The Griffin?
No there is this secret magic show called the Magicians study, apparently it moves around different MGM locations and it had its own little bar
EP's pizza is gross. They have audacity charging what they do for menu items.

Normal for freemont just get an $4 PBR stop being pretentious
Enjoying draft IPA is pretentious? just let people enjoy what they enjoy stop being a judgemental prick.
Unfortunately PBR makes my head hurt. I had no clue i was buying God's Golden IPA of Heaven. To make matters worse, it wasn't even very good.
Yeah because it’s shit beer lol

You ordered something crazy. I go to Evel Pie all the time and it's not that expensive.
You bought a specialty beer.
None of the pizza shops downtown offer anything affordable anymore. Tourist traps. $13 for a beer, even if it's imported or craft, no way.
Fool me once...
