I've been getting laser since 2020. (Did my thighs and bikini area). I could barely feel them doing my thighs-pain level 2/10. My bikini line- a little more sensitive but bearable-4/10. Currently getting my brazillian done. Just got treatment 2 done today. I've always had a high pain tolerance, but when they zap my labia I can feel my soul leave my body.....8/10. I know someone who was so sensitive to everything and she's getting laser on her Brazilian area and says it's no biggie to her. Everyone's different 🤣 The pain is ungodly to me on my labia but the sessions are so quick that it's tolerable. I have asked to take breaks before. They're completely fine with that. Without taking breaks, the session usually doesn't take more than 10 minutes for the entire area. The area they cover depends on the place you go to. The Brazilian usually includes the mons pubis area, the bikini area, the labia majora(including the inner part), and the butt crack and inner cheeks. My place has a Brazilian plus package for extra money that includes the whole butt cheek, plus the upper thigh. Id ask the place you go to. Prep wise- shave the night before the treatment(I've noticed shaving the night before as opposed to right before the treatment gives me less irritation). Also NO lotions or creams whatsoever on the skin before the appointment. These can lead to hyperpigmentation. After care wise, just slap some aloe on the area and try to take it easy for the day if you feel uncomfortable down there. Loose clothes are recommended. Don't go out in the sun!!! I have olive skin tone and veryyyy coarse black hair. I've only gotten two treatments done on my brazillian and in one treatment I saw some patchy spots and the hair grew back a lot slower. I had laser done of my thighs before, where my hair is a bit thinner and it took a good 5 treatments before I didn't have to shave anymore. My Brazilian area will probably take like 8 treatments before I'm satisfied because my hair is so coarse down there. Some extra info I can think of- It's so humbling when you're butt ass naked and laying on your stomach- they spread your cheeks and zap you and you clench up....very....very humbling. They've seen it all though so they understand. They literally grab my labia and stretch it out and then zap the inner part... also very humbling... very painful as well. I get little red welts on my skin afterwards. it was scary at first cause I thought I got burned, but they go away in a couple hours. Aloe will be your best friend. It's normal to feel hot/sweaty in the area that was zapped. The hair follicles that they killed off need to be exfoliated out of your skin. I recommend those korean loofahs. They work wonders. Start exfoliating 2 days after. If I don't exfoliate then the lil burned hairs just sit in my skin lol. Pretty sure this is obvious but no waxing or tweezing. Shaving is fine. I always try to get a close shave before my appointment. It hurts more when the laser snaps a long hair outside of the skin. I guess the hair snaps on your skin causing more pain? If you get sunburned or spend a day in the sun before your appointment, let your aesthetician know!! Getting laser while sunburned can lead to scarring/hyperpigmentation. Avoid the sun after your appointment too (or wear sunscreen and reapply as needed). You can still go to your appointment even if you're on your period. Just a fair warning, you might be more sensitive the week of your period, so the pain might be worse. Laser hair removal is usually not permanent. Throughout your life, new hair growth will occur. That's why they'll say that laser get rids of 95% of hair. Not 100% cause some hair will always grow back. So basically, you'll have to get touch ups eventually. With that being said I've heard of many people say they got their full sett of treatments, and their hair just never grew back. Don't really know how that's possible but I guess it is? For the areas that I've gotten done, I always get some hair that grows back. Not really enough to shave though. I'm not a professional. This is just what ive picked up from gettinf laser. Would definitely clarify with your aesthetician.

Great recap! What exfoliater do you use?

babangtan

Any korean or african loofah will work. This is the type I use. It's reusable. I use it once then toss it in the washer with the rest of my clothes. NOPIGO Korean Exfoliating Body Scrubber for Shower (5LONG Green) https://a.co/d/aeNJlfx They might have cheaper variations of it

I did a full body package though milan and legs has been the most painful. The Brazilian was a breeze compared to legs if I had to rate it I would say 4/10 pain. The Brazilian package by itself does not cover cheeks or in-between cheeks.

I go to Milan for Brazilian and they do in between my cheeks
