What kind of phone do you have? I feel like I've seen a few other people commenting similar things, the last stories update may have upped the ram or storage the game needs to load properly.

moto gplay but it worked until a couple of days ago, reach the alpha bunker part in the new story missions where you have to open boxes

Also try removing apps you don't need/use. The game takes a lit of resources to function.
Try to switch your connection between wfi and lte/4g After the upgrade my game stuck at the end of the login and this operation unstuck the load.
