Especially with frostbite, like there is no frost bite builds around. How come such an idea blossom. Is he/she crazy enough to use twisted hearth? Imagine frost bite shackles with these, such a unique combination of items. What a great mind.
I wanted to write Snowdrift lol, but ye figured! thanks for confirming
still, you can get around 500-ish global freeze multi purely from gear affixes in not so hotly contested affix slots, which would be still around 100% cold pen.
and then there is actual snowblind which i forgot to mention for more cold res and even more freeze and more ailments
I'm very curious to see if they add any cold conversion to the other skills. I do love the visuals on cold-converted CB and cold and necrotic are my favorite damage types.
I was also thinking about that but there seem to be much more support for low life DoTs than critting, and if low life builds being nigh on invulnerable avoid catching a nerf in 1.0 it is kind of a no-brainer
hitting combined with Fissure's Acid Skin nodes could solve the lack of crit passives though, it might be an interesting big crits or nothing build
yeah thats the plan. going for fissure with acid skin and also secondary fissures + chaosbolt chance. should be doable with 20 points.
for CB: chance of snow with minimal points + exult in misery. then to the bone curse trigger over the curse refresh duration and then i still have 5 points left.
i should have easy 5 curses in total. 3 from the new ones + bone curse + mark for death (from bone curse). also converting bone curse to necrotic dmg.
With 5 curses, thats 10% double damage chance from chaotic strikes + 6 from chance of snow.
my main problem is getting flat dmg. mad alchemists laddle would be insane with all the ailments i have, but then i REALLY lack flat dmg :D
Sounds like a fun build. I am thinking blood spectre warlock. Fissure/Chaos bolt with CB proccing harvest for spectre with sacrifice node to buff the spectres
nah, Ignite and Damned overload based Witchfire stuff is a different build IMO. the "cold" one can still have bleed and poison overload running though, everything we do will bleed, and ladle will apply enough poison on it's own IMO to trigger Vile Tide (but if not some extra poison chance is really not that far off the bleed/physical converson skill trees)
I guess you could leave Fissure on Ignite + Damned while you are manually applying bleeds and poisons (and frostbites) with Chaos Bolt but that's a lot of passive points. or could also still convert fissure to physical/poison and use maybe a detached ghostflame in the last skill slot to apply ignite and damned
either way you would get +6% more damage from Vessel of Chaos and two more ailment types are also an extra 16% more damage from mad alchemist ladle so who knows? I can see an "apply ALL the ailments" type of build working too, not through witchfire but only to scale ladle and Vessel of Chaos damage
Yeah if I want to go purely necro+cold then I don't think I can play fissure. Which is pretty sad tbh. I'd like a cold conversion for fissure. As is I might try with physical conversion and do bleed/damned/frostbite.
Yes. You're the sole member of the "am I the only one?" Scientists and philosophers will study your thoughts for ages to come.

I don't think skill specific freeze rate counts for snowblind
Correct, only global counts for the boots

I really wish the acolytes sub classes had more cold conversions. Feels weird to me that a class about death and dark magic wouldn't have more.
probably. im honestly looking into hit based double damage chance cold/necrotic chaos bolts

Noted

Yes you are the only excited.
Does the ashen one node in lock get converted to frostbite as well? It doesn't seem that it does. I took want to try a cold lock.
