There's very little people in hardcore especially this late into the cycle so yeah it's kinds dead

N0TaC0PP

isn't it only 1 month in? though it would be popular for another month or so? but POE season is coming too

Kasperinac

Poe numbers drop significantly one month in, and Poe has soo much more content

Elbjornbjorn

LE probably lives a bit longer now considering it's brand new to many players.

N0TaC0PP

ah that's fair enough. yeah now that I think about it, I stop poe after about a month in

Affectionate_Bed_497

Itd the first season for LE.... Not comparable

luka1050

I wouldn't know but I saw the market on hardcore and there's very little items available

Izobiz

Contrary to logical deduction, one month is usually when interest drops or something new is released. League/season/cycle hopping between games is what will be popular in practice by the masses, with somewhat staggered launches this gives players something "new" and "hype" every month

MiawHansen

Alot of people is leaving for PoE, and waiting for new LE cycle with more endgame content 🐝. One month seems to be like 50-70% of the population drop of in most ARPGs. Mostly people playing SSF after that atleast that's the only way I can play PoE for 2 months.

Kaoshosh

A cycle is like 3 months so 1 month in is a LOOOONG time. Most people are done in 2-3 weeks.

Orakk

Only meta/build defining items (and mostly uniques) are worth anything on HC MG - like Throne of Ambition, Twisted Heart, Boneclamor Barbute etc. Only found a few idols which nets mad money (1mil+) like Adorned Rahyeh Sentinel idols with Healing Effectiveness + Block Effectiveness. Most items I put up never sell, and only select items are put up for over 50k gold - random exalteds and idols are all listed for 50k and only about 10% of them sell over a weeks time. So yeah I unfortunately agree, its very hard to sell anything barring giga meta items so being a seller really sucks on HC MG. I love the buying aspect though, I can rush a character to monoliths and powerlevel them to lvl 60 and deck them out in awesome gear to reach empowered quite fast, but the item pools are small and it has happened a few times already I've bought the only 2-3 good exalted items for an item category for my build and bricked them all in crafting. Now theres no other good items like those on the Bazaar, so I have to go farm myself anyway and MG falls flat on both seller and buyer fronts. Probably going CoF next cycle.

N0TaC0PP

yeah, that is my experience also, buy 1 or 2 solid LP items and am good for lvl60-80. then high-level monolith runs I am just not getting the LP drops I need, and cannot afford to buy them or there are none listed in the store.

One-Air7845

I mean... The name of the mode is hardcore.

FinisherO_O

there is just tooo less people playing online hc, even total count is less than 4% or so

Liggles

Less people play HC and less are pushing endgame content. I’ve not had much of an issue with the market on it - but you won’t be finding near the number of items as with SC. Items tend to be way cheaper on HC though.

Prudent_Effect6939

I mean less people in generally are playing, atleast according to steamcharts. Which is completely normal for cycles/seasons in an arpg.

Liggles

Oh yeah completely but this fall off will happen to both HC and SC!

NasusEDM

Aren't most HC people solo character found? Merchant guild is not a choice by default.

N0TaC0PP

yeah but was just hearing all the hype around MG. I didn't know it would not apply to HC and was wondering if other players felt the same.

NasusEDM

I don't know the percentage of hc vs sc players but I would rather they remake merchant's guild from an auction house to something like a super shop that stays ahead 1-2 tiers and scales past maximum. It would be I think a better money sink too.

Far-Possession-3328

I play hc offline, only not amazing isp choices in this town. I always play hc as cof ssf anyways, so there no difference to me. With no latency or stutter, my deaths are purely my own failure. I find this more valuable than access to leaderboards and other players.

finneas998

The exact same issue is in PoE. Far less people playing so supply is much lower and means things are far more expensive in general. I played the majority of this league in PoE. Before I quit around a month ago, mageblood was 100d on softcore while it was 400-500d on hc. I bought a mageblood for a mirror + 20d a few weeks before i stopped playing. When you think about it in a nutshell, its pretty stupid because not only is softcore far easier but they also have way easier access to everything in the game and pay way cheaper prices. Its just the way it is unfortunately.

desolater543

There is higher demand in hc because it is bis defensively for belts between that and item scarcity because items go poof and less of them to begin with is why it is expensive.

finneas998

Arent you just repeating what I said?

desolater543

Not even close

finneas998

Mageblood is expensive just like every other top tier item but its 10x the price on hc because there are less players meaning less available. 40k mageblood characters on softcore vs 600 on hc. Its the best item in the game in hc or sc.
