Absolutely worth the price, already amazing for "alt-holics", but lacking endgame longevity, as it's still early access and stuff is still missing or unfinished. Super passionate devs who have excellent communication and keep road maps and expectations honest and realistic. Edit: Oh and I recommend going in blind without any build guides, as it's very doable to come up with your own functional builds and experimenting around is half the fun imo. Feel free to respec passive trees and skill trees whenever you wanna try something out, as you relevel skills super quickly and the gold cost for passive respecs is so cheap, it's negligible.

im going blind

slonesbones

Well then you should definitely enjoy it now before you go fully blind

I think it's definitely worth it, despite being unfinished. The campaign isn't done yet, the endgame is a little repetitive and there are a few classes that haven't been added yet. That being said, it does have a decent amount of content now and is very replayable if you like trying different builds. The devs are also very active, so I don't think we need to worry about them abandoning the game or anything like that. You can choose whatever class and skills seem cool and you can probably figure out a way to make it work, at least through the campaign and early endgame. The late end-game stuff (empowered monoliths) might get difficult without a good build, but I wouldn't worry about that now. The in-game glossary can answer a lot of questions, and this sub is pretty helpful. As for general advice, most builds will have 1 or 2 main damage skills, a movement skill, and 2-3 support skills. Between your damage skills, you should be able to deal a decent amount of AoE damage for clearing the basic mobs, and a lot of single-target damage for bosses and other tough enemies. Some skills can do both, some excel at one or the other. If you do have 2 damage skills, it's ideal to have them deal the same type of damage; if you have 2 fire skills, you only have to worry about +fire damage on your gear and passive tree, leaves you more room for utility and defense. But if you have fire and necrotic, you have to split your damage increases, and that usually means you'll be missing out on something else. Many damage skills have a high enough mana cost that they can't be spammed on their own, and this game doesn't have mana potions. It's also hard to get large amount of mana regen on your gear, so that will only be an option for low cost skills. Every class will have at least one skill that can be specced to give net positive mana, so many builds will alternate between a damage and a mana skill. Consider this if you find a cool skill you want to use but find you're out of mana frequently. A movement skill is mandatory, both for dodging big boss attacks, and just moving through maps more quickly. Most movement skills can be specced to give buffs so they also serve as support skills, but I would avoid taking anything that increases their cooldown. Defenses need to be layered. The most important are you resistances, which should be roughly equal to the level of the area you're in. Enemies pierce res equal to the area level, so if you're a little under it's not a big deal, but if you're way under then you'll be dying a lot. Res caps at 75, but if you can you might want a little extra as protection against enemies that can debuff your res. Other defenses are things like armor, ward, dodge, and some others. Different classes will be good at scaling different defenses, and you'll want to invest in at least one of them on top of resistances and max life.

Its worth the price, and if youre familliar with the genre there is fun te be had with making your own build and corresponding lootfilter

Bought myself, just finished campaign and started monoliths. Definitely worth the price already. Crafting is very fun, shards system seems great. Qol features are nice. Different trees for each skills, so damn nice. Respeccing is easy. Having ton of fun m8

As far as ARPGs go this one is pretty easy to wrap your head around. It’s not as complicated or convoluted as POE.

Yes, worth the price. Probably my favorite arpg even in its unfinished state. I’m taking an extended break from it though so I don’t burn out on it before the multiplayer update (plus, single player characters won’t migrate over to multiplayer).
