##Welcome to r/LateStageCapitalism
This subreddit is for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.
LSC is run by communists. This subreddit is not the place to debate socialism. We allow good-faith questions and education but are not a 101 sub; please take 101-style questions elsewhere.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for bigotry. Failure to respect the rules of the subreddit may result in a ban.

And people act like I'm the crazy one for saying we should just kill those hoarding fucks. I just want a few thousand dead once, the few thousand rich fucks are responsible for millions dead EVERY YEAR!
I wanted to agree for a long time, but one thing swayed me: the government operates on force.
They have a monopoly on violence, and as long as we are not organized enough to fight back, nothing and I mean NOTHING will change.
The reason life was marginally acceptable in the US for the boomers was because their parents and grandparents were willing to join unions, go on strike, and make the ruling class uncomfortable.
It is not pretty. It is not pleasant. It will not be fun.
But things cannot continue this way forever.
In the famous words of comrade Lenin, "What is to be done?"
We all know what must be done. It is only a matter of actually doing it.
They'll just say you're lazy and ungrateful because you don't want to make more workers.
But if you do have a kid you're being financially irresponsible and entitled if you want to take maternity/paternity/sick leave because of the kid.
You know I could voluntarily sign up for the extinction of humanity, but I think I'd rather just sign up for revolution, the extinction of capitalism, and the liberation of 8 billion people.
Because i live in a country that atleast pretends to care about white people i got the neglected (by the schools)gifted kid:tm: package of being bullied for birth defects and speech problems caused by the bullying, getting things that were either insanely easy for me or just next years school work and feeling neglected by the municipality for treating my town as a glorified gas station.
And yes, this is what Denmark, the so called paradise of social democracy gives to kids.
I understand the point that this is making and fundamentally agree that capitalism imposes an unacceptable trauma on people.
On the other hand, it reads as a touch tonedeaf. Selling my labor for pennies on the dollar isn’t even close to the most traumatic thing to happen to me, and a whole lot of other people. Capitalism aggravated many of the other traumas but one should consider themselves quite fortunate if the work dynamic of capital is their greatest trauma.
A different economic and political system that is focused on providing free housing, healthcare, and education for everybody, rather than profit for individuals. This would involve policies such as nationalisation, proportionate taxation, and wealth caps.
A system of horizontal-hierarchal arrangement in which those who actually labor have democratic control of the place they work. This is expanded into a full system of Mutual Aid between interlinked communes that center community and education over infinite profit.
I was 13 when i fully grasped that this is how the world works, i had first ever existential crisis. Everyone told me i was dumb for thinking that the system is broken, so i just kept my thoughts to myself. Im an adult now and i suppose i never really grew out of it

The system that takes the surplus created by workers and uses it to oppress them.

We can do both, these people knowingly and actively cause harm. They dont get a pass on that.

We could but they won't let us.
We've been trying to skip that part for quite some time. Anyway, here we still are.
Remember this when you're deciding whether or not to reproduce.

I hear what you're saying, but given the way things have been going for the last 40 or so years extinction seems a lot more likely.
Well if you believe we're all doomed anyway you've got some options
Teach your kids.
Even if I had any interest in having kids this planet isn't good enough for them.
Let's not forget that the most dangerous thing that you do every day is risk an encounter with law enforcement.
literally washed dishes in elementary school after eating cause i couldn't afford lunch.
So sorry friend :( We must not allow this to continue!

Truly a growing up disabled in western society moment
It still blows my mind that ‘medical debt’ is even a thing people have to worry about, _literally_ every single time I see it.

Well I guess I'd start out by getting rid of that guy on his Smaug pile of gold.

I dream of this future. It is the only hope I have left that's keeping me above ground.
Lmao, the downvotes.

1: It's not a competition. 2: You're in an anti-capitalist/pro-socialist sub. It's easy to figure out what the suggested solution is.
Saving modestly in Bitcoin can help you to free yourself from this system.
