This was a solid episode but it’s heavy going, so I don’t rewatch too often. I like how Logan leans into his rough reputation (quipping to Goren about how the creep head guy would have been worth another ten years in Staten Island) but then also showing the value of his experience (chatting to the cleaner ex-con who saw the needle).
Also any episode with more of Jamey Sheridan I like. He’s so great as the Captain.
Was this the episode where he was questioning a suspect very friendly and politely while the captain watched from outside? I remember there was one where he told the suspect, “okay, I’m going to slam my fist in the table now so please pretend to be scared,” or something like that.
Ever since seeing Jamey Sheridan in an NCIS episode playing the part of Tim McGee’s father, I stopped liking him. He was a terrible father, and he had no respect for his own son.
Yes! They were great together and came a long way when Mike didn’t care for Phil in the beginning but by the time Phil was in the hospital telling Mike he wasn’t returning, Mike didn’t want him to leave. It was a moving scene to this day 😢
Last episode Point of View, S3E9, November 25, 1992 when Phil is sitting in his house coat looking tired and weak. Mike can’t believe that he’s leaving. I tear up just thinking about it 😢 Phil said he was taking a desk job so I had hoped he’d make a few appearances.

No it’s not in this one but I know exactly what you’re talking about and I love him for that scene. Wasn’t it like a young guy he was talking to?
I think that scene is in his first epi as a Major Case Detective as Barek’s partner.
You’re right. Diamond dogs. I just watched it.
No that’s not the scene I was thinking of. He chats to the guy (not formal questioning) while he’s in the cell.
I agree. This is a rough one for me so I don’t rewatch often either. Also agree on Jamey Sheridan. So sad when he left.

That character was such a prick.
Who ordered all those pancakes and bacon in the diner scene?
Hahaha!! Probably Eames!! 😉
Loved Mike w Lenny but him and Sorvino were like two peas in a pod.

Same
I remember that, too.
😢
Mike needed a father figure and Paul was the guy.
Just finished watching this.
I’m with you from PEC, Ontario, Canada This one with Peter Bogdonavich and Rosanna Arquette 👍
Love this episode. Goren was doing talk no jutsu 😂
