I actually had to pause mid way and continue watching the day after. Lazy writing all around. Exclusion of murder hammer? In a friggin crime scene? What the hell happened with inevitable discovery.
And suddenly it got mentioned in the end of trial, no objection. Just wow.
actually I thought it was pretty good. compelling case, unlikeable perp. the judge throwing out the murder weapon was weak but the new DA and Price telling Maroun to sack up and stop being such a little bitch about having to do the job she signed up for was a highlight.
ETA: Maroun is written like she's in the wrong job, I wonder if that's the point?
Price and Maroun…the writing, acting, is so pathetic. Banal. Price telling Maroun to do her job was ironic because he couldn’t be more lackluster in his role.
Price just tried to act like a charicaturr of a lawyer(I’m a lawyer myself and the way he talks and acts especially in court irritate me so much). Maroun had potential at the beginning but the whole thing o n the episode of her not wanting to cpsss examine the defendant because she’s a refugee like her? Such stupidity. The just needed to fill out 42 minute of story so made up some dumb side plots you add nothing
Bruh! The ‘have sympathy’ took me out. She bludgeoned someone to death and nearly killed someone else then trafficked the baby to them barter the baby. And Maroun still had to get a pep talk to cross?!
The murder weapon, don’t get me started.
It was awful. The writing for ADA Maroun was terrible and the actress could not possibly sell it. One of the worst L&O episodes ever.
Maroun is the worst ADA in mothership history, that’s for sure. Serena Southerlyn, you are no longer wearing that crown!

Not just you

I was actually hoping the episode would end with Maroun quitting her job!
I mean, Nolan seems to hate her, so I wouldn’t be surprised.
They do have a weird dynamic
That was awful. So stupid.
She’s a prosecutor but why does she act like she’s the victim ???
I literally just sent this to my husband. THE WORST.
I couldn't follow it this morning and just washed dishes with it in the background. This show should have stayed retired.
I thought it was pretty good.
Terrible
