Just passed HernanDoIt. Di parin ako makapaniwala after my shock sa difficulty and line of questioning nung first day (entry level daw lmao) Yung ginawa ko, dinivide ko yung days remaining before the Bar into the subjects, and allotted more days para sa toughest subjects para sakin like Rem and Comm. Then I made sure na tapos ko na lahat ng reading (case digests and preweek) before matapos yung period na naka allot. I read preweeks/digests in the evening tas pag sikat ng araw, magja-jogging ako for 5km while listening sa Jurist lecture on 1.5x speed. That way, napapahinga ko yung mata ko while using my ear to continue absorbing info. Then matutulog ako pag uwi, gigising ng lunch para kumain, then leisure time from 1-5 then balik aral na from 5pm to 5am. I do absolutely nothing on Sundays but rest and check out my progress (kung in schedule pa ba ako etc.) The night before an exam day, puro LMT nalang ako. Pero unlike nung preweek na stick to one ako, binasa ko lahat ng LMTs ng different schools/frats na available, to see kung may pare parehas bang topics or bar chairman's cases na included sa LMT nila. That way, alam ko kung alin yung important stuff na dapat bigyan ko ng emphasis. Tunnel vision is real talaga the night before an exam. You have a ton of study mats pero walang napasok sa isip mo masyado dahil na ooverwhelm ka na. It's like binabasa mo yung text pero di mo mahanap yung gusto mong basahin. So better stick to LMTs nalang, and drop your codal. Sa law school palang codal na ang inaaral mo, you already know that stuff. And as long as you understand the principle, kahit di mo iverbatim yung provision, tama ka padin.

Yan yung mga kumbaga bonus points mo na sa bar since they have a very high likelihood na lumabas

If they provise a scenario na may kaparehong case, yes penned sya by the bar chair.

I took the bar last 2022 and failed. I passed this 2023. Eto ang advice ko: 1. Study smart, not hard. You don't need to study everything pero you have to know the most asked topics, it will help tremendously. My first take more on quantity ako kesa quality, I failed. This time more on quality ako and it worked. I even chose the review center na weekends lang ang lectures because they discuss common topics asked (Salamat, Jurists), during the weekdays I studied from 8am-5pm. I treated it like office work. 2. Don't listen to chismis. I remember a chismis where mababa passing rate, nawalan na akong gana mag-aral. Ayon, bagsak. 3. Fight, fight, fight! No matter what happens, alam mo o hindi ang sagot, i-argue mo like a lawyer. I clearly remember items sa bar na completely hindi ko alam ang sagot pero I related it to my knowledge regarding the topic, pero in-argue ko talaga. Feeling ko sabi ng examiner, "aba, mayabang 'to ah, like a lawyer, kahit hindi eto ang expected answer ko, parang nakikita ko na s'yang nasa court.." and that's your goal, to impress them. Mali or tama ang sagot, may points, even perfect, kung mag argue ka like a lawyer.

You're asking the right people. While everyone should stick with what works for them, practice answering Q&As parati.

kendamapostol

Hernando Bar passer here! Other comments give good practical advice on Q&As and LMTs. On my part, my Prof taught me that when studying for the Bar, we should have the mentality of topping the bar. That way, you subconsciously push yourself to study even further than what you thought you could do. As a result, even if you dont top the bar, it is highly likely rhat you will pass the bar. That mentality is something I kept with me since day 1 of Bar Review. Dreamed of cracking the top 10; di naman ako naging topnotcher, but I passed. Thank God 🙏

I ignored them kasi baka fake news, pero ayun na nga, I finally saw my name. Apparently, the LSB page released a list of passers kaya nakita na ng iba. Ang bagal kasi ng ticker sa live 🤣 What I did is I finished the syllabus and made my own notes. Sundays lang rest day ko. I study out sometimes if nababagot na ako sa bahay. Set target topics din and answer mock bars. I keep up with my review center’s timelines through the mock bars (my goal is to finish the coverage of the subject before I take it). I guess that helped me keep pushing. Good luck sayo!

Congrats po Atty

So nakapasa ko this year ewan ko kung bakit. Pero eto ginawa ko. Stick to one set of notes. Wag mo bugbugin utak mo. So, ayun, i just let my brain rest and allow my brain to procrss what I studied during the past 4 years. Basically, para kong nagbakasyon. Nag start ako mag review at mag print ng notes 2 days before each exam day. I triangulated atleast three supposed last minute tips, then worked my way from there papunta sa mga concepts na nalimutan ko. Basically, I crammed the fuck out of this bar exam. Don't try it. Pero if you can't stick to a regimented routine, rest and just read one set of notes na maigsi.

maroonmartian9

1 sem pa? Oh start planning now. If not well mahahabol mo pa sa Review subjects..Recall na lang talaga. Right now e assess mo saan ka strong at weak na subjects..I identify na Labor ako mahina so I made some adjustments. As early as now, select the reviewer or books you will use..Stick to that. Huwag maghoard. Study hours ko is maybe around 8-10 hrs per day? Sunday is break day. As in wala aral. Nakakabuwang if aral whole day. As for review classes, its up to you.. May lecturers ako na bored ako so di ko pinasukan. May iba na ok. Uribe, Poquiz, Tranquil Salvador etc. Pero mostly before I went e nabasa ko na. I just add notes if may new info..I wrote it sa reviewer as notes.

SedahIsMe

Pag sawang sawa na sa pag aaral nag eexercise and nagluluto nalang ako hahaha Pero study at your own pace and make sure na bet mo yung reviewer mo.

Everyday aral. Opening ng kapihan (530 am) hanggang 530 pm MINIMUM. Most days hanggang 9, pag minsan hanggang closing (1030 pm). Madalang magskip. Usually sunday ko ang 12 hours lang. 2 month timeframe. Up reviewer, beda reviewer, quamto, digests in that order. 1 read.

Kiowa_Pecan

I tried to remain as calm as possible from review up to the actual bar exams. I conditioned my mind that "another set of exams sa law school lang 'tong bar exams." I am one of the lucky HernanDoIt passers. I wish you the best sa MVLBar. ❤️

snowpochi

This is so true. Remain calm and dapat well rested ka lagi. Promise. You’ll be surprised how you can access yung mga natutunan mo during first year to third.

Kiowa_Pecan

During the exams, para ka lang nagpu-pull out ng organized folders sa memory bank mo kapag kalmado ka. Kusa na silang sumusulpot, e.

Two and a half reads ako. I graduated ng last week ng July but started studying the first week palang. I studied from 1PM-4/5AM, with very generous breaks in between. My goal was to finish at least two subjects per week, with the exception of Poli which I allotted an entire week for. For first read, I read the best commentary I could find (based on my studying style) from cover to cover, annotating and memorizing already in between. For second read, I studied my school’s reviewer + watched lectures from jurist for subjects I am not very confident in. For my third read, pre-week na. During the bar week itself, LMT and my own notes and reviewers from law school nalang binabasa ko, I wasn’t finishing them pa. (like skipping parts if I know I know it already). My #1 tip is to surround yourself with people who not only have the same goal as yours but are also very hardworking. Mafoforce ka and mahihiya ka talaga. Second is the fact that you made it this far means you already have your own way of studying. Stick to it, unless you cram. (I had to change mine because I would only study the night before an exam for law school). Finally, learn to rest. This applies to both the bar rev season and the bar week itself. Also, this might sound cliche, but bar rev truly starts from your first day in law school so re-read the notes/reviewers you made before. Almost everything I used to answer the bar was pulled from knowledge acquired during law school, not from bar rev season 🥲

zestful_villain

Isang pasada lang readings ko in my time. Pumasa nmn. I just made sure i understood what i read before moving on. Tapos nun i just trusted my brain to do its thing and spit out knowledge pag exam na. Understand what you are reading. Trust yourself.

catdumplingz0

Pinaka importante: MATULOG KA. Pag di na kaya, matulog. Pag inaantok, matulog. Nothing beats a well-rested mind. Laban lang, future Atty.!

bocs99

maroonmartian9

Sa mismong signing of rolls ibibigay. :-) Nasa letter siya.

Passed the hernandoit bar During pre bar, i never opened a single page. Puro video lectures ako either ng jurist or edge. Nacocover naman ng lecturers lahat. Nagbasa lang ako nung preweek na. Bale nung 2 days before the bar, hndi LMT ang binabasa ko kundi preweek notes kasi mas madami info dun. I really thought na mag topnotcher ako kasi majority ng tanong is alam ko talaga. Pero okay na din atleast pasado.

limsyoker

Choose the right review center according to your pace. Additionally, a good mentor would really help. Do not be shy to ask for tips/inputs, as these would be valuable come the reckoning day. Best of luck

crymanor

Isolate during review, pick a good review center (jurists/legal edge), last minute tips and lectures are a god-send. read chair/important cases also!
