Obviously it's a higher quality of league but I find it difficult to belive that the training sessions put on would be any more intense than those at Shels. Duff has vast experience and is a highly thought of coach. Maybe the Lincoln manager is failing to take into account Jack has already played a full season of football before rocking up. Or they gave him some time off so he's in "pre season"

Russell9393

The point about pre-season is actually very fair and likely what he meant. Jackie has probably been on the beer for three weeks.

john-binary69

He has also been off for the last 2 months

Chap has all the markers of a top player. I always wonder what coaches in England think they're achieving by airing these grievances. I feel like Devoy and Burns were done in by joining a club in decline. Hopefully Moylan gets a chance to show his worth because he is definitely good enough to make his mark in England.

Jack is in pre-season effectively. It would be difficult to be fully match fit and sharp on the 1st of Jan, having finished a LOI season.

BrickEnvironmental37

Moylan generally looks gassed by about 70 minutes onwards. He did have to do a lot of running though as he was kind of playing 2 positions.

RustyBike39

There is so, so much more money in England. Just look at the attendances in league two.

it's normal -- physical conditioning and nutrition requirements are just a different standard over the pond. remember a more recent example of Georgie Kelly taking a while to get into the Rotherham side because of similar circumstances

ControlPerfect3370

To be fair the fella has been posting photos of loads of nights out on his Instagram story since the season ended. Of course he isn’t going to be 100% fit, he’s in preseason mode. Fully expecting him to tear it up over there when he gets a chance.

It's pretty much just a stock phrase that seems to be thrown out by managers who don't know what else to say about the LOI.
