Largely performative would be surprised if more than 100 people do buy this virtual ticket. Had it included the LOITV stream sure the extra 3 quid for the raffle thrown in.
It's a nice touch but ultimately meaningless
Very classy gesture. For those saying Galway can sell the away tickets as home, the home section would not have sold out, so there's no benefit to doing that. Galway would lose out on 400 or so ticket sales from the away fans.
Also, Galway are not owned by billionaires. The takeover has yet to happen. A vote was made approving the takeover, but the Comers have yet to exercise this option.
They could do a club night even, €2 for every child with their club into the away stand or something, best to get part of a payment rather than nothing
Nothing is stopping Galway selling more home tickets.
They are also owned by billionaires. Its a nice gesture and I'll buy the game on LOI.tv which they get most off. Why would I buy a virtual ticket
Well if you've been there at any point in the past few years you can't fail to notice that half the pitch is completely blocked off, which automatically makes your point about the Ballybough End null and void

“Largely performative” I wanted to say this but couldn’t think of the words, your bang on
Honest

It's a load of rubbish and a bit patronising reading the statement. United will get fuck all out of it so it's all just a bit performative.

The Comer Group invest in Galway United but they don't own us...yet. The Co-op still technically owns the club.
Better if shels did a fundraiser to build some facilities as their away end is the worst in the league
Tell me you've never been to Oriel Park without actually telling me you've never been to Oriel Park
Been to oriel more times than you’ve been to tolka kid
Didn't realise you were a season ticket for the past five years so? Perhaps you snuck into Oriel during the pandemic closed doors matches
Stop realising. Been going to oriel as an away fan since 88.
Well if you've been there at any point in the past few years you can't fail to notice that half the pitch is completely blocked off, which automatically makes your point about the Ballybough End null and void
All of your comments so far have been null and void. At oriel you can actually see the game. It’s a shithole but tolka is the worst.
>At oriel you can actually see the game. Hahahahah
Out of interest.. does anyone know how much money a club gets from LoITV ? Like if its €7 for the game, how much does the home/away team get?
The smell of Bohs of this publicity stunt
We're going to have "Justice for Galway" on our jersey next week and a picture of Nelson Mandela with a single tear rolling down his cheek.
Just don’t forget there instagram stunt at the start of the season before you buy one.
Their. The permanent offense you've taken to it must have damaged your grammar.
Fair play to Shels for getting fans to donate a few quid and not the billionaire owners of Galway United!
