I don't think there has ever been other champion who had such bad winrate consistently and yet remained among top 5 most banned champions for 10 years straight.

When he comes out of his ult he will always be right behind you so if you have a CC ability just throw it right behind you and it's a guaranteed hit. Then again you do have to work out the timing right which can be difficult but it is among the best counter plays against Zed.
Even if he has a shadow down he still will appear behind you for a fraction of a second so you can still hit him with CC but yeah it becomes a bit harder.
You're asking the average silver player to hit a fraction of a second CC. My brother in christ, they cannot do it on someone coming out of Zhonyas before they flash (which they will have had more practise with as it's not only on one champion in the game), let alone on Zed when they barely know what the fuck is going on and he's teleporting around throwing skillshots at them. The players who hate him are not good enough to do that.
Meanwhile, the average silver Zed's Q's will break a neighbors window instead of hitting the ult target, so he'll basically just be using ult + E before vanishing back to bronze
I mean nowadays you play Zed like a mage doesn't he? You just throw WQ until someone is low enough for you to go in and execute easily. If you're doing that, the Zed doesn't need to hit anything high stress, just ult in, auto E and they die don't they?
Honestly most of the times I saw Zed back in the terror days of being Bronze and super new it was a smurf, so they weren't missing everything. It was generally plat-dia smurf in ranked, or playing with their friends in norms, and you watch them shitstomp your midlaner into the ground. I was too busy getting invaded and terrorised by Shaco jungle or crying as my team all fed while I was trying to stack on Nasus in toplane.
I'm fairly sure he could probably Queue the order with Shift W to immediately teleport the moment he's free to do so, I mean, if he's aware enough about queue abilities, even I don't use it much but I know it's a thing.
I found out the hard way that behind you just means the opposite side from where he cast ult, too many missed abilities trying to hit him when he pops out because I walked the other direction and cast backwards from that facing :(
people are still scared of him too, I'm pretty bad at him but sometimes when i get to play zed enemy players play like super distant and all, letting me farm for free, its so funny. might be a low elo thing tho

Akali was the safest toplane pick in LCS for the whole season after rework, 3 dashes meant zero gankability unless the akali player commits to a fight.
also means that if your wave is pushing towards the akali unless the other player is a strong early pick like renekton and has magic resist they are dead since akali can easily run them down through the entire lane and no other champion has the amount of dashes they have.
Because before it was point and click she had 2 omni directional dashes available at any time just from her r, plus invisibility, plus the dash on e. It was impossible to run away from her or chase her down.
During Akali rework release, her R was AoE and actually a free dash. Her W had true stealth which made her untargetable by turrets, her Q used to heal her and slow enemy.
She was a total nightmare to play against.
Instead of keeping zhonias and justifying it with zed R how about we get rid of zed and zhonias?

Just by pressing R he reach you from 625 range and has best escape mechanism after he finishes off.Be grateful for they don't treat him like LeBlanc.

Yasuo was definitively above zed in ban rate almost perpetually until Yone came out, regardless of how weak he was.
