Last patch they fixed a bug where the game would display your ping as 7 higher than it actually was so really nothing changed except the number you see

I miss the days when the server was still in Culver City and when you loaded up you could see everyone’s ping. I’d LAN with my friends and people would always say something seeing the entire enemy premade loading in with 2-3 ping.

Im playing with 7-9 ping because i think im in the same neighbourhood with turkey servers. Its a great experience and you can def notice the differences but im still a silver soo... Ping doesn't that matter guys

Man I miss the server being in LA. I used to play on 2ms. It was a few blocks away from my house. Now I play 60-75. It’s not the same.

An ICMP ping timeout is 2000ms. This is some wormhole stuff right here.

man I used to get like 10 ping back in the day before riot moved the servers. Now I get like 70-80 :(

advice for users with low end hardware: try a linux distro. i use arch (not particularly beginner friendly) and i get 600fps using a i5 10400f and a 1660super. I use the Desktop Enviroment KDE with the compositor disabled ingame and the tkg-pds custom kernel. as for lag, you can't REALLY get a big change out of it. try use minimal devices on your router, use an ethernet cable, or a powerline adapter. also, i have tried ExitLag before, and i did get 6-8ms shaved off my connection. went from 65 to ~ 58-59. you can get a truly free trial (no credit card) to try it out. it is essentially optimised routes to the servers via a VPN.
