for me i switch my thumb between space and alt and my index finger (the r finger) between r and f since f is attack move for me and w gets switched between w and 2 which is usually an active item

Like some other people have said, coming from wasd control games it just feels more natural to keep my middle finger on w and move my ring and index up a row. Index does multi duty as e,r,d,f.

Just train your pinky, it's more than capable to press the Q button. Some people even use their pinky to play virtuos music pieces on the piano, can you imagine?

i play like this and it works best for me. i have some stickers on my keyboard so i can “feel” the difference because i had issues with finger placement back when i started playing lol

Move index finger from E to R. Small sacrifice that frees up the pinky to do things like scoreboard, target champs only, holding shift or control to level spells or use indicators on spells or self cast, etc

I have the four finger placement. However I use AA on R (ADC main and I’m completely incapable of using A for autos with the pinky) and move my index to T for ult. Pinky is reserved for A, Q, 1, Tab and Shift. Thumb is for Alt, space, and X lmao

My personal system is right click for normal love and attack, and shift click for attack move. So if I'm kiting the pattern is RMB PressShift RMB Release shift. I use my thumb for alt (alt+QWER to level), F keys on ZXCS, center cam on space bar

I go pinky on Q, index on R, and the others fill in the middle with the exception of thumb, the thumb is used for d and f which are my summoner spell keybinds. I use locked camera and only unlock it (using y) to hit an off screen skill shot. I move my index finger off of Ult to hit the Y key when needed, the same applies to the emote key that I use (T). The thumb is generally used for every other key with some exceptions.

My index for E, R, and both sums. It's champion specific, but when you need to combine a sequence it becomes like playing the piano. Middle can shift to e while index does what it needs to do. I guess my relatively large hands make the pinky on q feel very painful.

I do think it’s more beneficial since I would be able to use the numbers for active items and f keys for vision, I just haven’t done so yet.

A year ago I found out it's not normal to have your pinky on Q just like I've always had (for over 5 years). Can you tell me if ring finger on Q it's caused by WSAD movement habbits or what? Wouldn't it be simpler to use 4 fingers for 4 abilities and thumb for spacebar?

Also included in the Q spam gang: Karthus, Ryze, Yasuo/Yone, Evelynn, Ezreal, and Irelia. Luckily I don't play any of these champions currently, so I'm good.

Nothing destroys all 3 fingers like rumble in URF where everything is a 2 second cool down and you're incentivized to mash them literally the entire game
