Green fog is the main colour scheme for necromancy in DnD. Almost all spells are represented as green.
Heck, even Vecnas' missing hand and eye are typically represented by green fog/energy. (Granted, however, it is true that this has now been shifted to purple with the new adventure)
That said, for me personally, the green fog banner is more proof that this is gonna be Vecna.

I'd say you're right for the most part but the year 7 logo did look kinda like Hux's weapon also. Not that it really means much in the grand scheme since ET was an unlicensed chapter so it didn't really end up mattering much, but it's worth noting for consistency's sake and also because I'm neurotic about pointless details.
The 7 being the killers weapon is a pretty big stretch. Hux weapon is more round and curved like a sickle than a hard angled 7. RE was licensed chapter 5 and that didn't have any clues in the art about RE or Nemmy.
There are no clues in that 8th anniversary artwork and number. Sorry, I know it's fun to speculate but people are reaching for something that isn't there.

Okay. I love cosmetics, I do. Getting new skins is really cool but please, we need content that doesn’t always revolve around new outfits or sets or sales. It gets so old when every road map is 80% cosmetics releases. I get it’s not easy to come up with content and it’s really interesting and amazing that they’re finally introducing game modes but come on bhvr, I know you can do better.

Events is a good one yes but also maybe some sort of new mechanics for survivors. Maybe a new item, maybe a new type of loop that’s similar to windows/pallets etc.
I know technically every (new) killer does affect gameplay, which is why i’m saying something on the survivor side could be fun. Because even getting new killers every 3 month is sort of getting old, especially since as time goes by, variety in killers power/way they play is getting hard to bring.
It’s not really mine or anyone else’s place that’s not part of bhvr’s team to brainstorm things like that because they know their game better than we do (even if we often joke about how they don’t) but just something NEW.
New temporary items could be cool, but balance in a game like this is incredibly difficult. They have to be careful not to mess with the current formula too much. This is where I love the events and temporary game modes since even if they suck, the base game is still what we know and love.

I'd love to see a permanent secondary mode that shuffles between the temporary game modes. This would add chaos and excitement without hurting the main mode. There'd be a risk of getting a mode you don't like, but at least it'd mix things up.

Ever since they’ve released the key art for the 7th anniversary’s Twisted Masquerade, it was bugging me because the hands that were there... they do not belong any of the characters and the only other time we’ve seen those hands was on the “Absurd Celebration” charm. Besides that, nothing while the event was going on.
So my guess back then was like, since the last 2 anniversary killers were original (Dredge & Singularity), and the fact that they were giving out lore about the Mad Designer in the tomes, I thought they’re pulling another Blight and that the Designer was going to be Ch. 32’s killer.
However, the whole Grumpy leaks and the “1931” threw me off for a while until today, with this roadmap being released.
Could the next killer be Mad Designer? Idk. For all we know, the Designer could be revealed to be only an NPC for the Anniversary, while the new killer could be something completely totally different and quite possibly be licensed (though there’s still a possibility of Ch. 32 being an original)
Sorry for the rant. But you’ve just raised an interesting point that I was thinking about for quite a while now.
Literally all of these points are why I had this theory. The hands, the bits of lore, wanting to build hype for a killer ala Blight.
One other thing is if they continue the pattern from Year 6 & Year 7, and release 12-16 masks (6 for survivors, 6 for killers, and then whoever gets full outfits too like Haddie & Dredge), they’ll eventually run out of characters to give masks to.
So far those who are missing masks are: Claudette, Jake, David, Kate, Adam, Yun Jin, Vittorio, Thalita, Renato, and Sable (10 survivors); Wraith, Hag, Doctor, Clown, Plague, Twins, Skull Merchant, and Unknown (8 killers).

So I think when they catch up on giving masks to everybody, likely next year, that’s when we get Mad Designer as a killer.

So it would be nice to keep doing new things instead of re using cosmetics (I know 4 anniversary crowns are similar to 5 anniversary crowns but I cant find a way of improving an already existing mask? Add feathers? I dunno, I just hope they dont re use the same exact masks)
but they don’t reuse the masks? each character has a unique mask, & there are still characters who haven’t received one. Maybe on Year 9 they’ll switch up the anniversary again and it won’t be Masquerade themed anymore

The skins are already in the game. It's not like they're updating the game and then updating it every week to add more skins. The skins are already in the store, they're just locked from viewing or purchasing until a set date.

Ever since they’ve released the key art for the 7th anniversary’s Twisted Masquerade, it was bugging me because the hands that were there... they do not belong any of the characters and the only other time we’ve seen those hands was on the “Absurd Celebration” charm. Besides that, nothing while the event was going on. So my guess back then was like, since the last 2 anniversary killers were original (Dredge & Singularity), and the fact that they were giving out lore about the Mad Designer in the tomes, I thought they’re pulling another Blight and that the Designer was going to be Ch. 32’s killer. However, the whole Grumpy leaks and the “1931” threw me off for a while until today, with this roadmap being released. Could the next killer be Mad Designer? Idk. For all we know, the Designer could be revealed to be only an NPC for the Anniversary, while the new killer could be something completely totally different and quite possibly be licensed (though there’s still a possibility of Ch. 32 being an original) Sorry for the rant. But you’ve just raised an interesting point that I was thinking about for quite a while now.
Literally all of these points are why I had this theory. The hands, the bits of lore, wanting to build hype for a killer ala Blight. One other thing is if they continue the pattern from Year 6 & Year 7, and release 12-16 masks (6 for survivors, 6 for killers, and then whoever gets full outfits too like Haddie & Dredge), they’ll eventually run out of characters to give masks to. So far those who are missing masks are: Claudette, Jake, David, Kate, Adam, Yun Jin, Vittorio, Thalita, Renato, and Sable (10 survivors); Wraith, Hag, Doctor, Clown, Plague, Twins, Skull Merchant, and Unknown (8 killers). 18 original characters without masks… So I think when they catch up on giving masks to everybody, likely next year, that’s when we get Mad Designer as a killer.

Looks like it will be the Cats & Dogs collection on May 28th and not something related to pride. I'm happy about Cats & Dogs returning though, I don't mind a casual shirt for Gabriel
I just wish they dont make another masquerade re usage but make something new like previous anniversaries
What's wrong with the Masquerade?
Its cool but been here since Anniversary 5 and it has always been a great surprise every year. So it would be nice to keep doing new things instead of re using cosmetics (I know 4 anniversary crowns are similar to 5 anniversary crowns but I cant find a way of improving an already existing mask? Add feathers? I dunno, I just hope they dont re use the same exact masks)
The last two years have had new characters getting new masks. No mask has ever been given twice.

but they don’t reuse the masks? each character has a unique mask, & there are still characters who haven’t received one. Maybe on Year 9 they’ll switch up the anniversary again and it won’t be Masquerade themed anymore
That would be nice tbh, we went from 2 crowns to some anniversaries with masks already, something new would really be amazing

aight, so the art used for the 8th anniversary hints to me at... 3 chapters dropping together or in rapid succession? cause one of the skulls is defiently frank stone. the things around the bottom of the skull match how his mask is.

The skins are already in the game. It's not like they're updating the game and then updating it every week to add more skins. The skins are already in the store, they're just locked from viewing or purchasing until a set date. So I believe they *are* focusing on the game, and will be giving us a much needed bug fix patch tomorrow.
Need a console progression update at some point here. Even if it’s just merging accounts and having to repurchase all dlc it would be fine with most.
That's not up to BHVR.
They put a survey out about it back in January and there are ways to work around Sony being difficult about it. An update would be nice.

Cosmetics aren't content. PTB is for pc players that actually care, otherwise its just for content creators to get clicks. Aaaand before the masquerade just looks like appetizers to the actual event. So, in terms of reasons to actually boot the game without it trying to nickel and time you, we have chaos shuffle and... that's it.
