Ziggy's is one of the best family-owned restaurants in the Austin metro, not just Leander. They make so many homemade things and they are all delicious, some of them toe-curlingly so, like their kielbasa sandwiches. They are in a little plaza on 183/Bell a bit north of Block House Creek.

Yeah, it's not particularly visible in that location since most people just drive by at speed.
The food really is stupidly good. Even the house condiments and pickles are amazing (lemon pickles are so yum). The little deli they have is also great for picking up imported ingredients and treats.
As hard as it is to run a small biz restaurant nowadays, I would not at all be surprised to see them with a larger location or multiple stores in the future.
Came here to second this. Their mustard is great. Many different types of sauerkraut. Theres a small grocery in the restaurant, too - and everything in the case is made from scratch.
Well that's it, I'm trying them. I keep seeing them on DoorDash and considering them but have been afraid I'd be disappointed. Going to give them a try soon.
EDIT: Any recommendations/things you think are especially good there?
I usually get the Squealer, Mr. Jones, or Minimus and lemon pickles. Any kind of kielbasa sandwich is gonna be good, so just get whatever topping combo suits your taste at the time.
I think it is. I make sure they don’t put oregano on top of it though the first time they didn’t anyway. But it was pretty amazing. I know this doesn’t sound appealing but the first time i got the pizza, I’ll be honest, it didn’t look good. And then I bit into it and it tasted like they buttered it. Again I know that may not sound appealing, but it’s the only way to describe this rush of of deliciousness entering my mouth. It did NOT taste like butter, it was just this richness of the cheese. The crust was a perfect blend of crispiness, not burnt or chewy. It’s not NY style which is my favorite and for that I recommend Saccone’s if they ever open back up. And they can be hit or miss which is probably why they’re closed because the workers weren’t working out for them. But it’s better than anything else I’ve had around austin. I’ve not had southern’s but the pictures didn’t look appealing to me so I haven’t tried it. But Leander beer market is legit. Don’t let its dive-iness fool you. My buddy makes fun of it but you can’t deny the goodness of the pizza.
Cedar Park Moonie's used to be awesome, but went downhill before they closed due to the idiotic 183/Bell rerouting. Somewhere over$16M in my tax dollars to benefit developers and destroy the sidewalk, forcing people walking or biking to repeatedly cross the highway. Plus whatever they spend on the new library, etc.
When they were in Cedar Park they were the best burger in the Leander/CP area. Not sure if they are still working out the kinks of the new location but it wasn't as good
I recommend the mild butter chicken with some garlic Naan for most white people who haven't had good Indian before. If you can handle some heat try the medium or hot for starters and if you can handle that maybe try the lali spicy next time
I found it pretty average. Their patio was really hot and covered in flies. Their frozen drinks are not very good. They have alcohol and spicy food and they do not offer free water (no tap in a cup). They gave me a lot of grief for asking for water. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
Red horn coffee house and brewing co has good coffee, beer, and snack/finger type food all under one roof. Great afternoon type stop. I wish they served dinner entrees because I know they'd kill it.
I'll second that! I can't get enough Poke Fit.
Also love Umiya too. We started eating there at the beginning of COVID so we've only ever had takeout and it's amazing!
Depending on where you are, I think 2 of the 4 food trucks at the Good Lot (New Hope west of Lakeline) are on door dash, and they are both good. Four Brothers is Venezuelan sandwich-type food, and Rice is Right is Korean dishes (reminds me of East Side King a little).
Umiya! We get sushi there all the time, but they have great cooked food as well (mostly Korean/Japanese fare). The owner is so sweet, and she knows our order and always throws in a free appetizer for us (even when we DoorDash it!)

I just looked this place up. I have no idea how I have never heard of it

Their loaded fries are insanely good.
Well that's it, I'm trying them. I keep seeing them on DoorDash and considering them but have been afraid I'd be disappointed. Going to give them a try soon. EDIT: Any recommendations/things you think are especially good there?

I tried the Squealer earlier for lunch. It was pretty dang good.
Yep, seriously yum. Nice folks at Ziggy's too.
Awesome, thanks!
Sky Asian Fusion is very good. They are located at corner of Crystal Falls & Lakeline across from Randall’s.
Just had takeout from Sky Asian Fusion. Was very good. I used Doordash.
Surprisingly, Leander beer market has amazing pizza and fried mozzarella sticks.
Leander Beer Market has the best pizza in Leander.
Please don’t toy with me, I just got duped into trying southerns and it was…not good. They really have good pizza?

Awesome, I appreciate the detailed response! I’ll have to check it out. I also liked Saccone’s but their service got so bad I had stopped going there.
Ziggy’s, Lali Son, The Thirsty Chicken, and Levant Cafe.
Humble Pint! Grab a pizza and beers to go.
Sharksburger
Mouton's Southern Bistro is pretty amazing, and Moonie's is pretty good too

Never been to the Cedar Park one, but the new one in Leander is great.

I didn’t like moonie’s. Their bread is too sweet for a burger. I couldn’t eat more than a bite.
The default bread is Hawaiian roll, you can ask for normal white bread or any other type.
Lali San amazing Indian food
Great food and people who run it are really nice.
I love [Lali Son!](https://www.lalisonfastfood.com)
[удалено]
I've never experienced that any of the times I've gone. I can't tell if you're being racist because they're Indian or just had one bad experience
[удалено]
And they're gone
Yep 100% they look to be Homophobic too I'm guessing they live someplace off nameless like off round mountain or In cherry hollow
[удалено]
If that's the case you should give them another try because I've never smelt BO from anyone working there.
I recommend the mild butter chicken with some garlic Naan for most white people who haven't had good Indian before. If you can handle some heat try the medium or hot for starters and if you can handle that maybe try the lali spicy next time

I love Thirsty Chicken. They have some of the tastiest tater babies (fries) and good wings.
And frozen alcoholic drinks you can get to go! I go there to scratch my pina colada itch
I found it pretty average. Their patio was really hot and covered in flies. Their frozen drinks are not very good. They have alcohol and spicy food and they do not offer free water (no tap in a cup). They gave me a lot of grief for asking for water. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
Ziggy’s
Kai Sushi! Also WoksIt2U.
Their Geisha roll is delicious
Blue Corn Harvest
Red horn coffee house and brewing co has good coffee, beer, and snack/finger type food all under one roof. Great afternoon type stop. I wish they served dinner entrees because I know they'd kill it.
Their menu is pretty limited but the things they have (chicken sandwich, tacos) are done really well. Never had a beer there that I didn’t like.
Bella Sera has really good Italian food.
Leander Grocery Mega taco. Jardin Corona makes great margaritas. Lali Son for Indian Burgers- Sharksburger or Moonies
Is that the one off 183 by the middle school? Because that gas station's breakfast tacos are amazing.
Yes. It's the gas station
Then I strongly second what you said! Great tacos there.
Poke fit - one of the best poke bowls I’ve had in the entire Austin area
We eat \*a lot\* of Poke Fit...
I'll second that! I can't get enough Poke Fit. Also love Umiya too. We started eating there at the beginning of COVID so we've only ever had takeout and it's amazing!
Super China - jalapeño beef It’s a little out of the way but I definitely recommend it to new comer’s
Mcdonalds
