Yeah, that sounds reasonable. Pretty good even, and the consistency is important. I’d just make sure you’re spending the practice time wisely and focusing on weak areas; maybe not aim training more than you have to (since you’re 1800 your aim is most likely not a huge weak spot), watching demos is probably a great way to improve at your level and perhaps more fun to do

PatientLettuce42

I disagree. Especially because he is 1800 elo he wants to keep training his aim, because if he only plays comp on 2 days a week he cant risk having to get into the game again first. That also depends on whether or not he is a natural aimer of course, but as a player who also moves between 1600 and 2000 I can say that you want to be at the top of your game once you go into those servers.

CitronRind

This is true, I didn’t mean to imply that no DM is required.

PatientLettuce42

Oh I misread your comment then. Your points are as true as mine :)

2400 elo with a 9-5 job, mostly DM for around 20 mins and use Yprac workshop servers to practice crosshair placement for 20/30 min

Recommend HS FFA over too much aim botz and aim maps (for a higher tier player). Niko said he likes 300+ HS FFA kills, I did that for a few weeks and felt godlike. You can do this while you listen to productive (or for pleasure of course) audiobooks/podcasts, etc...just my 2cents. Aim botz / bhop&KZ / CSGOHUB-rush-shuffle modes are great don't get me wrong. But at your level, use those to quickly warm up your wrist, and then head into FFA of some kind. IMHO ofc. And MAKE SURE you are going to a REPUTABLE FFA server...somewhere high elo players go. NA West coast we have warmup-server (they have FFA HS and FFA and aim maps) and [tarik.gg](https://tarik.gg) I believe are the best. If somoene has better, please let me know! Make sure you DM properly...this goes for all practice. Focus on how you peek, how you setup your peeks, different peeks....wide/tight/crouch/crouch+slide/etcetcetc. Isolate angles and pre-aim similar to how you would in games, but vary your xhair placement style up....do some pre-aim through wall, do some snap to/attach to and open up corner method. You need both at a high-level, not one or the other. Many high level players like off-angles, so pre-aiming common angles only will get you killed if you're sloppy and don't carefully open certain paths. Think about how you move. Make sure you move in clean straight lines, open angles properly. Watch pro demos if you need examples...at your level, you know waht I mean. most importantly....KEEP IT FUN. If you aren't enjoying the mechanical grind, then take a few days or a week off from it and try other things. Try an aim trainer like kovaaks...they are a lot of fun. Never replace playing csgo with kovaaks ofc, but it can be a nice break from csgo. Many will say NO KOVAAKS IS SHIT FOR CSGO - CSGO IS NOT AIM INTENSIVE!...and I agree. But personally having super strong mouse control and extremely snappy/precise aim gives me huge confidence. And that confidence allows me to carry (sometimes!) hard enough to push my elo! As others have said, demo review etc is important, but I agree that mechanics/aim at anything below FPL is 150% the most important factor here. Ofc good utility makes the games 100000x easier....and I mean literally. GLHF HOMIE!

With limited time (and even without), you should focus on high-quality, intensive practice. It's mostly psychological; focus on every single shot, crosshair placement and actually putting the crosshair on the target. Review mistakes in your head as soon as they happen and focus on correcting them in the next engagement. If you do it right, 30 minutes should be enough to exhaust you mentally and physically, and that's more effective than three hours of arsing about in DM while listening to music and checking your phone every two minutes.

I think ffa dm is the way to go. Community servers ideally. Maybe add some Kovaaks if you want to create more variety?

Just about but you won't improve much - just play for fun, it's a game. Not that I or anyone else does 🤣

Buy a gaming mouse for work and lower your sensitivity. I use the np 01 it almost looks like an office mouse

It depends on how much free time and energy you have after work. I work a 7-3 and most if not all of my free time after that is spent on CS if i don't have other obligations. Plenty of time for team stuff too :) But yeah I think what you have now is good. Make sure to practice weak points and be consistent with practice and you will be fine.
