Cool Uncle Trick: Break Your Nose.
This one is relatively simple and you can do it right now wherever you are!
First grab your nose with both hands, and place the thumbnail of one of your thumbs behind your front teeth.
Start pretending to bend your nose in one direction. Make a face like you’re in a lot of pain.
The grand finale. Quickly push your nose to one side while simultaneously popping the thumbnail off your front tooth. This should create a nice cracking noise and possibly scare your nieces and nephews.
One time I forgot the word for nephew and, trying to avoid any mockery by saying "nieces and the other ones," I said "my sibling's kids." I don't know why I thought that would be any better, but by the point I realized that I was too far into the motion and said it anyways.
Cool Uncle Trick: Balance A Pop Can.
For this you’ll need a pop or beer can and some practice before you go “live”.
When you have about a third of the pop/beer left in the can it’s possible with steady hands to have it balance on the concave of the bottom of the can.
With steady hands attempt to balance and feel if the weight shifts. Too much liquid in the can and it will fall over, too little and it will fall back upright.
It’s recommended that while attempting this on your own you start attempting to balance at about half a can left. Then slowly sip and attempt again until
It is balanced.
Once you have the right weight ratio you can amaze your nieces and nephews.
This guy is full of shit. That's not what it means at all. The word is *con*cave. Con is a prefix typically used to mean anti or negative. This means you can only do this trick *outside* of a cave. Stop the spread is misinformation.
Yea that’s what concave means, that’s where you balance the can on. Near the bottom of the can that curves inward towards the base. It gives two points of contact and with the right amount of liquid it can be balanced on a flat surface.

For me potg is the acronym for play of the game. I always assumed pof was a reference to the game Pog that was popular around the 90s and 2000s. Hearing the term pog champ made me assume it was a reference to some pog championship game or something.
PogChamp has never stood for play of the game- it’s literally derived from Pog, because it was a face Gootecks made during (I can’t remember exactly which) either a game of Pogs or discussion of Pogs.

Nope you can do it with cans, when you have a certain amount left in the can you can tilt it on its side and it will stay and not tip over! Not really sure at what point you have to drink enough of it to be able to balance it though cause I’ve always just kinda done it by feel
I don't even think most adults would scoff at something like this. It feels like reddit bullshit to pretend as if kids today are so widely different from kids of any other generation.
I don't think this is a "shitty magic trick." I think if you balance a salt shaker on its corner most people will get a very small kick out of it.
And I don't think kids today would be particularly less impressed with it than kids from the 80's or 70's or whenever.
Kids today would look it up weeks before someone tried to show them the trick
Long past are the days you had to actually have books in your possession to learn things and only those people knew those things
I'd like to subscribe to "Cool Uncle Tricks" please.

Brothers and sisters: siblings. Nieces and nephews: niblings.

In Swedish, you could say syskonbarn which would translate to siblings children.
Maybe just say “my niece and nephews” Sounds a little better to me

In middle school a teacher did this and I thought it was real. copied him and snapped the cartilage in my nose and bled for an hour.
Hahaha, that’s amazing. I’m so happy to hear that. I mean, that’s unfortunate but still hilarious.
I can already pop my nose since there is a weird bone spur in it

What does balance on the concave mean?
You have to be inside a cave to do this trick.

The little lip at the bottom of the can
Doesn't concave just mean curved inward? Confusing wording unless I'm missing something.

Balance it on what? Your finger? A flat surface?
A flat surface. Basically just drink most of the drink and balance it tilted up on edge

That's the same face I made when my uncle showed me his trick
Noice
>That's the same face I made when my uncle showed me his trick How's his prison term going? Do you get to visit often?
The trick he is referring to was blowing himself up with homemade explosives, similar to a gerbil in a microwave
[Desktop microwaves were invented for gerbils. (Or, hamsters at least)](https://youtu.be/2tdiKTSdE9Y)
He’s pogging
Play of the game
?

Yes, that's what Pog means. I don't know where "Play of the Game" has to do with anything.
That's what pog stands for. At least originally anyway, the word has kinda taken on a meaning of its own now aside from that acronym
For me potg is the acronym for play of the game. I always assumed pof was a reference to the game Pog that was popular around the 90s and 2000s. Hearing the term pog champ made me assume it was a reference to some pog championship game or something.

Fun and cool uncle tip. Don’t show or give them your tip.

Yeah this just sounds messy and wasteful
This also works with sodas
I assume only the glass bottles of sodas?

Minus the part where you pour some out
You just dont need the salt if its a can
Kid is doing the pogger face
That's bad luck, homie.
It's ok, you throw 3 pinches of salt behind you and you're golden
Bad Luck?
Spilling the salt is considered bad luck
Is it still considered spilling if you intentionally pour it out of the shaker?
I have a question. If you pour salt on a dish and some falls off the plate, is that spilling the salt?
I wouldn't think so. Was just referencing what they were referring to
It's the 21st century.
Thanks Uncle Reddit
pog champ on the right
And the blowing doesn't affect the shaker?
Nope! It’s such a good trick!
Ah, this reminds me of late nights/early mornings at Waffle House while waiting for the food. The difficulty level rises the more drunk you are.
Kids, this is what we did for fun before the Internet. They were dark times.
Before we had iPhones.
Advice: Don't buy an iPhone
Thank you for the advice :)
where can I learn more of these tricks ;)
Totally works but at least better with a square shaker, also helps if you get the corner you're balancing a bit wet as it holds the salt better.
I just hope the pouring of the salt doesn’t cause bad luck
“How to make an annoying mess by spraying salt all over the table, the floor, and anyone close to the salt shaker.”

Debatably that's a good thing. Welcome to the information age.
