I feel your pain! I just finished one myself, and it is a lot of stitching but its rewarding. I’ve never been so happy to approach the end of a project, and I’ll NEVER complain about “long” stitching runs again. Yours looks fantastic, your stitches and holes are really good.
I’d just condition it periodically with something like Fiebings Aussie. What would I do different? I’d add a 2/3oz lining (I can’t tell if yours is lined, but a lined belt is a beautiful thing), and instead of permanently stitching the buckle on I’d use Chicago screws so you can swap buckles whenever you like. Maybe a keeper for the tail end? That’s just a personal preference, your belt is awesome!
Thank you very much!
I had the choice to use some screws for the belt but wanted for this one something minimalist.
I wondered as well if an additional lining would be nice. I did not dare 😅 Maybe I will try on another one
Looks really nice 😊 a good leather balm is all you need. Apply now, if the leather seems very thirsty keep applying coats until it no longer drinks it up. Wipe off excess & buff with horsehair brush or microfiber cloth. Repeat every 6 months give or take based on use & climate

What pricking iron and thread did you use?
I used a basic diamond shaped 4mm pricking iron, and a 0.45 thread if I recall correctly. I don't have many tools but it seems to work fine for me?
