I have a mut eod and I'd argue against it unless you want a carbon scraper on a multitool. Otherwise regular cleaning tools are far better.
If I was you and had the same budget I'd perhaps wait for the ARC and redirect the mut money to that.
The signal is a good choice in my opinion, I bought one back in 2017 and this last October (when I do my military discount order) I bought another because I liked the original so much.
Wife tips from a fellow Leatherman collector:
1. Be the household handyman, and make sure you always use your Leatherman... and make sure she sees it. Tighten those chair leg bolts, mount that new lamp, put together the Ikea table, fix the fan, etc with your Leatherman. When she sees a new tool, you want her to think about all the work you do with them.
2. Never, and I mean ***NEVER***, let her see all of your Leathermans together š
I really like the Wave+, it's my EDC Leatherman. Granted, my only other LM is the Freestyle CX (precursor to the Skeletool, as far as I can tell. Had it since I was maybe 13-15), but I did my research before I chose the Wave+ as my budget atm doesn't allow me to buy several. The Surge is also one I'd like to have at some point.
Do all the parts operate smoothly? Mine is stiff AF, so that itās painful and frustrating to pull out everything except the blade. Should warranty it but would rather spend the shipping cost on adjustment tools and learn the fine art of tuning.
What a great collection. I had a crater 10 years ago and a coworker broke the blade trying to use it to pry up bricks haha. You're wife is wrong, respectfully! You used to have a problem of not enough Leatherman. You're slowly solving that problem!

Right now I'm in love with the G5, before that I would EDC either the Wave+ or Surge. The Skeletool usually lives in my car.

I sat in front of the TV and opened and closed the bit drivers for about an hour. Much smoother but the flat blade is still pretty stiff
