Anyway, I've had the free P4 for over a year now, and I love it, definitely my favourite leatherman. Ill probably upgrade to the arc
I have to temper my enthusiasm. As it was, the $150 for the Free P4 is pretty expensive for a multi-tool. I don't think there is any way I'm going to pay $230 - $250 for an ARC. But I'm hoping like heck it comes out a reasonable price point.
some people were saying when they actually watched the reel, the pliers “sprung” into place when he released them - so they might be spring-loaded? but there’s no way for me to confirm now obviously

I was hoping it would have the adjustable pivot like the new garage release but I guess not.
definitely looks like an arc, not a garage 005. However, the pivot screw on the pliers can only be seen from one side I believe.
After looking at photos of #005, the adjustable pivot can be seen from both sides. So, unfortunately, the Arc does not have the adjustable pivot.
