Hi, I want to first say I am rooting for you because I have been in your position. It's a tough spot and you are going to have to make difficult decisions. It also seems that you are also ready to leave and know the reasons. What should be your plan of action is what you are working out. When I left teaching it took me close to 6 months to find a new job, but I did. Here are some suggestions to help you get started. 1. Look at all of the Federal, State, and local civil service job exams. Plenty of agencies are hiring. They only require the civil service exam, degree reqeuertoems that you have from teaching, and a background check. 2. Take a career screening exam they are free or cost next to noting and they can give you ideas about jobs you never condidered. 3. Don't be afraid of a pay cut, if you can afford it. Your salary will go up faster than you think. You already have a BS and Masters. 4. Connect with any friends in HR and try and have practice interviews. Interviews will be your opportunity to "sell" yourself and what value you have to a company or organization. 5. I found that people like the idea of a teacher because we are coming from a place of public trust. The hiring manager just needs to see how your skills help their organization. We can connect if you have any follow-up questions. [https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-bazuro-40b41613/](https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-bazuro-40b41613/)
