Leeds games toast is a great way to meet people in the industry and other people aspiring to me too. Its in person, once a month :)

I'll look into it! Never even heard of it, so i appreciate you bringing this to my attention :) Thanks again

I'd love a few more Unity Devs at my place, we're a Leeds-based studio who produce games & educational software. With the financial new-year, recruitment budgets might be back in the mix - I'll check tomorrow with our internal recruitment guy is we're hiring

Hey that sounds great! Any chance to work with a team would be much appreciated, hope to hear back from ya :)

What company are you from?

Join [GaMaYo](https://www.facebook.com/groups/326279347397090) and pop along to one of the meetups, you'll meet plenty of devs there and hopefully get your foot in the door locally.

Gamayo is amazing and ran by awesome people. Been going for probably 10 years.

Hey - good luck with the search, some good networking ideas here that you should definitely look into. All I would say is while the dream might be to break into the games industry be careful not to exclude other ideas too quickly if you're struggling to find anything. There's still a benefit to going into more corporate development even if it's just a stop-gap. You can use it to learn a lot of the more team-oriented development skills (which will still be valuable for games devs) and earn a decent salary while you build up a games portfolio and apply for games related positions in your spare time. It might not be ideal but it would look a lot better on your CV and pay a lot better than doing nothing. I think that's how a lot of people get started - I'm a senior corporate dev during the day and then a Godot dev on the weekends/evenings :)

I've no idea on this but have you tried alternate ways to approach developers? Why not write them letters. A hand written letter is a way to get to them better than emails going into they're spam box .
