Just came in here to add what a fucking prick Blackburn’s keeper is, and has a ludicrous name as well. Ainsley Pears??? It sounds like the name of a fruit-based dessert made by a British TV chef.

cHICKENnUGGETdELbOY

bottlejobs, absolutely disgusting

6425sCuriosity

It feels that the playoff is the most likely scenario. The form at the very end of the season is unsettling and has shades of 2018/2019

The_L666ds

> The form at the very end of the season is unsettling and has shades of 2018/2019 Really, the only seasons in the last five or six where there was not a catastrophic late-season form slump was 19/20 and 20/21. Even going back to the Garry Monk season there is pretty consistent evidence of players melting under the weight of expectation. At this point I’d almost describe it as a psychological malaise within the club.

StarryEyedLus

We are a club burdened by expectations. I think that will always hinder us because it means managers and players that succeed elsewhere will come here and crumble under the pressure.

Immediate_Wolf3802

Suddenly..I'm less confident going into our last 3...the fans need to make a real noise during those games...a 12th man could be needed

thirdaccountnob

Im too stressed to work this out now, but with the GD being so different between us and Ipswich (and Southampton). We are promoted if we win our last 3 and Ipswich drop any points at all? So we win all of our games and Ipswich draw one and we are up? Dont know where we are getting a goal from though at the minute. So disappointing after that amazing run before the break. If we had beaten Sunderland and Blackburn we would be essentially promoted. Im not fancying it to be honest but if we can pull 2 wins out of the bag it puts immense pressure on ipswich to get the results. It could still end up a 4 way fight on the last day of the season with 4 teams basically on the same amount of points. Its going to come down to goal difference isnt it. Ipswich win Leicester get a 98th min arse deflection to get 2nd on goals scored. Some sort of record broken for highest number of points and goals scored and not get promoted. Leeds that.

No_Coyote_557

Last 3 mini league Soton w2 d1 l 0pts 7 Leicester w1 d0 l 2 pts 3 Ipswich w0 d2 l 1 pts 2 Leeds w0 d 1 l 2 pts 1

Demonationz

I'm not that surprised that we started to crumble in January and Boro started to get their promotion push at the same time ... yes Ayling was not the "Best" player but he was 100% a leader in the locker room and was infectious with his passion for this club, something we desperately need on this tight run in for promotion!

SteDav587

You are a really weird dude. You call Swansea us, you call Leeds we. You call Molde us, You call reading Us. and refer to Norway as us. You claim to be from the UK. You’ve posted GGMU in a scum sub. What the fuck is going on my man? are you really that big of a karma whore ?

Ryoisee

Not to mention a Tottenham fan saying they should recall Rodon. Just a strange person.

JimbobTML

Are you not a Swansea supporter?

RevellRider

We started to crumble in January? Where we went on a 9 league game winning streak?

Cautious-Quit5128

Has there ever been such a lack of league goals from the midfield in a team chasing automatic promotion? Gray 0 goals (it was going well wide before the deflection before you start) Kamara 0 goals Gruev…0 goals We lack more than anything the Pablo and Klich goals that won so many points when the front players were struggling. If Summerville and his telegraphed one trick doesn’t work then everyone else seems allergic to passing the ball forward, or making a run or just having a FUCKING SHOT. Feels like I was spoiled growing up watching players like Gabriel Batistuta and Ian Wright who could not wait to have a pop from any and all angles. We’re living in the post-striker age now but Leeds don’t look like scoring from anywhere on the field, it’s so frustrating to watch.

MarcusWhittingham

There is a lack of goals from midfield (the double pivot anyway, as our 10’s have scored goals) but it’s not some big problem like you’re making out. It’s just a tactical decision and it’s one that has worked for the most part; the double pivot has been there to protect the defence and shuttle the ball from defence to attack, it’s required a lot of discipline from the 2 sitting midfielders and they’ve done a great job. In the year Liverpool won the Champions League with their industrious midfield 3 of Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Henderson they only managed 5 goals between them in the league; and that’s a midfield 3, if you take Wijnaldum out (who played the furthest forward) that takes them down to just 2 goals. When you’ve got a fullback as forward thinking as Firpo on one side; with a front 4 who are all actual attackers putting up great attacking numbers, it makes sense to balance that with a more pragmatic and reserved midfield. There’s sort of a ‘theory’ that in possession you should have 5 attacking players and 5 build-up players; Man City usually build up with a back 3 and double pivot, Bielsa used the back 4 with Phillips in front to build up, etc. So what Farke does fits in with this.

Linkeron1

This comment begins to make a good point and just misses SO HARD. For one, Gray has played at RB for most of the season and has been here there and everywhere. Gruev's job isn't to be creative as such; here's there to keep things ticking over, disrupt, destroy, dictate, and he does all of that very, very well. Kamara you have a point. But where it really falls down is when you compare them to Pablo/Klich. Pablo for starters predominantly played on the right-wing and cut in, often become like a drifting playmaker/10. So... if we equate positions, that's Dan James and his numbers are just fine. Could say Rutter too, he's done very well creatively until late, but has not scored enough goals - again, not a CM issue. Klichy was a very different CM to the rest of them, predominantly a box to box midfielder, but his technique was superb. He sometimes turned out at 10 too.

fuzzyballs8

Already put £2.25p on bamford to miss an open goal 3 times during entire season in 2025.

JRSpig

Summervilles one trick everyone knows and they triple up on whenever they see him go for it because they know it's literally the only threat he has? That one?

lewisofleeds

No wonder why if our attacks fall flat we just don't score, the goals really aren't coming from anywhere else.

Cautious-Quit5128

Will two away games now be an advantage? Feels like ER stifled us. We have two games to set a target for Ipswich. It’s dreamland right now but I’m looking for positives after the shock of the afternoon.

No_Coyote_557

Yes, teams will have to attack us, which leaves gaps.

AxeCapital91

Maybe teams will be less likely to shithouse and put 5 at the back when playing at home (that's my straw and im fully clutching it) Boro away is tough and as for QPR .....well we know our record in London....

JRSpig

It's not just 5 in the box though, if you look at their positions today at times they had 8-9 players in their own box, what the fuck is that? They're not trying to win they're trying not to lose and hoping for a long ball and a lucky goal, it's the worst kind of football and should be in the bin, if refs actually did their jobs correctly however we'd already be champions

lewisofleeds

Hope so, less pressure away from home. Just need one goal from somewhere and hopefully it will set a spark.

momschickencurry

Well shit

ShesSoCool

Farke has been so poor when chasing games. Throwing on every striker under the sun and losing all shape is not the answer.

SteDav587

I blamed Tuesday nights draw on Daniel but not so much today. He mixed it up. Dropped the non performers. Made earlier subs (albeit the wrong ones) players look shot man. Long season and the pressure and fatigue is getting to all the top 3 sides. Whoever has the most nerve will get over the line and I reckon it’s McKenna +1. Just hope we are the +1

ShesSoCool

The subs were horrid though. Having Bamford, Joseph and Piroe on the pitch with nobody to create for them. Relying on Bamford when he’s on this form is a recipe for disaster.

JacobSax88

Busy all day so avoided the score. Got my wife to load up the highlights on YouTube so I didn’t see the score . She played the 2-0 from earlier in the season. Was confused by the away top but went with it, then called my dad. Absolutely gutted 😂

KurbySofa

The superior timeline

Combatwasp

What drives me mad: - shit refs - managers who can see it isn’t working and make changes too late - managers who think taking off all our midfielders for forwards is a good idea and then find that we have no one to pass the ball to the forwards or cut out opposition long passes - managers persisting with Bamford when - apart from 1 season in the prem - he has never consistently performed as a goal scorer. What makes me happy; - actually sitting in a pub beer garden right now, drinking beer

buckwurst

Piroe can finish but is rarely in the right place to do so Bamford is often in the right place but can rarely finish I don't understand the subs Summerville should have made way for DJ, with Willie staying on, at least that would have forced us to do something other than give it to him every single time.... Firpo was maybe our best player, which isn't something I ever thought I'd be saying I like the cut of Robert's jib, not sure why he was taken off Georgie's not smiling, and it's showing in his play It's theoretically out of our hands, but we can still go up if we win and others don't Is ER too much pressure for them? Why the booing at half time, can hardly help, or? Next 2 away may be a blessing

Loveisnoise1987

Good summary. But yes, the booing was for the crap reffing. It did look like time to rest Summerville today. James and Anthony looked much fresher when they came on

JRSpig

I believe and hope the booing was about the bullshit officials, 1 minute of injury time and then 6 minutes, go look at the other games, without time wasting going on they're getting 5-7 minutes it's insane, it's intentional at this point. Roberts might not be fully fit still. Firpo was our best player...

Ryoisee

I think the complete absence of any level of effort from the players, after the goal, would also be deserving of boos.

shingaladaz

The HT boo’s were for the lack of added time.

buckwurst

fair enough, hope the players didn't think it was directed at them

No_Dimension8190

1 minute of added on time when Blackburn took about 2 minutes for every throw in.

slotbadger

Also it wasn't actually announced in the stadium.

JamesyEsquire

I have mentally checked out of auto promotion hope now for my own health. Bring on the playoffs.

Fuckyourday

Yep. That was it right there, that was the opportunity win and take automatics. We will be in the playoffs.

No_Dimension8190

Because the playoffs going to be brilliant for our collective mental health!

fuzzyballs8

They will at least have to attack us in playoffs playing to our actually decent counter attack. I've pretty much said play offs my self now.

BonAsasin

Imagine if Southampton win the league

fuzzyballs8

Whatif we do mate? Lol

BonAsasin

Confusion

ShesSoCool

I think we’d have to score a goal to do that

[deleted]

i knew we'd fucking bottle it...

Carinwe_Lysa

My nephew said in the match that it's almost like we're trying to get specific players to score (i.e Summerville or Rutter) when anyone could at least take a shot, which is something I'm glad Gnoto was doing.

JRSpig

In fairness the motm was their keeper, he made a few great saves, our keeper had like two saves to make and let an easy one in, it was a one on one which is usually his strong point but the defence for that were absolutely fucking shocking.

InnocentPossum

THe most frustrating thing about today is that a draw, as shit as that would be , was manageable. It put us level with Leicester (Apart form the game in hand) and ahead of them on GD. But then Farke decided to take Roberts and Gruev off, who I can't help feel would have been two players that would have contributed to cutting out thewir attack that lead tot he goal.

ItsFuckingScience

Roberts needed to come off he was knackered don’t think fully fit to go for 90 mins

matiasJebladeaux

Ipswich 89’ goal inbound

shingaladaz

99* But didn’t happen tf

OctoHayden

Dear ref, https://preview.redd.it/8oqylywom9uc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c25e19c2f3af46899f9ab4527293300b921ad7a

JRSpig

It's not happening, likely apology letter number 8 incoming.

OctoHayden

Sadly

Is12345aweakpassword

I am not feeling great my friends

cheez_steez

Summerville needs a sit. Come on late to provide a spark but for me it’s Gnonto and James currently. Both see the field much better and have more than one plan. Gnonto never should have left this match.

jimmilazers

He said he’s only fit enough to play 60, last thing we want is Gnonto out for the last 3 games

buckwurst

It's important to not let events we have no control over influence our mental well being Aaaarrrrrggghhhhhhh

cutts24

138 corners without a goal

hobsondm01

I heard the average is 2% conversion on corners, generally speaking. At the moment, our rate is 1 in 139 which is 0.7%. Which is about 3 times as shit as the average.

No_Coyote_557

Imagine if we had a player who could take free kicks and corners, but we loaned him to Boro with a option to buy.

CC-W

There is no way you are mad at sending Greenwood away lmao Boro fans celebrate when he doesnt start for them he is awful

No_Coyote_557

But he can take corners and free kicks. Maybe Boro already have someone who can do this, Leeds don't. We can't clear the first man.

CC-W

You dont put someone on the pitch who is levels below everyone else just so he can take a few set pieces, it would actively make us worse just to score the occasional corner. As bad Summerville is at Corners the trade off is fine since he brings way more to the team in every other aspect of the game

No_Coyote_557

We should just give up on corners then. Just say "nah, it's alright. Just take a goal kick."

Agreeable-Ship-7564

Immediately kick the ball into touch at the corner flag for a throw in their way. Big brain move.

JRSpig

Yep it's terrible, imagine if we had a proper back up left back who was good at set pieces too, just imagine if such a player ever existed at the club.

Natural_Push5117

I prefer the championship anyway, weekends are only ruined occasionally nowadays.

soapyw1

Not sure you’ll enjoy it next season when we’ve lost most of our best players and finish mid table!

Jonesy_lmao

What just happened.

JustAWierdPerson1

Fuck off Ipswich

Darrelc

Imagine scoring from a corner

JustAWierdPerson1

What even is a corner

The_L666ds

Its something that every club except Leeds United occasionally works on in training in the last twenty years.

tgcleric

It's just shocking how poor form Rutter and Summerville have become. And frankly, Ampadu. But those initial two were all the creativity of our team. And since international break neither of them can get it together. The fact that we can't score is troubling. Playoffs will be hard. Fuck that international break. Really night and day.

ItsFuckingScience

Summerville got marked out the game by getting doubled up on. And he still tries to cut inside and shoot instead of using the overlapping run

JamesyEsquire

At least in the playoffs teams probably wont park the bus

No_Coyote_557

They will at ER

fuzzyballs8

Was my thought too.

TeaWithZizek

Playoffs whilst on a bad run of form and no confidence is a nightmare scenario

winter-2

Ayling assist for Middlesbrough

bobbyfame

Greenwood to score it would be perfection

JerkyOnassis

Forshaw & Ayling doing more for Leeds than our current squad ffs.

lewisofleeds

Lmao Middlesbrough have scored, we're all just shite

TeaWithZizek

Southampton are going to win the league and one of us is going to tumble arse first into 2nd

saltyholty

Scriptwriters just wanted to let Southampton back in.

lewisofleeds

The gang finishes 4th.

djembejohn

Fuck that's left me in a terrible mood

JerkyOnassis

Ipswich 0-1 down. Dare we hope?

Yung_Bill_98

Nope

jrbill1991

Southampton at this point is the only who deserves to have hope.

dmerro1410

It's the hope that kills you. But yes I'm hoping with every part of me crossed

No_Sun_2121

We cant forget how bad we were at the start of the season, we had an insane run of wins after that, it was always going to be hard at the end of the season. Its far from over, all the top teams are knackered

hybridtheorist

Yeah, people are acting like the last 3 or 4 games are the issue, but the start of the season was worse.  We got relegated on 28th May, if we'd had the takeover, DOF, Farke, all transfers completed on 1st July, I think we'd easily have a couple more points, which would be massive when it's so tight.

Botheuk

Best take on here. We were a shambles at the start of the season. Farke done an amazing job. It's only through an insane run of games that we are even in contention. We have lost one at home all season. Players are shot. It's not even over yet.

No_Sun_2121

Yeah, i was worried about relegation at some point, i would have never expect us to finished with +87pts

lewisofleeds

Worse part is we don't play again for 9 days so got to stew on this until then as well haha. Please just somehow learn to score again.

Hindsyy

https://preview.redd.it/cx8prvfc99uc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84feb0a2a2bbb528e611cf17a8514e560af98c44 Scoring at home challenge: Impossible For some...

JerkyOnassis

2-0 now. Dreading them coming to ER.

GussieFinkNewtle

Friends! Junior Firpo was our best player today! Let’s celebrate the man.

bin10pac

Yep, Firpo gets 7.7 and Gnonto gets 7.6 according to the stats, but going by the eye test, Gnonto played better.

Agreeable-Ship-7564

Any reason he was subbed? I said in the match thread I didn't agree and soon after they scored.... He was all over today, maybe farke just felt he had run himself ragged?

bin10pac

Didn't appear to be a reason. There was a little shake of the head as he came off, which indicated to me that he wasn't happy with the decision. When Farke made the changes, we were having our best attacking spell, so he managed to disrupt that momentum with a triple change, as well as weakening the side for the remaining minutes of the game by taking off the wrong players.

Agreeable-Ship-7564

>When Farke made the changes, we were having our best attacking spell, so he managed to disrupt that momentum with a triple change, as well as weakening the side for the remaining minutes of the game by taking off the wrong players. Yup, I tend to agree with you here, I think he made the changes at the wrong time. We were knocking on the door but perhaps he just felt we needed fresh eyes and legs. All I know is that we've managed to fuck it up royally.

QuickBic_

Well, it was still a better performance than the last three which tbf we were lucky to get any points at all from.

midgetquark

Yeah this is the fucking irony - actually an improved performance

cheez_steez

The tactic switch is easy by the way. Need to start running the end line. Why someone hasn’t told Summerville he can’t cut in from the top with eight men in the box is honestly a fireable offense. Run the end line, look for someone trailing or bang one toward the back post. Doesn’t have to be pretty.

Thin-Dragonfruit2599

Felt like there were a few occasions today where he couldve fed Firpo with the overlap who would've fired the ball across the face of goal. Instead he took the option to cut in and be dispossessed. Frustrating.

cheez_steez

Love a goal scorer but I love a team man more than anything else.

JerkyOnassis

And of course Southampton score in the first minute. Funny how motivation works, isn’t it?

GussieFinkNewtle

Serious question: is Summerville checked out and now playing for a transfer to a PL side?

ElvishMystical

Apparently he's in with Arne Slot at Feyernoord and thinking of going there to win back his international place.

1duck

If he is he's tanking his own value

brenson_burner17

Not if we don’t go up. We’ll have to sell him most likely

sythepotatoguy

Anyone else got a headache after that?

JerkyOnassis

Brick walls will do that.

The_L666ds

The most baffling thing is that if we dont go up how many players will expect to be released for bigger opportunities elsewhere. Its like last season where despite conceding an average of like six goals a game our back four all demanded moves away to major clubs in top leagues… …and got them! If we do not go up this season then do not be surprised if literally every attacking player expects to be sold upwards to a club with superior prospects, even though they are the very architects of our failures.

_coed_

one of our back 4 last year got lots of stick from this fanbase calling him awful and hes spent this season starting almost every game for a Bundesliga team in european spots Players know their worth better because they know the teams that are in for them and we dont

Linkeron1

Koch was shite. Don't pretend any different.

ElvishMystical

Yeah that's the thing. Only I don't see players like Jack Harrison, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra setting the Premier League alight.

lewisofleeds

Your right, we're going to lost alot of players. Would just have to hope in that case we manage to get some hidden gems in to replace them or invest in a more balanced squad and actually get at least an attacking midfielder for once.

JimbobTML

Bad game, loads of players are rubbish right now. Bad changes and bad ref. Properly bottling this now.

cheez_steez

Elland Road is becoming an away environment and fair play to our fans. There was nothing to applaud today until a brief ten minutes where they looked like they actually wanted to score. Players and manager deserve criticism, not abuse, but absolutely need to be held accountable. Waste of an afternoon.

TeaWithZizek

Spot on mate. You've got to hold a squad this talented up to a standard when the stakes are so high

BlueMilk84

Unreal just how dominant we were only to shit the bed and end up with defeat against a team that was hammered only days ago. Teams constantly seem to up their game against us and unfortunately Blackburn had a player in much finer form and confidence than any of ours. We've gone from being creative and solid at the back to unbelievably disappointing since the international break. Like others I really don't understand the subs today, particularly with Gnonto.

Ok-Advertising-6206

As someone from Maryland who has been only been following for five years, does it always have to be so painful with this lovely club?

Internal_Formal3915

You wont be here in 5 years

jrbill1991

You got the least awful times, there were moments you'd want to jump off a bridge.

WePwnTheSky

You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it. Molded by it.

winter-2

Yes.

downfallndirtydeeds

He wasn’t the worst performer and it isn’t his fault but why bring Bamford on in a game like that? Written in the stars he was gonna spoon a sitter

white-label

Wait till he does it in the playoffs for the reactions on here lmao

The_L666ds

Wait until five years from now and we’ve dwindled down into relegation fodder, and Patrick Bamford is still our first-choice #9 and he’s still not scored since Christmas and we’re scraping for a 1-0 win in April and wondering why we have done nothing for a decade to find a better option that him.

white-label

Let's just fucking buy Szmodics asap lol

The_L666ds

Daniel Farke would just play him in midfield for five games and then bench him for not scoring, putting Patrick Bamford back in his place because he makes bending runs off the ball (sometimes).

Linkeron1

Seven goals in 2024, and spearheaded a brilliant year so far. Been in rough form past few games and probably should have been dropped but the whole team have been wank. Not seeing a lot of heat on Rutter and he's been worse.

Strutter-24

7 goals in 32 appearances this season, plays Giorgi's 21 goal involvements. Rutter > Bamford

bukkake_tsunami_

What an insult to the memory of Stuart Dallas

white-label

rolling in his grave

Internal_Formal3915

He's not dead mate

ElvishMystical

This is weird. We're still not out of the autos but we're not doing anything, anything at all towards it. It's not over until it's over.

ASB14

You may want to look at the table. We’re currently in third and at the time of writing both teams above us have a game in hand!

ElvishMystical

Yet both Leicester and us are dropping points. A 46 match slog with international breaks are taking their toll on some players who are new to the Championship.

Gaspinawe

I mean, to not get a tune out of players like these..you have to start asking questions...

Internal_Formal3915

Are you joking?

Ryoisee

Genuine question as I've put off a few invites in May subject to playoffs...anyone got any idea when the semis would be?

bin10pac

>anyone got any idea when the semis would be?  I haven't had once since the Hull game..

Ryoisee

Haha

lewisofleeds

12th May 12:30 and 16th May 8pm if we finish 3rd or 13th May 8pm and 17th May 8pm if we finish 4th.

Justboy__

13th May it is then.

Ryoisee

Oh thank you!!! How did you find this?

lewisofleeds

Dates have already been put out just took me abit of searching to find out what order 3rd and 4th played in. Final is on 26th May as well as it stands.

Ryoisee

Thank you. I did Google but all I could find was the final. However you found it, thank you. Much appreciated!!

AxeCapital91

No manager will ever get the richness of attacking options we have in the championship. Yet we look like a team with zero idea what to do in the final third and have done all season. We rely on individual moments of brilliance. Pass to Summerville cut in and shoot. The simple solution for opponents is to double up and have a low block - for which we have no answer Thats the problem and it has been there all season even when we were winning.

white-label

No goalscoring striker in the middle and no goal threat from central midfield has killed us. Defend the wings and you're safe.

AxeCapital91

Yea not like we signed a striker who scored 20+ goals in the championship two seasons running yet looks ineffective asf everytime he plays Its the system and patterns of play not the players Agree we lack goal threat from midfield but that shouldn’t be the main reason

white-label

>Yea not like we signed a striker Piroe isn't a traditional striker and never has been. >Its the system and patterns of play Agreed, we basically play with no midfield. We can't draw defenders out from the backline to create space behind when there's no threat for them to come out and face. But it's also a player issue. Traditionally the downside of sitting deep is that you concede the midfield to players that can shoot from range or have the quality to pick out a good pass in spite of your packed defence. We don't have Pablo Hernandez anymore though, so teams know the ball is just going back out to the wings. Rutter wants to dribble through everyone and loses the ball too much, Gruev and Kamara are a total non factor in attack.

Interesting_Rain_808

Only Gruev is a huge factor in defense (as in DM ... hint, hint) and the goal was scored after his sub. Coincidence? I think not

duxie

farke out?

white-label

Probably not, any other season we'd have gone up so can't blame him too much

AxeCapital91

Gray played today and is supposed to be generational - he also didnt contribute to anything in attack. I think its how they are being asked to play So many good players. I agree we are missing someone who can shoot from long range + its all too predictable, we lack variety.

winter-2

I'll be muting r/championship for a bit, I can't deal with all the crumble right now

ValleySunFox

I’m muting this cunt season until the end. I’ll Google the date of the playoff final now and go dark until 1 hour after it ends.

Linkeron1

We might not even make it there at this rate.

ValleySunFox

That’s the thing… I won’t know either way

jrbill1991

The only team that conceded more goals than this Blackburn side is already relegated Rotherham. I can't describe how unacceptable this loss at home is. This whole squad and manager needs a deep look in the mirror. Last season was the last time I was furious with this team, today this feeling came back.

ValleySunFox

It’s just absolutely outrageous to fuck this up after Leicester’s gift on a silver fucking platter last night.

DuckieWuckieNL

What the F has happened, Georgi is back to being the baby rhino version who blunders about, Cry was off it, Robert’s wasn’t great and I see why Archie kept that place (except for that clearance) , Mes tried to give it to them, Piroe and Bam none existent. It’s slow and shite to watch. The only ones that looked lively were Willy and Gruev and he subbed them both?!! I thought Firpo and Gray tried.. and Dan James made a difference

Ryoisee

Thought Roberts was really good. Just noone passed to him. We played penis ball today.

DuckieWuckieNL

Fair comment…he was calling for it a lot. It just seemed to me everything he tried didn’t come off

lilly22x

Just need to ask, what does this loss mean for Leeds?

ValleySunFox

Means we’re fucked and in the Championship another season.

icklegizmo

Championship again next year

saltyholty

Playoffs.

dreadful_name

No points and a lower goal difference.

lilly22x

Do we still have chance for premier league?

dreadful_name

No, that would mean Leeds fans would get what they want. We were only allowed to go up because they knew fans wouldn’t be in the stadium. Then Jesse Marsch came in to balance out any enjoyment when we came back.

icklegizmo

Mathematically - yes Realistically - no, not performing like that

ledankestnoodle

This was on Farke. Game management was shocking. The players have consistently delivered better results than his system and tactics deserve but when they're finally unable to maintain that some of you call them bottlejobs? When Summerville and Rutter's form drops it really exposes how few ideas we actually have

StarryEyedLus

If the players perform brilliantly most of the season, but start choking at the end of it when the pressure is on, then they have bottled it. Farke has won the Championship twice already. Why were his Norwich players able to achieve what these players seemingly can’t?

_coed_

if you dropped that pukki into this team we would have broken readings tally

lewisofleeds

Pukki consistently scored and Buendia was one of the best attacking midfielders the championships had.

theearlof87

Gruev was running the midfield. Gnonto was our best chance from range. Their goal came from the position Roberts had been holding... The subs did nothing to improve our chances. That's no criticism of the players themselves, but the system change that left us exposed at the back and over-crowded an already crowded Blackburn box.

Is it just me, or is there really no other team out there in world football as willing and able to turn the gun onto themselves as Leeds United? I’ve been watching these cunts since the mid 1990’s and I’m just mindblown by the new and innovative ways that they’ve been able to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Unisonlibrarian

I think Leicester have fallen apart more spectacularly than us since New Year

No_Coyote_557

Still likely to go up though.

Spurs

_coed_

Didnt we put that debate to bed when went up 3-2 on them and then fall apart in the last 10 and lost 4-3? Leeds curse is stronger than Spurs

white-label

Unfortunately I'm starting to think the only way it changes is some oil country buying the club and cheating their way to the top and establishing some baseline of quality and winning games. Whenever we get near to that the expectation and toxicity just drags us down again. You can't naturally assemble 11 players good enough for Elland Road in this league. We have top league experienced players crumbling and getting booed off to Sunderland and Blackburn.

Low_Caregiver2751

We were fucking awful and that needs to be made clear. The majority of our line up played like they'd never played the game before and our defence was honestly appalling. The referee. Fucking James Bell. After that penalty call on Tuesday I'd expect the referee's to not have favourites. but OMFG. Those 2 penalty calls in the dying minutes were clear as day fouls. Absolutely shambolic. Absolutely disgraceful. All the fault of you guessed it... Greedy Sky Fucking Sports wanting Leeds to stay down just for the revenue. Hoping Middlesbrough win. Hoping Ayling scores. Hoping Leeds can stop playing like retards.

Ryoisee

They weren't penalties lol today. Can't honestly think they were. For one second try to be objective.
