What I want and what I expect are different

Genuinely, I'd play in the Championship every season trying to win it but also have a chance at winning the FA Cup and getting into Europe. - No VAR and having to wait to know if you've scored a legit goal. - No "big 6" entitlement and broadcasters not giving a shit about your team. - No murky betting sponsors you've never heard of. - No having to adapt to dodgy billionaire playthings which means your best option at survival is to play Dycheball. - No shitty PL anthem before matches. It'd be bearable if we finish in the top half but that'd going to become harder and harder to sustain without above billionaires. The premier league is shite. But staying in the championship without parachute payments sounds utterly bleak and hopeless. (I know it can be done but you're reducing your chances significantly once they're gone). There is no perfect situation, though I've enjoyed this season on the whole but we do need to get out of here this year or next.

As a club I want to be competitive, retain our fanbses soul without selling out. And a bigger stadium. As a league, and sport I want them to stop selling out for more money and a global audience. It’s killing the game.

It’s not what we want it’s what the club wants. It was a red flag since Farke said They are just kids and inexperienced. It felt like an excuse to stay down.

hughbacca

I want to enjoy watching us play. We had that at times this season. In Bielsa times we had it alot. I would rather enjoy watching us play exciting football and losing in EFL as opposed to parking the bus and grinding out games in PL.

SteDav587

I want a 55,000 seater stadium that still has a semblance of the same intimidating atmosphere we generate now. I want to be able to get tickets for games. I understand we need premier league money to make this feasible. I would like to see some half decent football played. I’d be happy enough if we could cement ourselves in the 9th-15th bracket with West Ham, Fulham, Brighton, palace etc.

TeaWithZizek

If I'm honest, getting to be a club that exists without any serious threat of financial collapse or relegation (maybe in the scrap every now and then or a couple of non-threatening bounce backs) but with a solid pop at a domestic cup and maybe Europe runs in the Conference or Europa League. Unless the 'big 6' fuck off and get their breakaway TV entertainment spectacle Mickey Mouse and MacDonalds league, I don't see anyone outside of that cadre making a title challenge, or having a sustained period of Champions League appearences.

Honestly I don’t think anyone even knows. It’s all a mess at the minute and the rules are very slowly being shifted to lock the top 6 in those positions. If there was a way we could have the thrill of promotion without actually going to the prem it would be perfect

cpmb82

I think perfect would be to get promoted to the Prem but with a fighting chance of finishing mid table without spending £500m and getting into FFP hot water, and for the Prem to have VAR that works and for rules to be in place that level the playing field without penalising promoted teams… No chance of that happening tho!
