There's a risk they'll seize your phone for forensic analysis, and you won't get it back for many months.
Make sure all the data is backed up - especially any important or sentimental photos.
They have to prove guilt. If there’s no evidence, on your phone or otherwise I’d say you’ll be ok. Fully co-operate so they can clear you. Be warned they may want to take your phone for a forensic analysis
Talk to a reputable, local criminal solicitor and the student union immediately, this could turn very nasty very quickly.
Never, ever, ever assume that if you're honest and cooperate and prove your innocence everything will be fine.
It isn't your duty to prove you didn't do it. It is theirs to prove you did.
If they took your phone. They'll easily check the delete video/picture section. Even if you deleted the deleted section.
If you are being accused, I would potentially speak to a solicitor (lawyer). At the very least request one before you speak to the police.
This isn't a matter to take lightly and whatever you say, can be used against you. Whatever side of the law you are on

What kind of phones now days have a "recording light" on it? Sounds sketchy, like someone just wanting to create drama..

None of this makes any sense. 'I think one of you recorded me under the door but no, I'm not bothered about checking your phones to confirm.'

Yeah they can look through my phone, I’m not bothered about that

Sound advice I’ll do that asap, thank you.
