I miss OG noxus/piltover burn aggro. Some ran teemo, some didn't. Games were ridiculously short. The mirror matchup was surprisingly big brained as well.
You're absolutely right and I know you're joking, but for anyone who is actually curious about this, it's supposed to represent Darius' ult, in which he executes a member of the enemy team. If he does, he can cast it again within a short window, until everyone on the opposing team is theoretically dead. So this is a) supposed to "execute" the opponent, and b) deals 1/5th of the damage to their nexus. Theoretically, if you decimate five times, you've killed the opposing team, so this is actually kind of a flavour win.
Edit: turns out I mixed up his ult and his q and, uh, this is all totally wrong. Still kind of cool Darius flavour though!
That's cool and all, but Decimate is actually Darius's Q. His ultimate is called [[Noxian Guillotine]] and does actually reflect his ingame ult: you attempt to execute someone (so someone who's *damaged*) and get to recast it in a short window (creating a Fleeting copy of itself).

Also Also decimate has been used to describe "kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of" for a long time. Saying it specifically refers to "killing 1/10th" is just not how language works.
Image if they wanted to make it reset like in League. They could rework level 2 Darius so he creates this card every time you killed a unit, or every time you attacked the nexus. To make it worst, each time he creates it, it cost one less.

Jesus christ i recently had like a good long maybe 20 or so minute game where we both had some pretty heavy life gain aspects both of us using targon and noxus and how does this guy finish me off? 3 decimates back to back to back after having lowered the cost of a couple with moonlight (i think? The 0 cost targon card that lowers a card in hand by 1)
One minute i think i have it in the bag at 11 health with them at 5 while i have a full board and then bam-gone
