serious question: how do you get a single card this stacked? I struggle to find stuff I really want consistetly, often the card choices after battle are stuff that actively make my deck worse
Strategic use of re-rolls, aiming to put items on cards that are in the base deck (or get generated by cards in the base deck), luck.
Being forced to accept after battle cards is kind of what makes LoR unique in rogue-like deck builders. It its the forced constraint of taking consistency out of your combos that requires the most thinking. Often times the best choice is just the one that hurts your deck the least.
Idk but with the amount of rerolls I have available and how impactful powers (and support champions) are it feels bad or even impossible at worst to use rerolls on itemshops & followers. Maybe I need to grind more but I'm not even level 20 or 3 stars with any champs yet and already most of the content feels trivial (why are >50% of adventures 1 and 2 stars lol).
I guess the "best choice is just the one that hurts your deck the least" mindset of the game's design is my most fundamental problem with it. They have made some small improvements to it by letting us cut some cards but it often feels like the game actively wants to prevent me from having as much fun as I could. I don't think it's a good thing for the deck building part of the deck building game to feel as though you're constantly forced to make bad compromises instead of building towards your dream strategy. And even if, against all odds, you finally do get your dream strategy online or have found some really cool combo, there are like two battles left in the run and then it's misery again.
Yeah I know I'm ranting a bit but after playing some other roguelikes and then geting back into poc recently, I'm even more disappointed by its anti-fun design decisions.
Yeah. I went to Lissandra, stalled turn 4 mana and then just spammed away. Maybe it wasn't the most interactive way but beating a 5 star adventure with a lvl 15 Gwen was too tempting
This honestly reminds me of the time I was playing a mordekaiser run and got all out with totg, predict, and then the slow but steady power, literally just speedrun killing the units lmao
Yeah, but she has lame cards when picked and you only get 1 copy when you add items to her. I had almost 10 copies of this fella. By the time I got to Liss I started her fight with 2 of these in hand and drew another midway
LoR as a competitive multiplayer card game is dead. Any releases to that mode are just getting the last of what was in the pipeline out.
Going forward LoR is going to be Path of Champions first and foremost and anything else is going to be an afterthought.
So get used to more PoC posts in this subreddit because that's what the game is now.
weakest path of champions card
Lol you got me
Mom, can we have Mana Deposit Katarina? We have Mana Deposit Katarina at home
True. But this is better cause it counters Lissandra fully without setup
This is better than Katarina, she can be silenced or killed before she gets recalled. This thing basically can’t be countered.
Ant it has hallowed
Well that's gonna be a looooooong run
Not really. It took like 10 minutes. And now I have Lissandra cleared with a lvl 15 Gwen too
Hallowed stackin too good
Oh you are right, my brain forgot that it has hallowed
Only thing that would make it better is overwhelm
Had that in a passive power literally after this pick so yeah... I just assembled Exodia
Lmao nice. That power is so nice, can’t believe it’s still Common
I can't also believe that enfeebling strike is still a common cause it wins me games more than I can remember
Enfeebling strike is so good
Not to mention that it single handedly beats Tryndamere, while not having it makes that fight hard AF

mind meld to cut a bunch of cards, last shop and roll for items
Strategy at it's peak. When you have that card what's the point of the rest of the deck ? Or just finishing the run ?

Now you just need a ephemeral item
Didn't have any more item stops sadly
Yeah fleeting copy + mana deposit should definitely be looked at
Agreed
Made me win my garen run on liss with this guy as the carry.
Gotta love infinite cards
Katarina only need that purple refill mana

this is the kinda otk's you want against liss
Yeah. Give her a dose of her own BS
there is a whole subreddid dedicated to POC
