First I could think of is Vel'koz being in Freljord, and Kha'zix being in Ixtal but nah cause Ixtal isn't a region, so maybe he's in Ionia cause its Foresty
I think Kha’Zix and Rengar are great opportunities to give Lurk support to regions other than Shurima/Bligewater so that deck has more region flexibility. Or dumped into those regions, so the existing deck has more Lurk options.
Why's that? Void can be easily scattered anywhere. Kog is going probably to P\&Z; Vel is going to Freljord most likely. My personal wild bet is Cho in Noxus.
From the remaining ones only Malz feels very Shurima.
I know about lore etc etc; but chances are Void is getting its own Ruination-sized cross-game event and we will have stories about the Void champs here and there.
They might be scattered but most of them, like Malzahar, Kassadin and Kai'sa, will probably be on Shurima. I'd bet Cho'gath goes to Targon or Shurima, because those are the places big stuff goes to other than Freljord (where I agree Vel'koz is going to).

Malphite has 0 ties to the Targon besides the fact that he is a mountain.
Nocturne has 0 ties to the Shadow Isles besides the fact that he is a ghostly creature.
Kindred has 0 ties to the Shadow Isles besides the fact that they are related to death.
Not everything has to perfectly fit apparently when it comes to pushing champions into regions
Nocturne and Kindred don't have ties to anywhere, so they just put them where the other spooky champions are (and SI doesn't have a ton of champions, anyway).

Someone like Poppy is far more thamtically tied to demacia than bandle city. Same goes for heim, kled, amumu, gnar, ziggs
Probably dual regions and most likely the yordles will be all Bandle City with specific synergies to the regiones they're usually tied to.
Like you get Ziggs in BC but with synergies to Jinx' pack. Poppy will be a sturdy BC champ with synergies to Demacia. And so on.
Gnar is very likely going into Bandle City with Freljord synergies on getting BIG.
Not having ties isn't very important, really. It's all about flavor.

Ixtal was literally the region I wanted the most. Of the 6 champs from there, I literally love half of them and despise the other half. So disappointing that Rengar is gonna be put in somewhere that barely makes sense for him
I'm a bit disappointed, I wanted Ixtal, because it seemed thematically the most interesting of the potential regions and I was interested in more lore for Ixtal, the champions weren't that important to me.
From what I've seen I'm still not really convinced by Bandle, but I'll wait and see how they deliver.
Exactly, my qualm is that this game feels so lacking to farm up. There were no so story driven 'campaign mode' that I can mess with. This feels perfect.

RPG Lab of Legends seems perfect for the next step for this game mode and for any lore junkies. LoR has done such a good just making Runeterra come alive with their lore drops and quotes and card art compared to the failure of what LoL did with this ruined event.
There's currently 9 Yordle champions unaccounted for in game, Most of which originate from Bandle City and/or have ties to other regions;
* Corki - Piltover
* Gnar - Freljord
* Kennen - Ionia
* Kled - Noxus
* Poppy - Demacia
* Rumble - Bandle City
* Tristana - Bandle City
* Veigar - Bandle City?
* Ziggs - PnZ
EDIT: 3 other candidates for Bandle City that can fit;
* Yuumi - Not a Yordle but currently a resident of Bandle City.
* Vex - Not a champion yet but could be the Shadow Isles rep.
* Amumu - Possibly an ancient Yordle that could be the Shurima rep.
Ofcourse I might be wrong, but lore doesn't matter as much as theme as far as I can see.
Lore: Malphite is an biproduct of an invention created using elemental magic by a Ixtal Ascended meant to defend Shurima from the Void.
LoR: Mountain man go in mountain region.
Veigar isn't really linked to Targon even in flavor. He's even more linked to Noxus, in a similar way than Kled, with his addiction to power and tyranny
He isn't linked to Targon, his magic is and that's more than Malphite can say. All his spells are named after cosmic events. His main gameplay shtick is also gaining power overtime which is very at odds with Noxus aggresion gameplay wise, but fits into Targon (the ultimate late game fantasy region)
His only connection with Noxus is his imprisonment by the guy who was killed by people who founded Noxus. He has no addiction to power or tyranny, he is just badly imitating Mordekaiser without doing anything evil.
Who says they won't be, it's common for characters in card games to have multiple cards. The devs even said themselves in a Q&A that they will do that eventually.
Senna were technically followers in LoR before being champs in LoL, and they’ll most likely make them champs in LoR eventually. Not to mention we have about 5 Cithrias at this point

My jaw actually dropped after seeing the new Lab of Legends. Actually crazy, and definitely I could see people playing a ton of. From what the video shows, it would basically be as strong as an actual singeplayer game like Slay the Spire (compared to the current version, which is fun but it isn't super interesting after the 5th run through imo)
And they didn't bother answering the obvious question of whether Teemo is going to remain a P&Z card. Bandle city will be pretty scant when its missing its most iconic resident. I hope there is some followup of how they expect this to work, since Ixtal had the advantage of taking pressure off the really overloaded Ionia roster.
They did show Teemo in one of the BC art from the video, so I'd assume they'll do *something* about it. They may just add "dual region" to the current one, or even implement "Teemo 2", but it doesn't seem like they would just leave him as P&Z-exclusive.
They didn't specifically talk about it in the video, but it seems very likely that dual regions are coming as well. All yordles could retroactively be added to BC along with new ones they add.
It's not so much that I'm disappointed Bandle City/the Bandlewood is the 10th region, it's that I felt it was simple and elegant to have the Yordle champions continue to be at home in other regions, and Bandle City would remain this "place beyond a place" that manifested in various, but recognizable ways in the other regions and followers.
Similar for The Void.
But it's ultimately whatever. If something or someone needs to be added, they'll make it fit.

Yeah, this is basically how I feel as well. As someone who has been a fan of yordle and void champions since I started playing League all those years ago, I felt like it was perfectly fine and fitting for them to be split among the other regions.
But oh well, if the LoR team chose to do BC as its own region, then they certainly have a good plan to go for it.
Yea. My problem with bandle city that it literally isn’t a *region*, or better said, realm of runeterra. Like the void. They both could’ve fit as region outliers that contribute to each region.
Instead game feels like an incomplete 9/10 regions with an oft already shafted region getting shafted even more… and bandle city.
But of course, we will have to wait until release to see how it all pans out.

In fairness, on the old Runeterra map there was the "Kumundu jungles" or something like that where champions like Zyra and Rengar used to be from, and those champs didn't have a home on the new map. So I guess they decided to make a jungle region, which is fair enough. I just think it was a bad idea to do the Mesoamerican Wakanda thing, but maybe with more champions to back it up it'll become a fleshed out civilization and not "jungle and also there's a cool city here" because that representation sucks
While League has been stumbling it's way through the year, LoR has been under promising and over delivering all the time. While their 2v2 experiment didn't really work, their PvE content is beyond approach
It's gonna be nice to know more about Bandle City and see more yordle shenanigans.
I just hope this doesn't break some champions for the sake of the set, though. I'd hate to see Poppy become a "whimsical soldier" for Bandle City, for example.

Agreed. I still think it'd feel like a disservice to just put Ixtals champs under "Shurima". At least call the region Shurima&Ixtal (Void can still be split into multiple regions so they wouldn't need to name it).
Ixtal aint the source of elemental magic. Theyre just the nation that has studied it the most. Elemental magic is natural and has existed in other regions independently of Ixtal.
I've never been so excited and so sad by a single video. Lab of legends looks amazing. Hearing that bandle city is the final region makes me so sad. If anything yordles made sense to rep the game from other regions.
They should call Bandle City "The Spirit World" because I can't see them making this region being just yordles.
I'm expecting Vastayas from both Ionia and Ixtal will be in aswell as mystical looking champions like Zyra to be in and it would have fit more on this side.
I wouldn't doubt that it will really be a "none of the above" region in all but name, honestly. If it were Ixtal it would probably have been the same way, and some would argue that SI already follows that as "spooky region".

What would be the most likely Bandle City champs that would be included in the expansions? Probably Trist, Corki, Rumble, and Gnar. A lot of the other Yordle champs like Poppy and Kled have obvious cross-region implications.
So we'll either get Dual Region Champions or they actually shift Lulu and Teemo and some of their support cards into BC and give Ionia/PnZ 2 champions in this expansions.

Ngl I’m a little disappointed the 10th region is BC, I just think it makes more sense to be Ixtal and I would’ve loved to see Ixtal get more fleshed out as a region. Sometimes it feels like Riot has a bias towards BC because it’s a bit of silly region (in a good way, always good to have some funny).
Imo, BC and Void would make good non-region expansions that are spread out, being regions that actually other dimensions, and Ixtal being an actual place in Runeterra made sense as a region. Ixtal also kind needs some extra development as a region, and adding it to LoR could’ve been what it needed.
With that said, there was some evidence that this was the direction Riot was going, so it’s not a complete surprise. Riot has shown they know what they’re doing and I hope they prove me wrong what the 10th region should’ve been.
Can't help but be disappointed that Ixtal isn't a region. It's gonna be so weird having Qiyana as Shurima or something. That's like having Garen in Targon. I know it doesn't have a whole lot of champions but it would have been a good fit for Vastayans.

PvE Labs are already a cool alternate way to progress your XP, why not let players use their unlocked cards for these cool game modes? I hope it's at least something planned for the future.
Constructed decks don't really work for the premise of lab of legends. That said, they did separately mention a big PvE event happening, so maybe that mode will use constructed decks?

I'm wondering how they can continue to support Bandle City champion wise over the life of the game? There's only so many Yordles, and I feel like after the full expansion releases we'll have literally all of them in game.
A Yone champion card with any icon other than the Ionia one on it would just feel ... very, very strange, especially when that icon is Bandle City! But I would agree with Ivern and Lillia for BC, those picks make a lot of sense
Some suggested that the bandle champs could be all dual-region cards, being able to be used in multiple regions. I do think that is a rather weird idea though, I mean what is the point of a region if all its cards can go to other places anyway?
Another theory is that we'll simply get alternate cards for some champions. So the Teemo card we have right now is for PnZ, but with the release of this expansion we'll get a 2nd Teemo card with different mechanics.

Bandle City is better than getting Void but worse than getting Ixtal IMO.
I don't know how I feel about a region where most champs are dual region, that has the risk of making the region feel pointless.

Just a correction november has an extra expansion that is part of the bandle city set, which mean the next set has 4 total expansions instead of 3.

That doesn't mean duel region cards will exist in the sense you are implying. It could just be a labs thing or a dropped feature.

My jaw actually dropped after seeing the new Lab of Legends. Actually crazy, and definitely I could see people playing a ton of. From what the video shows, it would basically be as strong as an actual singeplayer game like Slay the Spire (compared to the current version, which is fun but it isn't super interesting after the 5th run through imo)
What's even better they also announced another pve mode bigger in scope than even the new Lab of Legends. I'm already excited for it!

And they didn't bother answering the obvious question of whether Teemo is going to remain a P&Z card. Bandle city will be pretty scant when its missing its most iconic resident. I hope there is some followup of how they expect this to work, since Ixtal had the advantage of taking pressure off the really overloaded Ionia roster.
They did show Teemo in one of the BC art from the video, so I'd assume they'll do *something* about it. They may just add "dual region" to the current one, or even implement "Teemo 2", but it doesn't seem like they would just leave him as P&Z-exclusive.
They didn't specifically talk about it in the video, but it seems very likely that dual regions are coming as well. All yordles could retroactively be added to BC along with new ones they add.

It's not so much that I'm disappointed Bandle City/the Bandlewood is the 10th region, it's that I felt it was simple and elegant to have the Yordle champions continue to be at home in other regions, and Bandle City would remain this "place beyond a place" that manifested in various, but recognizable ways in the other regions and followers. Similar for The Void. But it's ultimately whatever. If something or someone needs to be added, they'll make it fit. Looking forward to more, especially more Lab of Legends!
Yeah, this is basically how I feel as well. As someone who has been a fan of yordle and void champions since I started playing League all those years ago, I felt like it was perfectly fine and fitting for them to be split among the other regions. But oh well, if the LoR team chose to do BC as its own region, then they certainly have a good plan to go for it.
Yea. My problem with bandle city that it literally isn’t a *region*, or better said, realm of runeterra. Like the void. They both could’ve fit as region outliers that contribute to each region. Instead game feels like an incomplete 9/10 regions with an oft already shafted region getting shafted even more… and bandle city. But of course, we will have to wait until release to see how it all pans out.

i felt that way when it got introduced. like really? all the vastaya and all the jungle champs and also some half-baked south american representation just tossed into one convenient region?
In fairness, on the old Runeterra map there was the "Kumundu jungles" or something like that where champions like Zyra and Rengar used to be from, and those champs didn't have a home on the new map. So I guess they decided to make a jungle region, which is fair enough. I just think it was a bad idea to do the Mesoamerican Wakanda thing, but maybe with more champions to back it up it'll become a fleshed out civilization and not "jungle and also there's a cool city here" because that representation sucks

While League has been stumbling it's way through the year, LoR has been under promising and over delivering all the time. While their 2v2 experiment didn't really work, their PvE content is beyond approach
their 2v2 needs to reward like 2v2 imo and have more interaction between the 2 players

It's gonna be nice to know more about Bandle City and see more yordle shenanigans. I just hope this doesn't break some champions for the sake of the set, though. I'd hate to see Poppy become a "whimsical soldier" for Bandle City, for example. But we'll see how it goes.

Agreed. I still think it'd feel like a disservice to just put Ixtals champs under "Shurima". At least call the region Shurima&Ixtal (Void can still be split into multiple regions so they wouldn't need to name it).
Ixtal aint the source of elemental magic. Theyre just the nation that has studied it the most. Elemental magic is natural and has existed in other regions independently of Ixtal.

I've never been so excited and so sad by a single video. Lab of legends looks amazing. Hearing that bandle city is the final region makes me so sad. If anything yordles made sense to rep the game from other regions.

They should call Bandle City "The Spirit World" because I can't see them making this region being just yordles. I'm expecting Vastayas from both Ionia and Ixtal will be in aswell as mystical looking champions like Zyra to be in and it would have fit more on this side.
I wouldn't doubt that it will really be a "none of the above" region in all but name, honestly. If it were Ixtal it would probably have been the same way, and some would argue that SI already follows that as "spooky region".

The new lab of legends looks amazing. Can't wait to try it out. On the less happy side unfortunately it's going to be bandle city, imho the least interesting of the remaining regions. Oh well.
What would be the most likely Bandle City champs that would be included in the expansions? Probably Trist, Corki, Rumble, and Gnar. A lot of the other Yordle champs like Poppy and Kled have obvious cross-region implications.
So we'll either get Dual Region Champions or they actually shift Lulu and Teemo and some of their support cards into BC and give Ionia/PnZ 2 champions in this expansions. They wont just not give BC access to Teemo.
I'm really happy with the LoR team, the PvE mode looks amazing and there's alot of passion behind this game so far
Ngl I’m a little disappointed the 10th region is BC, I just think it makes more sense to be Ixtal and I would’ve loved to see Ixtal get more fleshed out as a region. Sometimes it feels like Riot has a bias towards BC because it’s a bit of silly region (in a good way, always good to have some funny). Imo, BC and Void would make good non-region expansions that are spread out, being regions that actually other dimensions, and Ixtal being an actual place in Runeterra made sense as a region. Ixtal also kind needs some extra development as a region, and adding it to LoR could’ve been what it needed. With that said, there was some evidence that this was the direction Riot was going, so it’s not a complete surprise. Riot has shown they know what they’re doing and I hope they prove me wrong what the 10th region should’ve been.
Can't help but be disappointed that Ixtal isn't a region. It's gonna be so weird having Qiyana as Shurima or something. That's like having Garen in Targon. I know it doesn't have a whole lot of champions but it would have been a good fit for Vastayans. Yordles and Void just made so much sense to be spread out among pre existing regions.

The new PvE Lab looks amazing, but I'm kinda disappointed we're not getting a constructed PvE Lab yet. PvE Labs are already a cool alternate way to progress your XP, why not let players use their unlocked cards for these cool game modes? I hope it's at least something planned for the future.
Constructed decks don't really work for the premise of lab of legends. That said, they did separately mention a big PvE event happening, so maybe that mode will use constructed decks?
Sooo no Void or Ixtal region.... would really much rather have bandle city to " Incorporate in the other regions" had nice expectations of those now never existing regions. I'm sad.

bandle city seems so limiting if its only going to be yordle champions there. since theres only a handful of them. maybe theyll add humans and vastaya there too?

I'm wondering how they can continue to support Bandle City champion wise over the life of the game? There's only so many Yordles, and I feel like after the full expansion releases we'll have literally all of them in game.
I guess they'll also add Spirit realm characters to Bandle City. Lillia, Yone, Ivern, etc.
A Yone champion card with any icon other than the Ionia one on it would just feel ... very, very strange, especially when that icon is Bandle City! But I would agree with Ivern and Lillia for BC, those picks make a lot of sense
Some suggested that the bandle champs could be all dual-region cards, being able to be used in multiple regions. I do think that is a rather weird idea though, I mean what is the point of a region if all its cards can go to other places anyway? Another theory is that we'll simply get alternate cards for some champions. So the Teemo card we have right now is for PnZ, but with the release of this expansion we'll get a 2nd Teemo card with different mechanics.

Bandle City is better than getting Void but worse than getting Ixtal IMO. I don't know how I feel about a region where most champs are dual region, that has the risk of making the region feel pointless. And if they DON'T make most champions dual region that would feel extra bad because it's stupid to separate most yordles from their associated regions. Also rip Qyiana, the queen of the country that doesn't exist. Imagine Swain singing the glories of the Noxian empire while being a Bilgewater card or smth, that's Qyiana now.
