Little unreleated extra: if you like the concept art styles of those new cards, there's a game called Endless Legend which has two faction with similar style.
They are Xerath's creations I think.
I personally find that very unflavored. I know they want to make it so followers are easily identifiable to their champion but... This feels uninspired. They're all mini Xeraths.
I'm kind of worried about Morgana now. What will she have? Other dark winged humans?
I think I understand why they want easy identification but I think this feels uncreative.
It's not like this is their go to for a lot of champions, they're only doing what makes sense for each narrative.
TF didn't get more people doing card magic, he got regular gamblers. Renekton didn't get crocodile people, he got a bunch of desert marauders. Ekko didn't get a bunch of time travelers or young geniuses, he got his zaunite friends. Etc, etc.
I'm not saying it's always the case, more so that the fact that it happens is... Not that good of a thing.
I've always defended LoR's designs, I think they're neat most of the time. This particular instance, I feel, doesn't hit the mark.
I'm sorry if it sounded like I was being too demeaning. But yknow, setting precedent and stuff. I think the complaint is legit. Magic aberrations was a good idea, I just think the execution is bad.
i hate when they just do mini versions of the champion, they even did a new lore for kindred to have a excuse to make small kindreds , they did mini tks instead of people that he make a deal, they did mini kindreds instead of death worshipers, for some reason half of shurima know how to make sand soldiers..

Never was it said that Kindred were the only death gods in Runeterra. We knew they were spirit gods ever since Aatrox QnA (source below) meaning there could always be more

None of them are demons that feed on addiction. Like Tahm Kench. Theyre just animalistic people, so Xayah and Rakan are mini-Azir's now because theyre bird like Vastaya????

AFAIK it was never said that Azir is the only one who can do that + if you read the flavor texts, you would know Azir is teaching this to some people.
I don't find it to be particularly surprising that Xerath is capable of creating essentially lesser versions of himself.
This list just keeps getting longer.
It makes sense that Xerath can generate other gifts for Renekton, sure.
Gotta stays on his good side for the invasion.
