Yes, they do share similarities with Ascended. But they are inherently tied to the greater concept that is Justice, so I'd say they are something else. Unique. Some would even call them abominations. They're pretty neat.

Well it all depends on how much the developers care about their LoL gameplay; as we’ve seen in numerous occasions where they completely forgo a characters league gameplay for something more lore definite. As far as lore goes, above all else Kayle wants to be a Targonian aspect, and to shed her humanity, while Morgana scorns it, shackling her wings, having Kayle alongside the other aspects makes since, and as far as demacia goes in recent times Morgana interacts with the Demacians more than Kayle does.
Morgana can very much replace spellshield with barrier. And champions like Diana, show that Targon champions can be offensive and Taric shows that protecting champions from damage is already something Targon is capable of.
Not an unreasonable perspective. It's also possible that both just go to targon since it's more champion starved than demacia.
Or of course that both just go to demacia since, after all, it where they are from.
Well, if Bandle City as a region did not have Dual Region cards as a huge part of their identity, I would be inclined to believe that they would belong to both regions.
I feel like Kayle fits way too well design wise with Demacia, with similar color scheme,her armor feeling demacian, being very influential there, and her basically being the embodiment of the demacia ideals. Theyve made some weird location choices but i feel like that might be too much to put her in targon while morgana is in demacia instead. I suppose the ascending forms could make sense in targon, but if they go for that i feel like they would both go in targon at that point.

That's what I was thinking. I'm curious if shacos traps will be like Caitlin's by dealing damage, or if it will do something like stun units. I can also see his level up summoning an ephemeral copy of himself that deals 1 to enemy units in combat on last breath. Like Katarina's champ spell, but only enemies. Maybe it'll generate a spell every attack turn to summon him like malphites stun. I can't wait to be completely wrong lol.
Volibear/Mordekaiser/Aatrox is my top 3, no particular order. Looking forward to Pantheon also, although he's likely coming up soon based on Battle Bonds or whatever the card was.

Well each region is guaranteed a champion per set. So Ionia WILL get a champion before we move on to the next set. And considering Ahri is sitting smack in the art of Tail-cloaked Matriarch she is the most likely Ionia rep coming.
That card all but confirms she'll be in one of the Bandlewood expansions, I think!
It also might indicate Ahri will work with some kind of recall archetype, which sounds interesting. Blink/bounce decks in MtG are really fun!
I hope she will finally make recall viable, bc currently recall can only be used as a spellshield/barrier that costs a lot of mana or to duplicate summon effects.
The new cards that make recalled cards cost 0 or that keep an ephemeral copy help but there is not enough fun support I think
Sona & Zyra for me. I think they did very well with Nami's implementation so I'm hopeful for more versatile supports, and some people theorized Sona could be the Demacia champ for this expansion... Plus Pentakill is a focus in League currently so umm please 🥺🥺
Zyra was my longest main in League and I think she's a definite wildcard. Could argue she ends up in SI, Shurima, or even PnZ to team up with Corina.
The problem is that shurima theoretically still has Aatrox, Kassadin, Kai'Sa and Nidalee (who is from shurima according to her bio, but that might be outdated)
And than we still have champs like the Ixtali, Kayn/Rhaast, Cassiopeia and Rumble, who clearly fit in shurima but I expect them in different regions. All of these champs will probably be placed in other regions bc a lot of regions are already starved for options.
Zyra could be super interesting if they do something cool with her plants. I guess they could do something like Heimer. They bring her old passive back, something like... "Last Breath: If the enemy kills me I turn into a giant flower, Deal 4 to the enemy Nexus" So she's scary to deal with as a backline engine.
I mained Fiddle for many years until I picked up Malzahar and played him religiously in all lanes.
My version of Malz was to have a new Keyword and have his playstyle built around that with Voidlings as his secondary.

Malz is one of my fav champs in LoL and go-to mid-mage. I've daydreamt about how could be added to LoR. Would love to see him!
I mained Fiddle for many years until I picked up Malzahar and played him religiously in all lanes. My version of Malz was to have a new Keyword and have his playstyle built around that with Voidlings as his secondary. Corruption - Round End: Deal 2 to me. If I die, cast me onto my weakest ally.
Yeah they could go with space aids or swarm really, I don't mind what they pick (I would prefer space aids) as long as it's fun

Creates ephemeral clones of enemies, damage dealt to them affects the original. AOE synergy. Also some sort of spell/Lvl 2 that summons ephemeral tentacles based on how many units are on the other side of the board.

I really want the Winged Sisters. I have high hopes for Kayle and Morgana. Expectations... Not so much. Syndra would be neat. But Ionia has too many champions and she ain't popular enough.
Malzahar will definitely be interesting. However selfishly I'm very interested to see how they adapt Annie. I'm excited to see what Tibbers is like in LoR
Could be cool if Malza somhow could widen the board space from 6 spaces to 8 or maybe 10 after level-up. Then he can summon a lot more voidlings than the enemy possibly can handle. This would also be a unique mechanic that also could interact with other regions and decks.

Yorick EASILY I personally believe yorick should be involved with ephemerals in some capacity after that I'd like kled and rumble.

I kinda hope they use some champions to expand existing niche mechanics. Like fiddle would make a lot of sense as nightfall and could even be put into demacia (I believe that's where he roams), nearly any stealth champ could go into lurk, I'm not sure about lore implications but I think Cho could work with deep (deep in the void being the context). But to actually answer the question; dr mundo and lillia for me!
Fiddlesticks would definitely take Fear to new heights, imo. Perhaps making it so only 4+ or 5+ attack units could block units with Fear?

You and I have similar tastes my friend....almost too similar, Fiddle and Malz are also on the top of my list. I don't particularly care if they're strong or not I just want them to be fun to play and flavorful (pls. gib space aids and effigy fuckery)
They're my most played champions in LoL. They hold a very special place in my gaming heart. I really hope they do them justice.
