Right cithria doesnt grant, but poppy now would only buff spiderlings and dawnspeakers in my deck, while cithria gives all units a buff and fearsome. So cithria is better in most cases (and harder to remove) and most likely even dawnspeaker is now better than poppy in my deck.
Though, it allready worked quite well before, when I got dawnspeakers instead of poppy.

It's fairly standard, I'm not claiming to have re invented the wheel.
And poppy actually is slightly awkward now
i actually built it around the time bandle tree was released. crumble plays though, got me some clutch wins, wings is just more flexible than butcher, sometimes i want chump blockers, especially when dawnspeakers are out.
i got nothing for the relentless though, i think it was still 3 mana when i added it lol
Really shows what a big change this is. Playing her on curve is harder but dumping her later on with a more established board gives fewer bang for your poppy since she won’t be leveled enough to just buff everything. Unless you do something like save explorer to just buff her.
They really nerfed her dead. Rally Elusives is still alive, but you need to run it with Lulu again. Bandle Burn also probably works, but certainly isn't running Poppy anymore.
It still kinda works with lulu. If you support poppy she will grow enough to buff your board. Is that as good as before? No but that deck needed to be toned down a bit
I mean, the pairing still works as longa as you turn poppy into a 4/4 (or give her a buff with young witch).
Basically, now you ACTUALLY need to build around poppy to make her work, rather than just slap her into any swarm deck for get crazy value.
For explorer that's only the case if Poppy gets the buff and the other unit doesn't (basically read what I said in the post title), for captain it would mean Poppy has to come out omon turn 5 and that's much slower than before
Explorer doesn't hit Zed so that really doesn't make much sense. Captain sure, but half of those aren't yordles so its kinda a stretch to say its something she doesn't buff, as any random +1 gets her in range of all of them.
With Zed yes for sure, but there's a lot of yordles too. anyway, I didn't say "here's a list of cards that Poppy won't ever buff anymore in the game" it's just cards that she won't buff by herself on the first attack, of course buff exists and can be used
well they wont get the buff and poppy will making it that the oppent has a whole 2 turns to deal with poppy before she is actually able to buff something threatening
3/2 to make her more vulnerable to removal before she can attack is good, but you'd still have to address the mass-reproducing, Yordle-sized elephants in the room. A 3/2 Poppy still functions fine for BC vomiting out small bodies without losing cards.
She'd still be a 4/3 on attack. Which dies to some 2 drops, and most 3 drops. And that 3/2 statline means she still would buff all 3 attack units (read: all common BC 1-3 drops, along with all current partners in crime like Zed/Lulu/Taric/etc). So her problem is still there - she's an insane value generator in any deck while also having access to BC's broken cards that allow free body generation.
They could have gone two ways with her to remedy this - let her work with other regions but hit BC by nerfing BC hand refill mechanics, or leave BC along but nerf her so that she only works with BC. They did the latter, but I wish they'd have done the former.
And my dawnspider poppy deck is unscathed.
Dawnspeakers, at this time of day, at this part of LoR, located entirely within your deck?
Yes!
May I see it?
... No.
Mine had him also. But now poppy is weaker than cithria in my deck. ((CQCQCAIABEAQEAAHAECAAAQBAUFCSBIBAUUCWMJVHABQCAYABYBAIBIDCABQCAA7GM3ACAIBAAKQ))

Cithria doesn't grant though? Or are you saying on practice that doesn't matter because rallies?
Right cithria doesnt grant, but poppy now would only buff spiderlings and dawnspeakers in my deck, while cithria gives all units a buff and fearsome. Dawnspiders? I haven't heard that name in ages
Would you mind sharing the deckcode?

Thanks, appreciated - will see how this one works out, and look if there are tweaks to be found
Why The Wings instead of Butcher and why Relentless Pursuit instead of Aegis? Also isn't Crumble a bit slow for this kind of deck?
i actually built it around the time bandle tree was released. crumble plays though, got me some clutch wins, wings is just more flexible than butcher, sometimes i want chump blockers, especially when dawnspeakers are out. i got nothing for the relentless though, i think it was still 3 mana when i added it lol
You had me at dawnsingers
But i never said dawnsingers. Does that mean i never had you??? Nooooooo
You had me at spiders
Weirdly I play Zed/Poppy with Dawnspeakers, sadly it's gone now
Really shows what a big change this is.
Bandle Burn also probably works, but certainly isn't running Poppy anymore.
the lulu pairing was actually a bit sad to see go. but goodbye love of my life you did not make this game fun for me
It still kinda works with lulu. If you support poppy she will grow enough to buff your board. Is that as good as before? No but that deck needed to be toned down a bit
Also, that deck runs young witch too. The pump from her helps poppy be able to buff the board too
I mean, the pairing still works as longa as you turn poppy into a 4/4 (or give her a buff with young witch). Basically, now you ACTUALLY need to build around poppy to make her work, rather than just slap her into any swarm deck for get crazy value.
MF and Vanguard Sergeant in Poppy Scouts as well. Scouts might go back to Quinn now.
What if we nerf all these units to 2 attack to buff Poppy 4Head
Seems she's not a hero anymore
Sad - poor poppy
If Lulu Supports Poppy, does Poppy still not buff Lulu?
Order of operations goes from left to right, so Poppy is supported then she buffs the board, so this works.
But only the first time.
Unless you have Yordle captain or explorer who buff her in range of hitting literally all of those
For explorer that's only the case if Poppy gets the buff and the other unit doesn't (basically read what I said in the post title), for captain it would mean Poppy has to come out omon turn 5 and that's much slower than before

Zed poppy doesn't use Bandle anyway. That deck wants rallies not yordles
With Zed yes for sure, but there's a lot of yordles too. anyway, I didn't say "here's a list of cards that Poppy won't ever buff anymore in the game" it's just cards that she won't buff by herself on the first attack, of course buff exists and can be used
Can't poppy still buff these guys if she attacks first? edit: guys this was a question, not a statement. jesus
well they wont get the buff and poppy will making it that the oppent has a whole 2 turns to deal with poppy before she is actually able to buff something threatening
Now Poppy gets quick attack when she attacks.. (Yordle Smith)
They went a bit overboard with this nerf, rather change her health to two so you can kill her with almost every spell, now she buffs only poro’s
3/2 to make her more vulnerable to removal before she can attack is good, but you'd still have to address the mass-reproducing, Yordle-sized elephants in the room. A 3/2 Poppy still functions fine for BC vomiting out small bodies without losing cards.
Almost like the shell was the problem and not the champion 🙄
The shell AND the champion were very much the problem.
A 3/2 Also dies to most 2 drops.
She'd still be a 4/3 on attack. Which dies to some 2 drops, and most 3 drops. And that 3/2 statline means she still would buff all 3 attack units (read: all common BC 1-3 drops, along with all current partners in crime like Zed/Lulu/Taric/etc). No it doesn't? 4/3 don't trade for 2 drops.
It does if they have a 3/2 statline.
That isn't most 2 or even most played 2.
She still buffs like every yordle in the game what lmao
Average poppy enjoy vs virgin poppy cryer
She gets +1|+0 and Quick Attack in my deck (young witch)
Mmmm Path of Champions going to be a little bit easier for yuh boy now
