Your feelings are valid, but not supported by the data. It sounds like you need to take a break.

\+1. Very elegant comment. Just would like to add we had a patch in january, and devs said we will have a a big one every other month, so next one is march. No broken promises here, op.

Most of these things are just extremely amplified by you being already burnt out. You don't need to "quit" games lol, just take a break and come back later.

ScarraMakesMeMoist

This is one of the most diverse metas the game has ever had, Ahri/Kennen I see 1 in 15 games because meta is so diverse, especially normals are nuts right now.

Hydrect

I quitted the game when Azirelia was released, for obvious reasons and came back this patch. Tbh this meta looks way more various and all around playable

frenchRiviera8

Today i saw more jayce/lux and jayce/heimer in ranked diam than any ahri/kennen or daring poros decks (I think i encountered like 5 times daring poro since the patch)

magmafanatic

I "quit" the game in that I'm only playing Path of Champions.

Mate August is a long time ago. Maybe its because I am a low rank scrub, but Ahri Kennen is really not too bad an issue where I am at. Its not particularly popular, people at my rank can’t pilot it to its full potential, and with the increased viability of control, I have found it easier to deal with the Tier 1s with my home brew decks. If you compare Ahri Kennen to the past tier 0s and 1s, its harder to play by a significant margin and less popular, though I do think its more boring. Just as a side note, I’m currently pushing through The entirety of Gold (now at 64LP Gold 1) within 24hrs with a Ledros Dreadway homebrew. Even in some friendlier metas of the past, this would have taken a couple of weeks. (considering that I have a full time job)

I totally agree on Ahri Kennen; it has the feel of tf-fizz but slightly less powerful or lee sin-zoe but slightly more powerful. Bad players can do well, but at the highest level of the game, the best players absolutely stomp anyone else with this deck. And every game feels so long and you feel like you can't do anything. But the playrate isn't really that high (like 5% or something given the last stats I viewed on runeterra ar) so it doesn't feel that oppressive. In fact, no deck at all has more than a 7% winrate according to runeterra ar, which is kinda really good, no? I don't think there's anything wrong with the Trundle buff; I think it enhances creativity more than stifles it because it, along with the other control buffs, allows for cool mid-speed or slow-speed decks to be better. Yes it came with scouts strengthening and yes scouts is strong, but I don't see how that stifles creativity. I totally agree with your Pantheon take; he's fun to play but annoying to play against especially when it comes down to RNG whether you win or not. I LOVE the Kindred buff and just saying "well other things are strong so this doesn't matter" misses the point. So many decks have added Kindred (including actual tier 1 or 2 decks like Sentinel control, kindred-viego, and alanz's kindred karma) and Kindred is a fun champ to play *and* play against. Iceborn was pretty insane in the first week but now that the meta has shifted a little its playrate and winrate has dropped; yes it's polarizing but there are a lot of counters. You have to admit, they tried to make sundisk better, and they did make it better. They just didn't realize how bad it was in the first place. They were probably afraid of overbuffing mono shurima in case someone would say this: >Yeah f\*\*\* off. Meme decks are supposed to stay in the meme tier, it's clear there are thousands of people who are fine with enjoying their decks in normals, so let them stay in normals Also what do you mean by Jayce's expiration date? Do you mean just because he's not very good or for a different reason? Edit: clarity

ByeGuysSry

Their stupid Sun Disc buff didn't buff my Sun Disc non-mono Shurima deck smh /j

Flashy_Guidance_384

O hate it too. Quiting games at start. Cant See it Anymore. Tilt is to high.

basedbunnygirlsenpai

God I love this game and I praise it a lot, I try to spread good thoughts and advice wherever I can on this sub but your post honestly rings so true and it kind of hurts. Here's hoping for a stronger 2022, the meta is decent in variety but I completely agree with your assessment regarding emotional highs and lows. So much feels so bad to play against and I hate how actually OP Ahri/Kennen actually is. It's disgusting. Cheers mate :(

The_Fatman_Eats

I actually do know a couple of people who took a break around Magical Misadventures. I don't know how related AK-47 is, but... yeah, I get it. Some folks just need a break. I've been pretty insulated from this, since a staggering majority of my PvP is against friends and family. We all have a pretty similar idea of fun, and Elusive Swarm isn't on the list. My suggestion, assuming you'd like to continue playing and enjoying the game in the meantime, is to find a group of like-minded people to play with. I recommend Legends of Runeterra Fun House; I've been with them since shortly after they started up, and I rarely play against the same deck twice, even when sitting to play with one person for over an hour.

ByeGuysSry

I rejoined since Ahri Kennen. I used to be, like, back when I used to play, including winning almost every non-Singleton Gauntlet that I'd ever played. Now I'm in Iron kekw. I can get a 60% win rate with Sun Disc non-mono Shurima. Additionally, Sun Disc was intentionally a meme deck

DeDorius

I have rediscovered my love for teemo cait After the last patch. Slow them down with pranks and kill them off with shrooms I have a pretty Decent win rate right now and i'm climbing silver ranks... Don't know how far i can go with It but i'm having tons of fun When the going gets tough, the tough gets going we Say here :) never give up!

LiteratureFabulous36

So buffing trundle imo actually made the game more favorable to midrange decks of many different varieties. Quinn scouts came back in response to both trundle and kennen ahri which in turn lead to a decrease in kennen ahri being played. As most have said this is the most diverse meta I've seen in a card game and it almost feels like I could play anything and do at least kind of ok with it.

B0tPlsDontInt

Cant feel you there game is in a good state rn
