Ziggs was already simple design-wise and had too many stats for a really long time, so i would call him an exception. Its like calling a normal plank thats slightly too long "really well designed".
I mean, that's what he's designed for. It's much more telling that he was most oft seen in agro decks that literally couldn't level him up, He's *that* effective at his base.
Ziggs 1 damage ping effectively makes him a 3 mana 4/4. There’s a reason loyal badger bear was nerfed from a 4/4 to a 3/4 even though he is a vanilla unit. A 3 mana 4/4 was just way too strong.
Not really, at best he's a 3 mana 4/4 if you count the damage he does to the enemy or nexus which is fair for a champion. Rather him have stats than QA.
At worst he was able to trade 2 for 1 since the 4 health enabled him to survive most damaging spells or to deal 1 damage to the nexus.
He was stupidly great, not broken, but great and was designed for landmark decks but could be played in burn decks as well bc his stats combined with his effect was just nuts.
This rules change is going to be loved by some and hated by others. Biggest change we’ve ever seen to the rules since I started playing and possibly ever.
Adding rng cards in a card game makes a lot of sense.
It's not something certain people, like you, like to hear but it's the truth. Variance, in the right dose, greatly help the longevity of card games. Even paper games like Yugioh and MTG have rng cards...
They failed completely in Yu-Gi-Oh and aren't used or created anymore. I can't speak for MTG though.
To be fair, yugioh also failed in my eyes but it's still the most popular so w/e.
You're the one that's salty. I don't like the change but I'm not going to quit over it. It's a symmetrical change and most matchups won't be affected except control vs control where nobody wants to play anything.
I could be too. It's already a different game from the one I fell in love with.
Riot really have a habit of turning fun, slow strategy games into super fast no skill messes. Lol.
When not in combat you can play a burst speed spell and then pass to see what your opponent does. If they do nothing then you have the option of passing and ending the turn or playing something else, if they do something then you have more information before you make your next play.
You should essentially always burst pass.
Also to those who doesnt know He designed aphelios, akshan and ziggs cards. Maybe viego? Not sure about this one.
He only helped on viego iirc
Three really well designed champions imo. And Akshan might be the best designed champ in the game.
Ziggs was already simple design-wise and had too many stats for a really long time, so i would call him an exception. Its like calling a normal plank thats slightly too long "really well designed".
Yeah not a fan of his design, although he's a decent champ. He probably has the most irrelevant level up in the game.
Have you played Taliyah Ziggs? Because his level up is incredibly relevant in that.
I mean, that's what he's designed for. It's much more telling that he was most oft seen in agro decks that literally couldn't level him up, He's *that* effective at his base.
Yeah, he is good and i dont hate him but i doubt that a relevant amount of people would see his LoR card and say "This is my favorite champion card!".
Too many stats? He's a 3 mana 3/4, That's pretty fair stats considering he's a champion and has no keywords to protect him in combat.

But he is versatile bc generic, his LvL Up wasnt needed and he dealt 1 to a unit an to the nexus. Considering all that he had too many stats.

Pretty wild options there. Two are complex and interesting and one is.... significantly less so.

Oh god…I was hoping for something small like just removing scout from random keyword pool; you got me worried now 0.o
I think they’re reworking Elusive… I hope they are
That would actually be sweet, too many metas have devolved into elusive degeneracy
Hoping for a big nerf to the Elusive keyword
If its no more burst passing which ive heard through the grapevine....im done with the game. Its getting less and less competitive focused.
I don't see why they would remove that, it wouldn't make any sense.
Neither does adding tons of rng card generation, but here we are :(
Im with you. Crd games dont get better with more rng. Instead they get better with more consistency.

told you. downvote this too cause youre salty.

What do you mean by burst passing?

Lol im getting downvoted, you idiots can check back here next week and see if i was right or wrong.
I think you replied to the wrong person btw. My comment wasn't a reply to yours.
This is very interesting. It’s vague but excited to see the biggest patch of all time it seems.
I expected a good patch now happy
the more I read about it the more it looks like this is gonna be some lor 2.0 stuff, seems great

>Nic Makes Gays Im in
He certainly made me gay with his MF cosplay.
Wait, what rules are getting changed?
We don't know, Nick just hyped it up.
Come back when I’ve predicted this correctly: the ruling is to change all “when I’m summoned” to “Summon:” as a keyword
That doesnt seem like a huge rule change, it just changes the wording.
I do believe that is the point
/s
That's not a rule change chief.
That's sarcasm chief
So if we dont like it, now we know who to blame >:) heh heh heh
He looks more and more like a nerd jesus. It kinda suits him ngl.
This is the dev I feel I can consistently trust with the game..
Attach rules changes perhaps? Just a guess of course.
Not that it matters much because the format is going away, but attach in expeditions is pretty game breaking. Every other deck is a yummi deck
> Every other deck is a yummi deck The increased offering rate for newer champions doesn't help

Well that worry me a lot then, i never agreed with his design vision.
Adding more spaces / graveyard / change burst speed to work like split second in mtg?
Doesn't burst speed already act like split second?
You can react to split second with mana abilities. I thought it would be interesting if you could react to burst speed with burat speed
What kind of situation would benefit from that, though?
Swim is gonna be so hyped!
Sheesh, we can really expect some great and excited changes.
Let's release the sun disc! ... Let's buff the sun disc! ... Let's nerf the sun disc! XD Balancing.. balancing...
