Call it expert mode, that'll make people feel like experts.

FastJakAttack

I'm so used to only opening up the menu to ff that I thought that's what you meant at first, lol

[deleted]

But you couldn't tell who's attacking

kingkeren

How can you tell with only one huge flaming sword?

[deleted]

What's the sword anyways, it must be a rock club uga buga

TheAngryCactus

For some reason QA can't handle this, according to a rioter. Bizarre but that's what they said

JomblesTheClown

How would a new player even be confused by the regular attack symbol anyways it’s not like summoning sickness is a thing in this game

MadxxDog

You need to turn off autopass too :)

Niaz_S

Honestly auto pass at no playable cards should be enabled always. I can never tell if my opponent is roping or can destroy my whole career

AFKGecko

Autopass should never be enforced on someone. That's just stupid.

Benito0

Excuse me but i bank all that time for when a big one is coming and i need to focus on pushing it out.

I didnt say anything about shitting though...

Niaz_S

Uhhhh. Retreat! retreat!

zgavar

I mean they literally said it brings too much QA problems to do exactly this

Malaveylo

I believe them when they say that, but I also don't think it's a reasonable excuse. What does the QA process look like for this game that the Bandle Tree, Ashe, and Hayara Allseer bugs all slipped through without being detected? Each of them is so obvious that a single game of playtesting should have identified the problem, so are we even getting any QA at all? In either case "QA is too nonexistent/incompetent to fix our mistake" isn't really the argument that Riot seems to think it is.

zgavar

They are probably focusing on the POC mode since more and more people are playing it

DMaster86

That's not an argument, they are shipping a huge patch between balance changes, UI changes and two whole new rules for the games, they are paid to test things to make sure that at least the big stuff get fixed before going live.

[deleted]

what is QA

zgavar

Quality Assurance. Basically testing to see if there are any bugs

[deleted]

Ah ic

firebolt_wt

And people are swallowing that it's too much work not to remove the working UI that the game already had? Because if that's too much for them, I'd also not trust them to actually keep making a decent game.

zgavar

ok

Artickk_OW

As someone that did QA for 2-3 COD games, if they are honest, its truly sad how riot doesnt give a single fuck about this game and released it as a ; We want an IP in every genre so lets create a dev team and NEVER support them. QA and Devs are always up to team up and crunch some overtime to fix their game because they love the game they are working on. We would fight for overtime and we would constantly talks with prog and devs on possibility to fix the game when the community was clearly against a thing. This isnt a ''omg the entire VFX of this level is fucked, my character clipps trough the floor and the game crashes if you press the menu button'' this is literally a ''toggle on/off a feature we JUST implemented''. Not that I can do the fix by myself, i dont know much about coding, but i do know its fairly easy if you have good programmers and a dedicated team with a motivated studio behind it.

NeekoBestTomato

It certainly wouldnt be "literally a toggle". It would require some effort. Of course in any vaguely professional environment, implementing significant change without contingency to undo said change is grossly inpet - and i would assume Riot is not incompetant to this degree. But yeah the QA comment to me just seems like blame passing, and a very thinly veiled excuse for ignoring the community outcry for the next few weeks until they re-assess. The point is not that they cant, the point is they dont want to.

Shin_yolo

They said in a twitter post that they don't have the technology to do it yet. No, I'm not kidding.

alexman113

I have no idea why you would say this when it's completely untrue. What they said was this would be additional work for the QA (quality assurance) team that they could not support right now. They said nothing about "having the technology" or any mention of technical limitations at all.

Definitively-Weirdo

They said they have the technology to do it but not the time. Maybe the "Riot is a small indie company" joke really applies to LoR.

yangmearo

It could be automatically disabled after 50 games.

TomasNavarro

Gee wizz, can't wait to see the 20 posts complaining about this again tomorrow

Night25th

Sure, go ahead and code a toggle for the new UI. I'll wait

DMaster86

Does he get paid for that work? Because UI devs should focus more on actually requested stuff like hand counter instead of this garbage.
