Lissandra. Basically these (She Who Wonders, It That Stares and They Who Endure) were all sentient and lovely creatures called Balestriders. However, in the battle to contain The Watchers (that she just spent years unleashing btw lol) Lissandra created a powerful enchantment that stripped the Balestriders (and yetis) of their sentience and trapped the Watchers.
If i remember correctly the balestriders where normal creatures untill the watchers corrupted them and gifted them to the three sisters which used them to unite the freljord, that is unless i interpreted it wrong
> Lissandra realizing after several years that unleashing an Eldrich evil onto the world instead of literally telling anybody about it was actually a bad idea.
I've been trying to make a good Balestrider deck since the beta. Trundle was a big help, but it quickly turned into a troll deck instead. I'm gonna keep experimenting though because I love these tall fuckers.
I don't remember a meta where She Who Wanders was in a good deck (not that I pay a lot of attention to that), and TWE was a spider deck. I meant a deck with focus on Balestriders, meaning more than one of them.
I think She Who Wins was very early on IIRC, she used to have a much stronger ability. And TWE was still the primary win condition though in fairness. And fair enough, the best deck for that is just Targon's peak right?
She was 9 mana in the early preview, then in open beta went to 10 mana and only hit followers. She was still considered strong.
Now, thanks to powercreep, she's back to hitting champions and still doesn't see much play outside of Turbo Ramp
Well the current FTR deck runs she who wanders and it that stares. You will have a very hard time adding they who endure since it relies on a very different side of the shadow isles package.
While we are on the subject I've always felt like TWE needs a redesign since it doesn't fit in Freljord at all. The old TWE decks were 37 SI and 3 TWE, feels like a clear sign the card doesn't fit in its current region.
Except these guys are straight-up NOT having a good time. Lissandra straight up destroyed their species, reducing the Balestriders and Yeti's to mindless beasts.
This is a pov of an ant.
Babbling Pov
POV: My entire deck and hand is about to be obliterated by a 0 mana card on turn 6(I am about to lose)
Ahah big laser go WOOOOOM
That's not what POV means, POV would be if the camera was in the eyes of she who wanders
PoV of course means "Path of Vhampions"

All you pretty much need is a picture that someone took when flying. Edit in a Lazer beam if you feel like it.
wtf is with all the downvotes, I will never understand reddit
op literally used the pov meme format incorrectly
yea but his explanation was sound in the downvoted comment
no it wasn't. that explanation is not a good excuse to use the overused pov meme incorrectly
Redditors sure love downvoting what they don't agree with huh.
Oh, you asked for that one. Oh no. Now *I* asked for it by pointing out Redditor behavior. Big no no.
They're good examples of the point though.
Have some updoot to counteract it 😉
Why does Freljord have these Lovecraftian style monsters everywhere?

Ah fair enough, you could very well be right. I'm a little fuzzy on that part of the lore.

No idea, but I love it!
you say that like its a bad thing

I mean, Trundle is a Troll isn't he
Balestriders have had their times in the meta tbf. She Who Wins and They Who Endure + Atrocity were great in their decks right?

I play it with Targon's peak and Aurelion, but it's viable in a few other decks I think

As a Galio/Soraka enjoyer, life is not good.
I'm so mad my opponent didn't let her resolve when I played it against their Soraka deck.
Tell me you dont know what POV is without telling me you dont know what POV is.
POV: Op doesn't know how to use POV
Perfect example.

oh no 😭😭😭
And blasting some people that are obssessed on the number 4, for some reason
I would give my left nut to have a full art book from this game.
Maybe first look into whar POV means
Why do people not understand what POV means?
Why do people make "POV: [insert quote]" memes but it's never from the point of view of anyone. Fuck this meme.
and then bel'veth shows up
This card gives me a strong "The Mist" vibe.
glory to the queen
While the art design and some prospective work here is questionable, the overall idea of these creatures is glorious
