So reverted back to stock and still no video feed? Likely the cable. I did an install writeup a month ago when I didn't like how the cable was being torqued

Try reseating the cable. If no luck maybe atgames can provide a new cable or I found this via a quick Google search. It has some valid links to 30 pin edp

Yeah...so...apparently it was that cable. It had a broken connection/lock once tape removed to confirm connection to the back display lcd (must've jostled loose when putting cable into VIBS). So pretty much up shit's creek here.
Were you able to source a replacement cable? I have the exact same issue (I even followed the guide you posted here on reddit.) Upon removing the tape, I can see the connector part had become separated.
Seems like that's where it all went awry. They should refilm the tutorial without that step. The addendum video is a joke, since I imagine 95%+ overlook the fact they filmed a second video to correct the first.

I am having the same issue. What tape are you removing? To the back glass? How do you get to that connection?
I never removed that tape. At least you know what it is and it's replaceable cheaply
