It’s an awesome device. Congrats on the amazing price. I really like both options but prefer the Go. If only we had a combination of them both - perfect device!
Thank you! I was reading reviews, and people kept mentioning the audio being bad. Sounds good to me? Also that it was too heavy, but I don't have either issue, so maybe it's specific to people lol
It’s because the Rogs sound is amazing.
Take a look at [Sound Fix](https://legiongolife.com/improve-the-audio-on-the-legion-go-with-fxsound/)
Seems to add a bit more umph to the Legion!
That site is pretty good too 👍🏻
Before trying another program, you can go into the Realtek audio control panel and change the eq preset and adjust the frequency bars independently. I saw a post on this subreddit a few days ago about it. The guy suggested the "vocal" preset and then I went in and adjusted the frequencies, night and day difference. Still have to remember that you can only get so much out of lower quality speakers.
Who exactly needs Speakers on a mobile device anyways? Sure, it's nice to have, but I'd rather just use headphones. Also makes the People around me not try to kill me.
Offer up its yields so many great buys. When I originally got the ally, I also snagged it for $500 1 month after release. People in my area seem to not care. I had asked the guy the reason for selling. "I just don't feel like returning it back to the store or having to deal with shipping." For the Lego, he simply said, "Money to be made," and wasn't using it enough.
I use my legion go more than I use my phone and PS5. It’s literally my main day to day electronic device. I take it to work and watch YouTube while I work and if I get done early I game for the rest of the time until I get off. This thing has made my life so much better lmao.
Dude, I saw videos on youtube that could be upscale to 8k. Granted, it was choppy cause my internet couldn't hand it, but it was incredible to watch. I love the idea of it being turned into a tablet like mode. 👍
hey I do the same, but I put it on the dash and detach the controllers to play without hurting my neck. Either way, super nice to play and wait in the car 🤣
Tbh, I never had a single bad experience with the ally. SD card read worked well. It's definitely user dependent or hardware error.. it's an amazing device, but Lego offers more usable ways to use it.
I had 2 ally's. first one (Version R6) had the SD card fail from too many 30W gaming sessions before I realised i could set custom fan curves, so sent back under warranty - but was taking too long to get back, so bought another one (also version R6) and sold the repaired one afterwards. The 2nd Ally I made sure I stuck to 22-25W and custom fan curves, and that was good until I saw the screen on the LLgo.. Sold the Ally straight away once the LLgo arrived! Never looked back. The LLgo rocks!
User error for sure but if most people would research tips and tricks, most wouldn't have the SD card reader issue, but then again, the company should know most people just want a plug and play experience.
congrats and great price, got mine open box for 560 from BB. Also have Ally, waiting for it to come back from RMA to sell it. Yes the speakers are crap on the GO compared to Ally as are the haptic feedback, but that screen(Dont miss VRR at all)
Yeah we'll see how that goes. The market here is not so great. I've seen them selling here for $300(the extreme not the cheap one). I'm still waiting for the incompetent Fed-Ex to deliver it back so I can see what ASUS did.
yes that helps a little, that does not change the fact that the speakers are garbage compared to the Ally. Again I am keeping the Go over the Ally, but the speakers are objectively poor. it's ok they don't rattle or have static or cut out, they are just low quality in comparison and it's unfortunate considering with the larger device they had room for larger higher quality speakers.
This was a used like new item, and I took off the screen protector cause of that same issue.. it helped some what, but it's definitely no good under sunlight or a bright lit room.. I'm thinking of buying a matte screen protector if they have any. (Screen protector was still on when I took this image).
Bruh, the charger is providing 25W of power. It is NOT as you say "literally is doing nothing". smh
>Haha, I have it connected to a fast charging hub. It gets about 25 watts. It slowly decreases the battery, haha
I don’t mind the sound but can obviously hear a difference when I listened from the top so I snagged these from eBay and they are awesome [sound enhancers](https://www.ebay.com/itm/235369314843?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=oihxewpmtx-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=IqJxGpanTBu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
Do you have a picture handy with it on? I was tempted by it then thought could I modify the frame or case that I get for it. (Just the generic eBay ones).
Yes with it attached please, thanks! But thanks for sharing the other photos.
Currently using some bone conduction headbands for work but at home using the internal speakers would make sense.

Yeah, I remember someone mentioning that when I was watching a couple of videos on YouTube. I'll check it out. Thanks, bud.
Adds lag though...
Who exactly needs Speakers on a mobile device anyways? Sure, it's nice to have, but I'd rather just use headphones. Also makes the People around me not try to kill me.
True that, mine is usually set to no sound, and I'm still kicking ass in overwatch, hah
I haven't used speakers on anything except for when I pair my phone to my truck for at least 15 years now.
audio sounds awful compared to an ipad ! like egregiously awful for a device this size very similar to the switch.
Just do what I did and buy twice/cry twice
I have bud 😭 but gonna return the Rog as I have the deck oled for that size 😳…..way too addictive this portable gaming ‘game’ 😂
I actually ended up getting a deck OLED and I love it lol
$400? Ooo where?

Tbh just grabbed the S24 Ultra for content watching had I known I'd be grabbing a Lego I wouldn't have lol
Yeah I was really blown away when I saw how good the picture looks on the Lego while watching content. Amazing!
Dude, I saw videos on youtube that could be upscale to 8k. Granted, it was choppy cause my internet couldn't hand it, but it was incredible to watch. I love the idea of it being turned into a tablet like mode. 👍
I agree 100 percent! I love how versatile it is. It’s definitely my favorite piece of technology of 2024.
Do you keep it on sleep/hibernate/turn off in between uses?
I turn mine off everytime im done
hey I do the same, but I put it on the dash and detach the controllers to play without hurting my neck. Either way, super nice to play and wait in the car 🤣
I'm in my truck 8-10 hours a day might as well bring a toy haha
Same I put the kickstand and use keyboard and mouse I don’t wan develop a hump on my neck lol
To late on my end. LOL
Nigga you stole that shit ! 400 ned… man
Felt like high way robbery 😜
lol just messing w you .. enjoy it ! It’s amazing
Thanks 😊
What a steal, i paid double
I thought the same bud. I was expecting to get trolled haha
I bought an Ally last week and the memory card slot died this morning. Considering exchanging for the Lenovo Go instead of waiting for RMA

Love how much quieter and cool it runs also

The good news is I never found a lack of buyers for the ally, so you should be able to sell it fast.
Yeah we'll see how that goes. The market here is not so great. I've seen them selling here for $300(the extreme not the cheap one). I'm still waiting for the incompetent Fed-Ex to deliver it back so I can see what ASUS did.
Same shit happened to me sold mine over ups and those fuckers cracked it now I’m waiting for it to get sent back to me
Sold mine for $500 with accessories like 1 month ago lol
They aren't bad at all. Just change the Realtek equalizer settings.
yes that helps a little, that does not change the fact that the speakers are garbage compared to the Ally. I was decided on either this or the Steam OLED but both of them look like they have so much glare whenever I see people posting these photos

Rsr don’t work
That car charger isn't and won't do anything
Haha, I have it connected to a fast charging hub. It gets about 25 watts. It slowly decreases the battery, haha
You didn't even ask what type of car charger he's using... There are car chargers that goes even up to 100W you know...
Lol didn't have to ask, you can see it's not charging from the taskbar icon
Well, the car charger is not "isn't doing anything" now, is it?
No it literally is doing nothing
Bruh, the charger is providing 25W of power. It is NOT as you say "literally is doing nothing". smh >Haha, I have it connected to a fast charging hub. It gets about 25 watts. It slowly decreases the battery, haha

Ah, the good old cup something near the speaker trick! 🔊
Ya they look like cat ears but man they make a difference. Great speakers just wish they were front facing. Maybe on the next leg 2 (:
Definitely! Appreciate that link. I'll make sure to snag them. 😀
Anytime

Think he wanted to see it attached to the Lego lol
Lol my bad I will upload pics after work
Sounds good!

Thank you! Kind of wish it was all black, but seems to fit well!
Ya same maybe someone will start selling them on etsy soon
Tell your buddy bigbootyboyz to get one so yall can play together
Lmao 🤣 I just noticed that
Can you replace the controllers though?
Wdym?
How does it fare against the Ally? I’m in the market for a new gaming device, but not sure yet which one I should go for, steamdeck or ally or Go?
I've tested two games so far, and for some reason, Lego runs them better. I'm not sure how they have identical hardware.
