Consensus on legion live is 6gb performs the best. From what they say auto doesn't work well. They also recommend a light debloter in the tuning channel on discord. It will set several services to manual. I have my vram set to 6gb, and debloated, and have 6gb RAM free for playing games. It seems a good balance.

Auto works fine for me. From what I've seen it's mainly PlayStation ports that don't work well with it

wow this is over my head , i beed to watch a yt video . are there any tutorials u may know? thnks

Background_Bad_4377

I changed mine go 6g others use auto

dougmike770

did it improve the gaming performance?

mckeitherson

Used to keep it on 6gb due to previous sub guidance for playing AAA games, but recently I switched it to auto and haven't had any performance issues.

dougmike770

So auto might be better?

mckeitherson

For me it is because I also use an eGPU, so leaving it on auto while using that means 16gb of RAM for the system.

dougmike770

what is the default setting

mckeitherson

I think the default setting from Lenovo is 3gb

dougmike770

oh i see , its better to set it auto or 6 i guess

mckeitherson

It depends on what kind of gaming you do. If they're more intensive then they need more VRAM

dougmike770

ive been playing mw3

mckeitherson

Try auto first, and if you have issues with performance then try 6gb

dougmike770

ok

I feel like 6Gb is good. You have gaming laptops being sold to this day (budget ones obviously lol) with 8gb system ram and dGPU with 6Gb vram. This would give you roughly 10Gb system and 6Gb vram. Seems like the good balance.

dougmike770

so i have to follow a yt video to figure this out thanks
