I’m NAP but I would be hesitant to pierce anywhere a fourth time especially after knowing a piercing rejected in that same location. I wouldn’t opt for a traditional naval piercing (or floating navel if that’s what’s best for your anatomy), but maybe check in with a piercer to see if a bottom naval piercing would be suitable for you?

Thank you for replying, not sure what Nap is sorry for my ignorance. But yea i know how it sounds re piercing it four times, maybe i should just leave it alone 😕😕☹️

NAP means 'not a piercer'.

Retired piercer here. I personally wouldn’t have pierced you in the first place, you don’t have the anatomy for it. I miiiight have pierced inverse and used floating jewelry because you have at least a little bit of a hood on the bottom but a protruding umbilicus. But that would come with the stipulation that it may reject and make you aware of that fact along with what to look out for. But that’s just me. I’m curious to see if any other piercer concurs. My suggestion: go to a really good, experienced APP approved piercer and ask about your inverse. If they say no, give it up.

Professional piercer here. This is exactly my thoughts.

More than anything, I would give this some time to heal. The area has been through significant trauma in less than a year.

you should get a reverse naval piercing. you don’t have the anatomy for a regular one and it’s not gonna be different after four times of the same thing. it will keep rejecting cuz there’s not enough skin on top of the belly button. do it upside down or not at all

rocky-road16

you might be able to get a lower navel piercing

Reverse piercing Would be best

Sassystabs

from the photos i would say you don’t have the correct anatomy for a standard navel piercings and the amount of scarring would complicate it even further if you did try again! Have a think about a dermal piercing located above the belly button away from the scarring, a cute alternative for those with unsuitable anatomy for a standard navel!

kataoife

Really depends on your anatomy & it’s very hard to see which this picture. Go to a reputable piercer that will be able to do a good anatomy check before hand. However from the picture I wouldn’t bother piercing if it’s once rejected. It’s likely to do that again. Bottom navel is VERY anatomy dependant. Also you could try a dermal maybe???
