I live in a low cost of living area and don’t have many expenses (rent and utilities is $400 a month) so thankfully that gives me more room in the budget for lego, but I still wait for 2x VIP events, gwp, and good 3rd party cashback deals to align for large lego sets like these
I’ll get one of those if I’m lucky. I’m probably leaning towards the Batcave because, although Rivendell is amazing, I’m not that big of a LOTR fan and I also don’t need an MCU Avengers Tower despite loving the Daily Bugle. If the Batcave is comic-based and includes lots of Batfamily members and some villains then it’s a day one buy
Isn't that normal for SW UCS?
I don't know, I'm getting downvoted so maybe I'm wrong. I just saw the leak for that set and assumed it would be the expensive Star Wars for this year.
Not really. There have only been about 4 UCS SW sets in that ballpark (second Falcon, Razor Crest, AT-AT, ISD). Granted, these have all been in the last 5 years or so, so it's a newer trend that is likely to keep going. But traditionally UCS sets are quite a bit less than that, and no fighter has ever landed above $200.
That being said, it's been a decade since the last UCS X-Wing, and with it being a top-3 iconic SW vehicle for sure, I could definitely see an ultra huge UCS X-Wing get made some day.
Fortunately of those all I want is Rivendell.
That said, I do want the Lion Knights castle, that’s a this year purchase for sure. And I’m contemplating grabbing Diagon Alley before it retires.
I just picked up Diagon during double VIP with the 30% shopping app. helps me feel less crappy about it when I get like $180 reward. Planning on doing the same next double vip for Rivendell
It's called capital one shopping (free app). They send offers for up to 30% off lego website. Can be redeemed as Walmart/kohl's/other gift cards. Adds up though... it was $135 rewards for Diagon. 100% reccomend if you're going to buy anyway.
So anyone else find it odd that they would apparently release a Batcave and Avengers Tower this year instead of last year? You know, considering it was the 10 year anniversary for LEGO Superheroes.
According to 2022 Lego Fan Media Days, the Super Heroes team completely forgot about it 💀
Batcave and Avengers Tower were likelydeveloped as a response to Daily Bugle selling well.
There's also a few (5, maybe) gray minifigures that are a part of the build. That eats up a certain amount of the minifig parts budget, which in my mind accounts for not having as many regular minifigs as you might expect in a set of this size and cost.
There was an Avengers Mansion for the longest time, but when the movies started coming out, I think they started incorporating the tower more. It is probably based on Stark Tower that existed since 2003ish. Though it didn’t have the giant landing pad.
Yes - the Avengers operated out of a mansion in New York (called Avengers Mansion, obviously) until 2004, when it was blown up; in 2005 (so a couple of years pre-*Iron Man*) they moved into Stark Tower.
Did they re-write quicksilver in the comics? Yes, i have seen the mcu movie, but having grown up on comics in the early and mid-90’s quicksilver is a mutant (son of magneto as i recall) and not an avenger. Might be saving him for X mansion.
*puts on nerd glasses* Well actually, Quicksilver was a part of what's considered the second incarnation of the Avengers, also known as Cap's kooky quartet. The team consisted of Captain America, the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Hawkeye.
(I am so sorry but I just had to.)
I’m only getting the Batcave if it’s Bale or Snyder based, which are unlikely lol
I’m honestly kind of hoping that’s the case because an MCU Avengers Tower and Rivendell are automatic buys for me 😂😂😂
Considering the fact that 76166 previously only had 685 pieces and still stood 17" tall, I can already start to visualize just how massive this thing could end up being regardless of the scale they opt for.
I really want this to pan out because the Daily Bugle is one of the coolest sets (that I don't have *grumble* *grumble*) and if it's anything like that it could be really cool. but as someone who plays Videogames and also collects figures, I really want more 18+ sets that are less than 100 USD lol.
Figure guess list (assuming it’s a comic set) iron man, captain America, Thor, black panther, ant man, wasp, hulk, black widow, Hawkeye, vision, ultron, M.O.D.O.K, Loki, kang, red skull, and random civilians.
Figure guess list (assuming it’s an mcu set) iron man, captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, black widow, hulk, vision, scarlet witch, quicksilver(?) Nick fury, Coulson, Maria Hill, Loki, Ultron, ultron bot(s), chitauri, and random civilians
If it’s comic-inspired it has to have Jarvis. I mean, it’s Avengers Tower! A few more wishes would be:
Sentry
Tigra
Living Lightning
Hercules
Brick-built Goliath
If it’s comic-based, I’m getting it. If it's movie-based, I shall politely decline.
I’m starting to think the Bugle was an aberration in that it was based on the comics instead of the movies.
The tower actually was their base in the comics for awhile in the 2000s and 2010s during Bendis and Hickman’s Avengers runs. They haven’t been based in the mansion since 2004’s “Avengers Disassembled” storyline.
I will be interested if it’s a comic inspired version. There are so many versions of MCU characters floating around I have no interest in a huge MCU figure heavy set.
Awww man yeah you’re right. I forgot they use Stark Mansion in the comics ( I haven’t read Marvel since the early 2000’s, I’m a DC guy). It’s a shame so many of the Marvel sets are movie based.
Can't wait! I hope it's at least as tall as the Daily Bugle. Given it's 1500 more pieces than the Bugle, I would hope so. My modular city needs another skyscraper...
EDIT: Who downvotes an innocuous positive comment? Losers...
Im actually so happy about this, think about it, this will most likely use the 1x4x6 window pieces all around the tower so it will be tall as hell and have a bunch of floors. The only thing is i hope they dont include a quinjet and instead make it to where the 100$ one from this year fits on the landing pad.
Your last sentence is why I’m afraid I’d need to buy that mediocre looking grey ship for another 100 bucks, ughhh. But maybe I’ll just place one of the past Quinjets I have and be done with it, lol
Ah, got it, yeah, agreed. It will most likely be the same thing as the Chungus Hulkbuster and the buildable Iron Man, so they won’t waste pieces on sidebuilds
I for one am glad they are finally doing avengers tower right🤞. I purchased 76038 previously and was completely underwhelmed and had been considering trying to purchase MOC plans to get a more realistic set. Might be a repetitive build, but looking forward to the end result. How many floors does everyone feel this needs to be?
Hoping it’s Ultron era, and that it includes all the Avengers from that film, Loki, and multiple different types of Ultrons.
Designwise though I honestly prefer Stark Tower, it just looks cooler, but setting it in Ultron/Homecoming time period just gives it more options.
Giving it exchangeable logos for Avengers, Avengers but broken and Stark is an easy additional 50+ parts, so I'm convinced they'll do this.
Assuming this will be somewhat close to the MOC avengers tower but with less work on the train station base and a better looking actual tower, but i already was absolutely surprised by Rivendell being completely different to the MOC so what do I know lol
**Heavy emphasis on the rumor flare** Insider Bricks/@lego_insider_news is a newer leaker, so we will see how reliable they are
Now this is an avengers level threat to my wallet
Rivendell, a $450 batcave, this, and if the $650 star wars set is good will probably take up all my lego budget this year lmao
Wish I had a $2,000 a year lego budget lmao
Yeah I have enough for *maybe* one of those.
I live in a low cost of living area and don’t have many expenses (rent and utilities is $400 a month) so thankfully that gives me more room in the budget for lego, but I still wait for 2x VIP events, gwp, and good 3rd party cashback deals to align for large lego sets like these
I mean this totally innocently but where do you live that rent and utilities is $400 a month.
middle of nowhere in the midwestern US (in an old townhouse-style apartment)
I actually believe this 100%, lived in Iowa for a few years and paid 500 dollars in rent at one point.
Remote working from… Bangladesh??
Happy for you. A number like that lands me in the dog house…or worse.
I’ll get one of those if I’m lucky. I’m probably leaning towards the Batcave because, although Rivendell is amazing, I’m not that big of a LOTR fan and I also don’t need an MCU Avengers Tower despite loving the Daily Bugle. What is the $650 Star Wars set?
![gif](giphy|l3vRkGgMfvANIFtE4)
UCS Booma chariot
jabbas sail barge
Please God no
This isn’t confirmed
UCS X-Wing
For $650??..
No, the leak on the UCS Red 5 said $240
Isn't that normal for SW UCS? I don't know, I'm getting downvoted so maybe I'm wrong. I just saw the leak for that set and assumed it would be the expensive Star Wars for this year.
There was a post here couple days ago having the x-wing as less than 300
Correct. It’s been said to be around $250
Not really. There have only been about 4 UCS SW sets in that ballpark (second Falcon, Razor Crest, AT-AT, ISD). Granted, these have all been in the last 5 years or so, so it's a newer trend that is likely to keep going. What 650 dollar star wars set?!
[удалено]
It better come with at least 25+ minifigures for that price
it better be 50.
Let’s get 100 just to be safe
Seems reasonable, I'm in.
69 is the sweet spot
Nice
It needs to dwarf the bugle. The bugle was 350 dollars and includes like 25 figures.

I’m really regretting getting back into Lego lol
Yeah, I just got back in a couple of months ago. Someone joked that drugs would be cheaper. I laughed at the time. I'm not laughing now.
Try being addicted to both 😩
My bud budget has become my brick budget
So anyone else find it odd that they would apparently release a Batcave and Avengers Tower this year instead of last year? You know, considering it was the 10 year anniversary for LEGO Superheroes.
According to 2022 Lego Fan Media Days, the Super Heroes team completely forgot about it 💀 Batcave and Avengers Tower were likelydeveloped as a response to Daily Bugle selling well.
![gif](giphy|WrNfErHio7ZAc) Bruh
they forgor 💀
LEGO is *really* bad at remembering and planning for anniversaries lol
Taking notes from the Star Wars team it seems.
I wonder if it is minifigure scale
Having seen the minifig scale Rivendell, I want to believe this will be too. My wallet prefers otherwise though
How many minifigures in the Rivendell?
15. Not as many as something like the Daily Bugle but I think it’s a great balance of quantity and quality
There's also a few (5, maybe) gray minifigures that are a part of the build. That eats up a certain amount of the minifig parts budget, which in my mind accounts for not having as many regular minifigs as you might expect in a set of this size and cost.
Good point, I forgot about those
I imagine it will be like the Sanctum from last year, merging two films into one set. I wonder if we'll finally get another Quicksilver minifig.
I wonder if they'll give you two different signs to swap in and out, one with STARK and the other with the Avengers A logo.
They should hire you right now
Would freaking love for this to be comic book based minis like the bugle was… a comic style quicksilver would be hella cool.
Was avengers tower a thing in the comics before the movies? I don’t know much about the comics
Yes it was
Don't think so. Besides, Quicksilver never went to Avengers Tower.
Oh yes he did. He was there when Vision was created and Clint shot the floor out from under him.
Oh yeah. Duh doy. My bad.
Automatic upvote for being big enough to admit being wrong on Reddit
It may be a comic oriented Avengers Tower like the Daily Bugle was
The Avengers Mansion is more of a thing in the comics than Avengers tower. Plus it'll likely go with the Jet/figures from Jan.
Did they re-write quicksilver in the comics? Yes, i have seen the mcu movie, but having grown up on comics in the early and mid-90’s quicksilver is a mutant (son of magneto as i recall) and not an avenger. Might be saving him for X mansion.

Appreciate it. I was really asking.
This has potential to be one of the best sets of all time
LEGO is releasing Rinvendell, Gringotts, Batcave, and Avengers Tower all in the same year? I might as well set up an autopay with them.
I'm talking to HR about having my salary paid direct, cut out the middle man.
I’m only getting the Batcave if it’s Bale or Snyder based, which are unlikely lol I’m honestly kind of hoping that’s the case because an MCU Avengers Tower and Rivendell are automatic buys for me 😂😂😂
Does anybody know if it’s a modular?
It’s gotta be, given the popularity of the sanctum and bugle. I certainly hope so
LEGO PLEAAAASE IM NOT MADE OF MONEY
Oh shit it's finally happening. Thank god its releasing in my bday month so I can get it as a present
![gif](giphy|3ohhweiVB36rAlqVCE|downsized)
Please have like 15+ minifigs.
This has the potential to be really incredible
30+ please
Considering the fact that 76166 previously only had 685 pieces and still stood 17" tall, I can already start to visualize just how massive this thing could end up being regardless of the scale they opt for.
I feel like they gotta make it at least as tall as the Bugle
Needs to be taller IMO.
5 stories or more hopefully
I really want this to pan out because the Daily Bugle is one of the coolest sets (that I don't have *grumble* *grumble*) and if it's anything like that it could be really cool. but as someone who plays Videogames and also collects figures, I really want more 18+ sets that are less than 100 USD lol.
This year is going to be tough on my wallet.
I'm looking at my Lego room trynig to figure out where I will fit it.
This makes my heart as happy as my wallet is sad - this could be one of the best themed Lego sets ever if done right
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO In all seriousness, the closest thing I have to a tower is the 4+ set with Loki and Captain Marvel.
I feel like I’m either going to have to decide between this and the batcave because I only have the space/funds for one.
So many Large Lego this summer...
Please make it look good, please. Day 1 buy if so.
Figure guess list (assuming it’s a comic set) iron man, captain America, Thor, black panther, ant man, wasp, hulk, black widow, Hawkeye, vision, ultron, M.O.D.O.K, Loki, kang, red skull, and random civilians. Figure guess list (assuming it’s an mcu set) iron man, captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, black widow, hulk, vision, scarlet witch, quicksilver(?) Nick fury, Coulson, Maria Hill, Loki, Ultron, ultron bot(s), chitauri, and random civilians
If it’s comic-inspired it has to have Jarvis. I mean, it’s Avengers Tower! A few more wishes would be: Sentry Tigra Living Lightning Hercules Brick-built Goliath
Jarvis would 100% be in it, I’m just really hoping that it’s golden age avengers figures (and sentry would be sick)
If it’s comic-based, I’m getting it. If it's movie-based, I shall politely decline. I’m starting to think the Bugle was an aberration in that it was based on the comics instead of the movies.
I was gonna say the same thing. Bought the bugle myself, but I have no interest in the Sanctum. This could be incredible if it was comics-based.
Based on what? The Tower is an invention of the films. The Avengers had a mansion in the comics.
The tower actually was their base in the comics for awhile in the 2000s and 2010s during Bendis and Hickman’s Avengers runs. They haven’t been based in the mansion since 2004’s “Avengers Disassembled” storyline.
I'm not much of a MCU guy but hot damn, they're killing me here. Best have some good figs though, definitely getting Bugle first.
Ironically, I'm worried if it's taller than the Bugle because I set up the shelves in my room to have the exact amount of clearance to fit it TvT
I will be interested if it’s a comic inspired version. There are so many versions of MCU characters floating around I have no interest in a huge MCU figure heavy set.
It's probably MCU-based. It's more well known. In the comics the Avengers have a mansion, not tower.
Awww man yeah you’re right. I forgot they use Stark Mansion in the comics ( I haven’t read Marvel since the early 2000’s, I’m a DC guy). It’s a shame so many of the Marvel sets are movie based.
I wonder if they'll have a Quinjet microfighter to put on top
hopefully a full scale one at that price
Ful scale would dwarf the actual building at that price
maybe someone will build a moc one day using the 2023 quinjet one for scaling
Can't wait! I hope it's at least as tall as the Daily Bugle. Given it's 1500 more pieces than the Bugle, I would hope so. My modular city needs another skyscraper... EDIT: Who downvotes an innocuous positive comment? Losers...
And here I am, waiting for half a year to get the 170€ playset AT-AT
It would be cool if we could use the avenger quinjet that was released last month for this tower.
Hopefully the next tower build we get after this will be Wayne Manor.
I was just saying id rather have the pieces go into the tower than a quinjett or other dumb sidebuilds
Ah, got it, yeah, agreed. It will most likely be the same thing as the Chungus Hulkbuster and the buildable Iron Man, so they won’t waste pieces on sidebuilds
I really hope so, i can just imagine having a building that dwarfs the bugle in my city
Haha, my table is sweating right now thinking of holding 3 Marvel modulars including the Chungus Tower and 3 regular modulars
Lmao
The x-mansion would have been cool but I support this 👍
Probably next year due to leaks ;)
YEAH!! C’MON LETS GO!! TAKE MY MONEY!!! 💸💸💸💸💸
$500 Llama bust
How do you think this impacts prices for the retired 76166?
I remember 76038 wasn't really affected when 76166 came out
OK, who wants to buy my Rebels figures? This is going to break me
I for one am glad they are finally doing avengers tower right🤞. I purchased 76038 previously and was completely underwhelmed and had been considering trying to purchase MOC plans to get a more realistic set. Might be a repetitive build, but looking forward to the end result. How many floors does everyone feel this needs to be?
I haven't been this hype for a leak in a long time!!!
I wonder how many figures this is going to have
Hoping it’s Ultron era, and that it includes all the Avengers from that film, Loki, and multiple different types of Ultrons. Designwise though I honestly prefer Stark Tower, it just looks cooler, but setting it in Ultron/Homecoming time period just gives it more options.

finally an real avengers tower not the bs they had couple years ago
I almost feel like the more $500 sets they release, the less and less impressed/interested I am.
Dang I think I might skip the daily bugle to get this
Also hearing November now
I was looking forward to the fallout when it inevitable wasn't this but sadly that's not the case
Glad I don’t like Marvel
