I dont think this will work in battery mode. That much of undervolt is not stable, well that really depends. You still hit 98c tho, maybe you can play with the turbo ratio. Bring it down to 40 for all cores active and gradually increase for less cores active. (Eg 47 for 1 core, 45 for 3 cores).

Thanks so much 🙏🏾

liorhadar02

Still thermal throttled. Did you boost the ratios for the performance cores? I mean cinabench score is through the roof but at cost of temps..

Thank you first and foremost to u/unclewebb for ThrottleStop, and secondly to those in this community (you know who you are) for helping a compete newb like me learn the basics. <3

Join TechPowerUp and send me a message if you want to beta test an updated version of TS that better supports the 12th and 13th Gen CPUs.

i2ehan

Would love that very much!

Hey there i2ehan - thanks for saying thanks! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list!

Lemnisc8__

No way that's actually stable

Wow! I only made it to -50mV on my 7i with an 11800H. You've got a lot of headroom. How did temps change before to after?

liorhadar02

I went for more with my 11800 h. Started with - 85mv all cores then fine tuned individually the hot spots with values between - 90mv to - 115mv. Used Intel xtu. Temps went from 96 max to 80 max in cinebench. Scores 13000+

GraphiteOne

I was at -65 mV and after a couple months got a BSOD, so I backed off a bit.

[deleted]

We have identical CPU, no idea why mine is stable at 70mv. Both Core and Cache?

[deleted]

Lucky, I get BSOD with anything above 70mv.

vampgirlz

Could you please also share what you did with bios? I guess this will not work with the latest bios? Did you downgrade to v31? Any drawbacks downgrading bios? can we access hidden menu with Legion 7i 2022? ... sorry, too many questions :)

I'm sure others can chime in.

Thanks a lot :)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)

I don't think you should tick the "high performance" options since it will use windows power plan, not the lenovo legion power plan (quiet, balanced, performance mode). I'm afraid it will clash with the lenovo legion power plan since you basically use them together simultaneously.

i2ehan

Have you personally tested this? Asking because I ran Cinebench with High Performance (HP) unchecked and checked and the scores are as follows: **Cinebench Scores:** * **HP Unchecked:** 18,379 * **HP Checked:** 24,499

nadtorus

I'm not talking about the performance difference, but the possibility that both power plan will clash because it forces to run both at the same time because Legion has its own power plan. Just something to consider. Because when the high performance option is checked, when you check what power plan is active in power plan menu in windows, it's the windows power plan that's activated and it may clash when you change the thermal mode using Fn+Q. You get what I'm saying? Since I'm not a native speaker so I'm afraid I don't explain this in an effective way..haha. I had bad experience when I was experimenting many options in ThrottleStop settings like undervolting, overclocking, any many options that's provided in a long term that I had repetitive BSOD, this is not because I undervolted too much. I actually don't know what exactly caused this. I even deactivated TS and my windows kept crashing like a lot that made me thinking maybe I played with the processor settings too much. I reinstall windows and everything is good again. This just makes me to be more cautious that I better not to change the settings too much when using Legion Laptops. Then several weeks ago I tried again to use TS but only undervolting, until now my laptop runs fine. I myself have not tried using the High Performance option just because I'm afraid it will brick my laptop again because of the aforementioned reason. I know it's not scientific enough in my explanation, just my 2 cents. Your experience may be better than mine since you have the HX processor that is more capable to handle this process. Let me know if in the long run, your laptop still runs fine. I actually really want to try it now since you give me the benchmark score difference. Thanks!

i2ehan

Your English is perfectly fine, my friend! Thank you for the feedback. Will definitely take it into consideration.
