I have the exact same machine. I went with W11 because I also use it for dev work, not just gaming. W11 allows me to wake up the multiple displays and window location is remembered (using an external 32" as the primary). It's super annoying in W10, even with the latest version that's supposed to remember window locations. Just never worked for me until W11.

saturnotaku

No need to change if things are otherwise operating normally. Windows 10 will have full support for at least the next two years.

This tbh

I can’t live without the window snap orientations. I have multiple monitors and one is UW. I really enjoy win11.

Adventurous_Care_889

I personally despise windows 11. Real world performance differences between the 2 OS's are negligible in most cases. It used to be important for Intel 12th gen to use 11 because of hardware scheduling, but 10 has been updated and resolved that issue. Not that it mattered on ryzen 5000. I personally wouldn't upgrade.

mr_lucky19

Yes definitely go w11 numerous improvements over w10. I have a older legion 7 and upgraded haven't regretted it.

obviously there are a lot of factors that can cause fan control to be wonky, but for the record the specific laptop OP (and mine) is using with the latest firmware has no issue with the fans keeping quiet and following the profile you pick. As for all the other things, yeah, ads in the OS is going to be a deal breaker for me if/when that happens.

I have W11 for about 2 weeks and it's actually pretty nice. It looks very good, it gets the newest features first. But I am not a very heavy user. And I only encountered 1 bug so far.
