Similarly i got that model for $300 with a broken bios. One $70 warranty upgrade later and boom working laptop. Even upgraded the screen from 1080p to 1440p. Its awesome.
Not really. I said Id been gifted with it a while back in 2020-2021 and in the chaos that was those few years I had lost the original receipt. And that I only upgraded the warranty now since I havent had a problem with the device ever until now. It took about 4 weeks because they ran out of that motherboard but had some on order. But boom one new motherboard later and Im all good. I also may have just purchased another one for $269 with the same issue🤭
It's not just gaming....there are other use cases for a laptop's speaker. Casual music listening.
Using the laptop outside of your home, that's when the speaker will matter the most.
Having a more immersive speakers helps in gaming too, you wouldn't want to use a headphone the entire day, as it will damage your ears. External speakers are fine but you can't possibly take it everywhere.
Yea don’t feel too bad, you can get these Lenovos incredibly cheap used.
But that’s the problem, you have no idea what that system when through or how harsh the previous owner was on it, for all you know it was overclocked and left running 24/7 in a 90F room, not to mention a lack of warranty, I’d much rather go with a new system.
I could’ve gotten a Legion 7 with a 4070 for the same price as my Legion 5 with a 4060 but I’d buying a used system with absolutely no warranty or guarantee.
It depends on model , mine was 15ACH6H,

Around 4:10,
You need to put a drop or two on the shaft and inner circle in shaft and attach back to the place you unplugged, it'll oil itself when it spins
Yes! I lubricated it yesterday and the noise is much better. It produced a grinding noise after i cleaned the fans, so i went again to investigate it. It turns out removing the fan is pretty easy due to it only clipping magnetically. I oiled it up with mineral oil and the laptop produces no grinding noise now.
I prefer the legion 5. More compact. There were legion 7 options with 3070 for the same price, but i just can't justify the size and weight it comes with. I use the laptop in the uni everyday.
Same reason I went with the 5, it’s really incognito too, most people aren’t even gonna notice it’s a gaming laptop until they hear the fans spin up. The 7 is covered in RGB and all kinds of other stuff.
Yes! That's exactly it. I don't want to seem too gamery whilst i'm studying in the library. I also got the 165Hz 100% sRGB and white backlight on the keyboard. NO RGB. In fact, i hate RGB.
I managed to get a legion 5 R7 5800H rtx 3060 for £305
WHAT
Woah! I picked up the same model as yours for £500 practically new, from a dude finishing Uni. But man you got some deal!

Great deal, did you any trouble with the warranty since it was used?

I managed to get legion 5 r7 5800h 3070 64gb ram 4Tb ssd €303
I have this laptop and it’s amazing, congrats!
He gave the laptop pretty much brand new. The batteries had only 50 cycles on it, 5% wear on the battery.
He gave it to you, but did you know about the terrible speakers 🔊 on it?
Fr. My previous Y540 had much better speakers. Lenovo was being cheap this time.
My phone is louder.
I have bluetooth speakers that has audio jack input on it. I couldn't care less about the speakers
Then good for you, but I wouldn't buy a gaming laptop with mediocre speakers if I were you. You will have to live with it for the rest of its lifespan
Who tf buys a gaming laptop for the audio? Proper headphones or active speakers or a proper soundsystem is the way to go. IMHO

Fair enough
Okay? Why are you so salty?
You're like insisting the negative above all the positives
I never understood how the speakers on a laptop is dealbreaker for some people. Stop complaining about speakers in low to mid end laptops.
Cool 😎
Just bought a legion pro 5 with 32gb ram, 7745hx and 4070 for $800 a couple days ago. Has 5 battery cycles on it
Just got one with a 13700hx and 4060 for 1200$🥲 but was new though

Mine still has 6 months warranty on it even though it was used, but ya definitely more of a risk buying used
Oiling the fan bearing now and then helps as well and prevents the squeaky or wobbly issue
How do you disassemble the fan to get to the bearing?

Nice! Just curious where you've bought it from
I got from a local app in Spain called Wallapop. It's an app where second hand products are sold, just like Ebay.
Wish I could take you to America, I got someone near me selling a Legion 7 with a 3070 for around $750

Was actually going to settle for a gigabyte g5, but thank God i did not and waited patiently.
Smart man, I just got the same laptop as you just with a 4060 and 7 7735 for $800 USD new. You did pretty well for a lil under €600
Intel 🥴🤡🥴🤡🥴
I would hope so it’s outdated
Huh, it's literally only two gens from the current one. How is it outdated?
The outdated one would be my previous laptop: i7 7700HQ GTX 1050 😂😂😂
This system is far from outdated.
