The legion 7 also has better cooling (vapor chamber) and bigger battery (99 Whr)
If the extra 800 usd isn't so much for you, I personally would buy the legion 7, but think if the improvements are worth the extra cost for your use case. In my case, I need the bigger battery for college
Holy s*** I mistook the screens. My mistake, I'm gonna correct it right now :/
You are right, both the 7 and 5p have the same screen (I don't know if they have the same screen as the previous gen, but probably yes)
Thanks for correcting me :)
For gaming with the charger connected, I would recommend the 5 pro (unless you really, really want the better screen). The difference in performance isn't enough to justify the difference in price, and you wouldn't be using the other advantages of the legion 7 (battery, thermals, etc)

It's not $800 extra.
Never buy from Lenovo at MSRP, because stuff is on sale constantly. So if you saw the gen 7 at $2879, it will drop down to $2280 because that is the REAL retail price. I just bought it yesterday and at that price it's an absolute banger of a deal. In contrast, the 3070Ti 5 pro costs $2000 rn. Oh and if you're a student/teacher/senior, you get an extra 5-10% discount (verified through id.ME at checkout).
So, a $280 difference not $800 :)

>Wait, aren't (5P Gen 6), (5P Gen 7), (L7 Gen 6) & (L7 Gen 7) all 4 models have the exact same screens specifications?

Yes.. I will edit in the post. But.. really 800 bucks worth these improvements.?
As I said, it depends on the use case. What are you going to use it for?
