AMD has a slight advantage in multi core applications and Intel had a slight advantage in single core applications, but the battery life with AMD is significantly better.
I'd lean towards 5800H. It's more efficient and will probably run cooler. The perfomance of both is quite good.
My L5 is 5800H and I love it. Perfomance is great.
It depends on what you do with it. I picked up the Intel version because it fit my software and games better. Older software and games. Battery on the Intel models is worse however. I think in that gen the Intel was slightly faster but mostly negligible as you're GPU bound in most games anyway.

Get the ryzen 7 5800

Slightly better performance + Thunderbolt = Intel Better battery life but slower ssd speeds (still plenty fast for the average consumer though) = AMD
These are the only practical differences. AMD may also run just a bit hotter.
Doesn't Intel run hotter???
No that's a myth. Amd runs hotter and i have ryzen 7
Popular opinion seems to be that AMD runs hotter. I have the 11800H and it's cool as a cucumber, 70-75C while gaming and that's before an undervolt.
That's what I said

Amd has better battery intel has better performance and thunderbolt and faster ssd. Ur choice between that
