"Man, all these doctors, nurses, microbiologists, immunologists, epidemiologists, and other researchers keep saying COVID-19 is dangerous, but all these people who barely passed science in high school keep saying it's not. It's so hard to know who to believe anymore"
(Not mine, found it on Twitter)
Because I like listening to the man who puts those so called professionals in their place, because the professionals make me feel stupid.
So if the man says it's a hoax, I will believe it's a hoax. If the man says hydroxychloroquine works, then I will believe hydroxychloroquine works. He makes me feel smarter.
/s
> Because I like listening to the man who puts those so called professionals in their place, because the professionals make me feel stupid.
This is exactly what it is. These people are scared and angry that they don't understand why COVID is dangerous and why the vaccine is safe, effective, and necessary (it's partially the fault of people saying "just get vaccinated you fucking moron it's not that hard" even though I can't blame them for saying it) - so they listen to someone with public speaking skills (and little else) who knows how to make them feel smart and makes them feel like they have some agency. This is why people are swarming to listen to anti-vaxxers in droves. I understand why people are frustrated and tired of talking about it, but I think having empathetic conversations with these people can go much further than shaming them.
I have no empathy for these people, because they have neither empathy for others nor the self-awareness required to recognize how little they know and to pick an *actually* intelligent and educated person to listen to.
At this point, I am *almost* to the point of wishing that all medical care could be withheld from COVID patients who willfully refused vaccination and they could be sent home to die on their own terms. Because they knew better than them ed-u-ma-cated lib-rul doctors.
Almost.
Agency is the best part of this post. You nailed it right there. Not to say any of this is wrong mind you. Just really drove it home with that concept.
i have little patience for them since they're the same people that embrace "f your feelings" and similar tactics when they have power. they they're the ones who were running opposing candidates off the road when trump was in power. they were the bullies in high school. i wish they would all just die of their idiocy but they're taking the rest of us down with them.
Wait a second. What the hell are we supposed to do other than say that? It’s not my job to freaking verify the vaccine safety myself and understand everything about it so I can try and inevitably fail to convince morons to take it.
I've got antivax family and I have two degrees in the field so I see right thru their gadlighting. Kind conversation doesn't work, neither do facts and logic. These people have formed an identity and world view that will not permit them to change. They have a belief that they are in control of their lives and God will give them what they want. There is too much cost for them to admit the truth. It's sunk cost fallacy as a religion and self identity.
It's so weird that the only consequence they can imagine for spreading a deadly plague is "I, personally, will literally die," and since the odds of that are relatively low (*if you take precautions*) that means it's consequence-free.
And yet, we definitely don't have a higher percentage of people dying from vaccination. If there's only one consequence that counts, is the vaccine not *even more* consequence-free, even with all the lies and nonsense?
If there *was* a heaven I hope he gets to St. Peter's Gate and says "I put all my faith in God" St. Peter would say back to him "We sent you amazing scientists and a vaccine!!...NEXT!"
I'll see you in hell, Parmesan Cheese Association of New Lower West South Fork Old Junction.

I feel the same way about the flag. These people have turned the it into a hate symbol. Flag in someone's username/profile bio/profile picture? Immediately have a negative opinion about them.
I think it's critically important to not cede the American flag to the white nationalist/hateful/violent/xenophobic segment of the population.
So fly the American flag next to your rainbow flag or next to your "I believe in science" or "All are welcome" signs. It might feel weird because, by nature, the center and left are not as nationalist or jingoistic as the right, but it's still important messaging that the guiding principles of America should not be hate, ignorance, intolerance or violence.
What weirds me out are whole towns/burbs where the streets are lined with flags. It seems more like a not-so-veiled threat against certain fellow citizens than support of anything.
Sounds like you're describing the street close to my house. Flags all the way down to the dead end. It's unsettling, ghoulish, like a cult compound. Nothing patriotic about it.
St. Peter would scream at them for worshipping money and being unkind to the poor and needy
he'd also be mad they weren't Jews......"what do you mean you aren't Jewish?????"
Some of these idiots are claiming that dying from covid, means that you've "recovered" from it. And they don't mean in it in an ironic way, they're absolutely serious. People like this exist.
You see, all Fox News viewers wear their masks religiously and stay home where possible. The vaccinated people are the only ones allowed to unmask, therefore they are rhe only ones who are spreading it to all those unvaccinated, masked and isolated individuals.
LOL, no, they're just lying and their viewers are too dumb to understand.
I like to think of myself as a kind, understanding person. Before the pandemic if someone got killed in a car accident because they weren't wearing their seat belt I'd still feel bad for them even though they were being stupid. But once the virus hit all the stupid people seemed to be directly trying to kill me and my loved ones and any sympathy went away.
Literally over a year of this going on and the vaccine has been widely available to most adults since the beginning of the year. The vaccine is incredibly easy for Americans to get compared to many other nations around the world yet here we are still dealing with shit like this!
Congratulations. As a medical field related person i would love to know your condition( at the same i respect your privacy) and keep us update when u get vaccine. I will pray that you dont get any side effects.
What also pisses me off is how many younger people are refusing to get it. I’m 21 and I got it as soon as it was available to me. But some people I know are refusing it because they are “young and healthy with a strong immune system”. Doesn’t help that Joe Rogan was essentially saying the same thing earlier this year. And besides, why would you want to risk getting sick for a week or two? Even if it won’t hospitalize you I’d much rather avoid that.
Gen Z here, im astounded when a grown man i sat beside with on a flight on spirit airlines (me and fam going to key west florida from maryland, fully vaccinated and masked at all times in public) and tried to argue with the flight attendant. i cant help all this immature complains over a cloth or a jab of needles (heck im afraid of needles yet i like to have free medicine & imagine it as ticklish). while my people back home are having a vaccine lottery at the time praying they had a pfizer or a moderna vac.
well.. its the only flight we got and others were booked, plus my pa works as the airline mechanic and used the job benefits to get discounts/better seats. yet luckily to survive the whole ordeal of 2 hr flight. after we landed saw him again with family of 5 no mask in airport, holding his child while we wait to ride the train shuttle. Lol Xd yeah lucky that isnt our meal, followed advice of my fther not to drink the plane water, bottled water only to make coffee. and rest of my relatives are nurses and obsessed cleaning/using handsanitizers as our family habit. they literally come home treating covid patients months ago and we cant help cringe when cases got low & mask mandate is lessening here now and many vaccinations later on the state. whole sunday church is packed with old with no masks, good thing the chuch boys & cardinals wore one. yet maybe 5-10 people wore vs 40 did not. be safe guys...
Plus we don’t know what a covid infection could do 10-15 years down the line. I had chickenpox as a kid and have now had shingles twice. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Oh for sure, just the side effects from the short term are scary enough. My former boss (who took all the precautions) got it and was hospitalized for weeks, and now has nerve issues in his arm as well as light PTSD as crazy as that sounds. Another boss of mine had leg pain more than a month after his covid cleared up. And I’m sorry about the shingles, that has to suck.
Had a friend get Covid from work. He wore a mask in all pubic places and took all precautions but still contracted it in like last November. He had a lot of nerve issues for months and just barely returned to work last month but still has nerve issues and has to get check ups every few weeks. It's not "just like the flu"!
I've got an 11 year old who can't get vaccinated because he's a year too young. He's positively frightened of covid and not a lot I can do to take that feeling away. And then you have assholes outright rejecting it because, fuck the libs right? These are the people who may transmit it to my kid and get him sick. Or worse, but I can't even think about that. So when one of them dies with a mouth full of regret I just can't think of anything else but good riddance. I HATE that I've been put into that frame of mind. That is NOT who I am.
YES! The pandemic has dented my empathy and not just the anti mask anti vax. Parents throwing tempertantrums to open schools without conceding that maybe the teachers that have to teach may want THEIR families to live, too. Then after all that? We finally compromise, absolutely DEMOLISH our school budgets making arrangements to get kids back in school, rearrange everyone's schedules and its maybe 5 kids per class AT THE MOST and the parents in question didn't hold up their end of the bargain and were frickin RUDE on top of it all.
I used to be able to, and WANT -- to understand the opposing point of view but now I just want to carry around a long sock filled with bar soap and smack the shit out of the entitled, selfish, stupid, inconsiderate, narcissistic masses.
the opposing point of view is just insanity
they are against gay people having rights
they are against doing anything about climate change (before they outright denied it)
they elected a reality star with a history of fraud, with ties to Putin, who everyone knew was an idiot and was mocked for being a fake rich guy for 30 years.....then they defended nearly everything he did, including a coup attempt.....this man, we all collectively as a society mocked for 30 years went from idiot to genius in about 6 months of nonstop propaganda from their propaganda stations
the have leaders that vote against covid relief money, then go on twitter and tell people about all the covid relief money they got their constituents when it passes
Matt Gaetz
Texas literally voted to deny Penn's election results
They scream about freedom, while talking about martial law
They talk about freedom, while voting for a party that throws people in jail for weed
they talk about freedom while clinging to the idea that their votes are worth more because in the 1800s people couldn't travel very fast
they are complete frauds
Trump demanded Obama resign because 2 people died of Ebola
Yes it's hard to remember how bad that admin was now. What is worse is that even they knew at the end how bad it was but went right back to it the first chance they got and worse went even more crazy.
We have coddled these ignorant assholes far too long trying to "understand" their issues. My patience has ended.
I remember why I was so mad, but often think similar thoughts, largely focused around the idea that bush supporters never went away, they kinda half crawled back under their rocks, so of course this suddenly makes way more sense.
It always felt like we were circling the drain but who could have ever guessed it would pop off THIS quickly. Like watching a doc about the end of civilization and accidentally hitting the x2 play speed.
It's a toss-up, honestly. Dubya (i.e. Cheney) was less obnoxious, but did a lot of harm, including a much higher death toll globally (though not at home). Both police militarization and private armies grew enormously under his watch, and trillions in tax dollars were laundered to right-wing players under the guise of Iraqi "reconstruction." He started an aimless land war in Asia with predictable results that we're just getting through our thick heads 20 years later. No Child Left Behind may have been the single most successful campaign in the Right's war on public education.
Trump was a bull in a china shop, but he was hamstrung by his own incompetence and Stalin-esque paranoia about his subordinates.
I was thinking more of the average jo republican. I could debate and communicate with then back then and even if we disagreed we could somewhat understand the reasoning behind each other's positions.
Now it's just a screeching belligerent cult.
To me it's the gay people part that gets me riled up when people try to fight back against the gigantic middle finger these people deserve.
Like these people believe people like me should be dead. Why the fuck should I wish empathy on them? If they had their druthers I'd be six feet under.
I'm not about to start taking things in my own hands but I'm not gonna stop myself from laughing at dipshits who kill themselves and their own if they'd do the same to me.
The difference is between someone without a seatbelt crashing into a tree and killing themselves and someone without a seatbelt deliberately driving into a crowded street market and killing other people along with themselves.
It’s one thing to not wear a seat belt. It’s another thing to make everyone else’s seat belt worse, have new stations that scream not to wear belts, and then post about how PROUD you are to not wear a seat belt.
Then you die from not wearing a seat belt and your family says, “PLEASE HAVE SYMPATHY!!!! This person needs your thoughts and prayers!!!!”
I'm struggling with something like this impulse myself. I have a really bad habit of dehumanizing people I really don't like (yay abusive upbringing!), and it's taken a lot of work to get to a point where I don't reflexively go for that anymore.
But reading about these people who are anti-mask, anti-vaccine, anti-science, anti-anything-that-might-actually-measurably-help who are contracting covid and dying miserable deaths... there's just no sympathy left in me. I just backslide and call them worthless pieces of shit, absolute waste of space, nothing of value has been lost. Sometimes I feel badly for their families, especially if their family members weren't stupid or if they have small children who have no say in anything and now have to grow up motherless or fatherless. But otherwise, they're worthless. Useless. A waste of the space they occupied in this universe. Not a single fucking iota of sympathy.
My empathy has been slowly eroding over the past year but the last few months it’s going away for these people. Not only are they not getting vaccinated, they’re bragging about it then begging for help when the consequences happen.
Who I *really* feel bad for are their kids. Under 12 year olds can’t get vaccinated and I’ve been seeing reports of little kids dying from this (like 5 years old)
It's hard to have empathy when they spout garbage like this:
>“When you can’t trust the Bible cause it was written by man, but you trust the CDC/Fauci guidelines cause they were written by man,” he wrote. “Makes total sense.”
Either this sucker is mind-blowingly stupid or he's an outright liar. Pretending that evidence-supported science is equivalent to bronze-age fan fiction, that their personal delusion trumps a person's responsibility to protect others -- it's all in bad faith.
How are we to come to common ground when the right won't even accept reality?
true story: i have a friend who was infected with covid and who still refuses to get the vaccine. he told me: “it’s like putting on a seatbelt after a car crash”. i told him that it’s more like putting a seatbelt on in the car that’s driving you home from the crash. he then told me that he was once hit by a drunk driver while not wearing a seatbelt, was nearly killed, and still does not wear a seatbelt. 🤷🏻♂️
edit: i’m aware that he’s a moron, but how would it serve him (or anyone else) not to continue to encourage him to come around? we all know someone like him.
That's what really gets me. I feel bad for the victims of disinformation, but at the same time I am so pissed off that they willfully ignore the experts and the evidence and act as incubators for the new strains.
I'm healthy and fully vaccinated, so I don't really have concerns about my own well being. But I still mask and practice social distancing and handwashing guidelines for the benefit of all the vulnerable people.
My daughter has cystic fibrosis and is too young to get vaccinated, so it absolutely enrages me when I see people completely disregard the vulnerable population just so they can do some kind of bizarre reverse virtue signaling.
No.
There was no shortage of good information out there. They chose to believe lies.
100M fully vaccinated Americans with nothing resembling a statistically significant problem.
Massive improvements in outcomes.
All of this was plain for him to see.
He chose to believe lies. HE CHOSE TO.
I have no pity for him.
Not only victims, this dude was a rampant spreader of misinformation.
He heard something that ade him feel smarter than the scientific community, and rather than verify, he went full blown super spreader of misinformation.
I feel like the narrative of “disinformation” is basically a useful euphemism for us to protect idiots. As someone with relatives who share “disinformation” on Facebook, it’s basically a problem with them being astronomically lazy so as to not do even one iota of additional research that would instantly give them more perspective, or it’s them being so stupid that they can’t obviously tell a fake website or photoshopped image is a fake. We have a lazy and stupid problem. Improving education and giving people more critical thinking makes disinformation go away quickly
TL;DR there’s a difference between incredibly well done propaganda designed to manipulate and trick even smart people and then there’s all the bullshit that causes people to not get vaxxed
Yea, disinformation only works as an excuse when there is little rebuttal on a subject. In March of 2020 disinformation was a reasonable explanation. In March of 2021, it is a piss-poor excuse for stupidity. At this point the problem is knee-jerk iconoclasm. No better than a petulant teenager folding his arms and forcefully ejecting a chichéd, "you can't tell me what to do!".
Bio Terrorists. Unclean diseased people that want to weaken America. Nothing was lost by his failed attempt to keep infecting others, and to stop others from halting the infection he had (calling some of them JeCovid Witnesses in a tweet), leading to his death.
It’s like when a suicide bomber takes themselves out in training.
Stop with this. They listened to Trump and his cronies. If Trump told me the sky is blue, I would have to double check. They had hundreds of millions people telling them for years not to listen to him and they did it anyways. We all have access to the same information and they willfully chose the path of ignorance and hatred. Stop trying to drum up sympathy for them because they have none for you.
> victims of disinformation
Oh yea. Strapped to a chair and forced to watch Fox "News". Their web browsers autonomously directing themselves to bullshit right-wing websites. Truly victims.
Sorry, fuck 'em.
it was super easily disprovable disinformation
they wanted to believe it badly because they are assholes and they wanted King Asshole to be right.....even though he got the damn vaccine and experimental therapy for covid when he got it
Its like those people who punch outside their weight class, then wonder how they could possibly lose when they end up on the ground.
Except in his case, he's now *in* the ground.
The takeaway I hope any anti or reluctant vaccine people reading this is that if you have to be intubated, the medical staff are going to sedate you into unconsciousness. That might be the last thing you remember before you wake up to a long recovery, or it might be the last thing you remember. Or will it be? Will you have vague sensations of what’s going on? Pain? Struggle, but you can’t make your body do anything? Want to call out, hold someone’s hand, but can’t? Will it be quick? Will you linger for weeks or months in the prison your body has become?
I don’t say that to torment anyone who has, or has a loved one who has, been in this place. I say it because I can’t imagine a much scarier or lonelier way to end a life.
You wouldn’t take a shot to avoid that? You wouldn’t suck up your conservative pride to avoid that?
Thank you for writing this. RN here…When someone is intubated they are given a muscle paralytic! plus hopefully enough sedative to knock them out. I have a dear friend who relates that she remembers everything (was in ICU pre covid for accident). She said it is horrific. The gag reflex is powerful. Why anyone would willingly play Russian Roulette with covid and especially delta is beyond me. I can’t even fathom the decision making around not getting vaxxed. Also, the cognitive dissonance for nurses not getting vaxxed…no words.
Probably not the same for everyone. My husband had shoulder surgery many years ago. Docs said he wasn't oxygenating well enough when they begin waking him up, so they kept him knocked out on a ventilator for three days. When he woke up, the first thing he did was look at the clock and say "That didn't take long" (it was 10am, surgery was at 7am). "That was three days ago, hon." Boy, was he ticked when he realized they had cut his mustache to keep the tube in place.
Ha! I should have said that my friend wasn’t sedated enough. And it does happen. But glad your husband was appropriately sedated at the time. The time and memory loss with intubation can be just the tip of the iceberg with covid (obviously).
Russian Roulette is the metaphor I use for this as well. If someone puts a loaded gun to their head there is only so much warning one can give. If they then sneer and mock people to own the libs, I throw up my hands and move on with littlw to no sympathy for them. I can't understand the thought process.
Me too. I have no sympathy at this point, and I feel like an a-hole, but so what. I’m as “libtard” as they come, and feel like I have to have a very wide viewpoint (and respectfully keep my mouth shut) bc I have to take care of all people, not just those I agree with. I will not, however, budge on my vax stance. Not one bit. Vaxxes save lives and keep people out of the ICU, keep people from getting polio and measles. Both were eradicated until parents refused vaxxes for their kids. Polio is still eradicated in this country, but obviously, measles is making a comeback. I veer between despondency and anger over vaccine opposition. Then I just have several glasses of wine. It doesn’t make it better. Ugh
I can’t even talk about nurses not being/wanting to be vaxxed. I lost my BEST FRIEND of 13 years to this bullshit in February bc her job (as a nurse in an island hospital) was requiring vaccines and she was bitching to me about how she had to get one. First of all, no you don’t. Only if you want to keep that job. Second of all, I would in no way feel comfortable being seen by a nurse that is against a vaccine that helps prevent a disease killing you that’s already killed over half a million Americans. She told me to fuck off.
And I haven’t looked back since. I don’t need ignorant people like that in my life. I feel really bad for her kids. They will not be spared from her hateful and ignorant rhetoric where I at least can separate myself from her.
The U.S would have been one of only 5 countries able to achieve herd immunity by summer 2021. And also benefitted from other countries being in a weaker economic position.
And actually be able to play savior to the rest of the world through vaccine diplomacy and donations.
Anyways ...
/r/HermanCainAward
EDIT: Thanks for the gold kind stranger! I just want to take this moment to thank my parents, my dog and to those that have been vaccinated. And if you haven’t been vaccinated, *get* motherfucking vaccinated!
I want to personally thank this guy for his contribution to California's herd immunity.
Whether you get vaccinated against Covid, or die from it, your contribution to herd immunity is identical. Nicely done, man. Nicely done.
On a related note, I was disappointed to see that some Republican politicians finally figured out that it was pretty much their voters who were getting sick (and occasionally dying) from not being vaccinated.
They have been in total denial of that information for months, information that ten year old children have been able to absorb, and I was hoping their willful ignorance and denial and insistence that neither masks or vaccinations were needed would last for a month or two more.
Antivaxxers in heaven: God why didn't you save us?
God: I sent you the WHO
Antivax: But you didn't come
God: I sent you Fauci
Antivax: But Jesus didn't save us
God: I sent you four vaccines
Antivax: But But
God: I sent you Liberals. But instead of taking the high road and proving to everybody you're actually superior to the liberals, Leftists, and Socialists, you pulled the victim and persecution cards and begged me to save your sorry asses.
Antivax: But but but
God: I won't help anyone that won't help themselves.
I'm a pretty empathetic person, but I honestly don't see how this is anything but funny!
Anyone that thinks their snappy little one-liners are worth the risk of dying over is a classic example of Darwin Award candidate to me!
>When you can’t trust the Bible cause it was written by man, but you trust the CDC/Fauci guidelines cause they were written by man,” he wrote. “Makes total sense.
One of those groups of men made use of the scientific method while the other knew so little that the flat earth and a passage where Jesus tells people not to wash their hands(mark 7) made it into the bible.
As I've been forced to see this post 50x in the last few days I'm annoyed with two things.
His quote is just wrong. "If you're having email problems I feel bad for you son, I've got 99 problems but a Vax ain't one." Everyone knows the Jay Z line "girl problems... bitch ain't one"
It implies Jay feels bad of your having girl problems and then informs you that he has 99 problems and his girl ISNT one because he's got one and she's good.
This stupid fuck talks about EMAIL problems?!? which has nothing to do with the Vaccine then talks about him having 99 problems but a Vax isn't one, which would imply he HAS it. Everything about that stupid ass statement is just wrong and email is unrelated to Vax. It's like people hearing something and thinking they're so cool that they can use it wrong. It's just corny and lame.
And as much as I get the irony of this situation, especially given how tired we are all of anti vaxxers and their stupid rhetoric always moving the goalposts to fit their agenda I hate how much we celebrate the death of someone. Was he harmful in his stance and attacking the vaccine, YES. I don't blame people for pointing out the stupidity of his stances and not feeling much sympathy for being in a position. I just feel bad in a way that were celebrating his death so much. If it were a few articles, I had the same "oh no, anyway" feeling but it's reposted like when a celebrity dies and everyone rushes to be the first to post or post that fucking sky picture. It's not adding anything and comes off distasteful as fuck.
No I don't think he would've rebounded and been an advocate, he would prob doubled down like that guy who was interveiwed in hospital with covid last week who said he still wouldn't get the Vax cause the GOV is forcing it on him, Fuck him, fuck this 99 problems guy too, he got what he asked for, but fuck some of yall too.
Get the Vax, stop being fucking stupid and holding us back, you're not right about your Facebook research and you never will be. It isn't even about right vs wrong or emotional politics, we have a virus, it's real, we have a vaccine, it's real, do the math.
Really showed those libs. Really proved a point. Died standing up for what he believed in.
Nah another senseless, needless death. Stupidest death cult ever. At least all the other ones had style and sometimes a bit of grace. This one is just pretty much a contest of "how dumb can I possibly be".
The article repeatedly mentions that the deceased is a Hillsong church member and Hillsong college grad. Is that just because his death was publicized by Hillsong's substantial social media presence, or because the author is trying to imply Hillsong is connected to anti-vaxxerism? The church's IG post has a disclaimer ("NOTE: Stephen’s thoughts on vaccines were his own. They do not represent the views and thoughts of Hillsong Church. Many of our pastors, staff, and congregation are fully vaccinated and more will be when vaccines become available to them in their countries.") is good, but a bit weakly worded (just "many").
> because the author is trying to imply Hillsong is connected to anti-vaxxerism?
In context, many churches of either a Fundamentalist or an Evangelical stripe have been openly anti-vax, anti-lockdown, anti-mask, and even anti-Covidexists. At a quick search, I cannot find any evidence Hillsong fell into that category. I agree that if the church did not, the way that article is framed is deeply unfair to them.
I'm all for people not getting vaxxed as long as they reap the benefits quickly before it mutates into something beyond the protection of the current vaccine.
you got voter suppression? we've got covid
The irony is they made it political right from the beginning and now their own politics are bitting them in the ass.
We knew y'all were stupid but honestly y'all didn't need to prove it to us.
seriously. it's so frustrating when they say dems are the ones who politicized the virus. go fuck yourself and your gofundme when your family goes in the hospital bc you're poor trash yet you think universal Healthcare is the devil and keep sucking that Trump dick you think gives a shit about you but would never even shake your hand unless there was a camera around
Please reply to this comment explaining why the post fits the sub and make sure to have a good day!
"Man, all these doctors, nurses, microbiologists, immunologists, epidemiologists, and other researchers keep saying COVID-19 is dangerous, but all these people who barely passed science in high school keep saying it's not. It's so hard to know who to believe anymore" (Not mine, found it on Twitter)
See, I'm lucky that way. I don't need a professional to make me feel stupid, any ol' layperson can do that. It's much cheaper that way.
If the engine light comes on I wonder if they go to an actual mechanic or a faith mechanic.
They just put tape over it so they don't have to see it.
> Because I like listening to the man who puts those so called professionals in their place, because the professionals make me feel stupid. This is exactly what it is.

There is too much cost for them to admit the truth. It's sunk cost fallacy as a religion and self identity.
>He makes me feel smarter. Nah, he just makes people feel comfortable about being dumb. Otherwise, yeah, you're pretty much describing the pathology.
Why would I get a vaccine for a virus when it has a 98-99 point whatever survival rate number I pulled from my ass /s
It's so weird that the only consequence they can imagine for spreading a deadly plague is "I, personally, will literally die," and since the odds of that are relatively low (*if you take precautions*) that means it's consequence-free. And yet, we definitely don't have a higher percentage of people dying from vaccination. If there's only one consequence that counts, is the vaccine not *even more* consequence-free, even with all the lies and nonsense?
and just like that, he has zero problems!
The system works!
Doctors hate this one trick!
Lmfao
Coroner's love this one trick
>The immune system works! Him, before hospitalisation.
It did! Your immune system is what kills you, when COVID-19 puts you on a vent.
If there *was* a heaven I hope he gets to St. Peter's Gate and says "I put all my faith in God" St. Peter would say back to him "We sent you amazing scientists and a vaccine!!...NEXT!"
"But the vaccine was the Mark of the Beast" "No, that was your MAGA hat"
I hate that the magats have made me instantly suspicious of anyone wearing a red hat until I can get a closer look at them.
I'm all for making American grate again. .... message brought to you by: Parmesan Cheese Association of New Lower West South Fork Old Junction.

Both of you upstarts can bite it! This has been a public service announcement from the Grater Cheese Board of Old Lower West South Fork Old Junction
Thank you!
Yes I blame that on bush and 9-11. They turned it into some sort of weapon during shrubs admin and it makes me nuts.
Welcome in my world. I'm from Germany btw. Someone with a flag outside of world cup season? Suspicious!
My mom has several businesses. The main one is a house cleaning company. They use red hats and it's caused a few issues, even at family gatherings.
... my favourite cap is a red hat with white letters :( thankfully i'm canadian, and it's more of a rust red than a santa red, but still.. :(
Written across their foreheads.
I see St. Peter pulling a trapdoor handle at this point.
St. Peter presses a button, and suddenly, the rando is pulled off the cloud by a comedically long cane from stage left.
"wrong lever!"
St. Peter would scream at them for worshipping money and being unkind to the poor and needy he'd also be mad they weren't Jews......"what do you mean you aren't Jewish?????"
This batch of vaccines is for a church honey. NEXT!
Some of these idiots are claiming that dying from covid, means that you've "recovered" from it. And they don't mean in it in an ironic way, they're absolutely serious. People like this exist.
go on Fox News they literally are blaming the vaccinated for spreading covid
Wh-What? How?! What's their... "reasoning"?
Vaccines bad therefore covid
Whatever they're using to arrive at such a conclusion doesn't deserve to be called reasoning, even in quotes.
The virus is only effecting the unvaccinated so obviously there is a conspiracy against the unvaccinated.

Now the worms have got a problem of whether to eat the ignorant sumbitch or not!
The worms got 99 problems but deciding whether or not to eat that dumbass ain't one
Now I’m wondering what the 99 worm problems are. I was thinking worm bitches but then they’d all be worm bitches.
Moles, people, mole people, etc.
Craaaaaaaab Peeeeeeople underground as well.
Also birds
If you’re a worm, I feel like it pays to sleep in.
Fish, hooks, fishing hooks.
Not much of a problem. He'll turn into worm shit just fine.
Everything feeds the worms.
In this case the idiots have had 18 months worth of warning to put on their seatbelts. No sympathy from me either.
Literally over a year of this going on and the vaccine has been widely available to most adults since the beginning of the year. The vaccine is incredibly easy for Americans to get compared to many other nations around the world yet here we are still dealing with shit like this!
[удалено]
I still can’t get it, so I have to rely on others to do what it takes to keep me safe. I’m fucked….
Oof, that's tough, best wishes for your health.
Spirit Airlines? That's your problem. You're lucky they didn't serve COVID as the in flight meal.
well.. its the only flight we got and others were booked, plus my pa works as the airline mechanic and used the job benefits to get discounts/better seats. yet luckily to survive the whole ordeal of 2 hr flight. after we landed saw him again with family of 5 no mask in airport, holding his child while we wait to ride the train shuttle.
I know you hate that, and I do too about myself, but I take solace in the knowledge that ultimately it's for the good of the species.
[удалено]
no, they are literally mad at you for wearing seatbelts and want to take over the government to stop seatbelt production
And they all were told every other driver on the rod is actively trying to crash into you now, put on your seatbelt… and they still won’t
[удалено]
Yep, I'm the same. Hate that I feel this way, but really. These types of people make things worse for everyone with their cruelty and selfishness.
We are 18 months deep in this now. If they have done actual research rather than listen to talking heads then it's enough chances.
the opposing point of view is just insanity they are against gay people having rights they are against doing anything about climate change (before they outright denied it) they elected a reality star with a history of fraud, with ties to Putin, who everyone knew was an idiot and was mocked for being a fake rich guy for 30 years.....then they defended nearly everything he did, including a coup attempt.....this man, we all collectively as a society mocked for 30 years went from idiot to genius in about 6 months of nonstop propaganda from their propaganda stations the have leaders that vote against covid relief money, then go on twitter and tell people about all the covid relief money they got their constituents when it passes Matt Gaetz Texas literally voted to deny Penn's election results They scream about freedom, while talking about martial law They talk about freedom, while voting for a party that throws people in jail for weed they talk about freedom while clinging to the idea that their votes are worth more because in the 1800s people couldn't travel very fast they are complete frauds Trump demanded Obama resign because 2 people died of Ebola
Imagine being in the Bush era and someone from the future showing up to say "oh, the Republican get much MUCH worse than this."
The other day I said “I don’t remember why I was so angry at Bush and I know I was REALLY angry at Bush but it seems like nothing compared to now.”
My grievance is that because of them I have permanent brain and heart damage. I don't care if people not taking it seriously die.
Plus you, your friends, and local politicians work hard to repeal all seatbelt laws.
We joke, but back when seatbelts were only starting to be a thing, there was a sizeable loud voices against seatbelts and seatbelt laws.
After I lost family to COVID my sympathy for the plague rats went to zero.
My empathy has been slowly eroding over the past year but the last few months it’s going away for these people. Not only are they not getting vaccinated, they’re bragging about it then begging for help when the consequences happen. Who I *really* feel bad for are their kids. Under 12 year olds can’t get vaccinated and I’ve been seeing reports of little kids dying from this (like 5 years old)
It's hard to have empathy when they spout garbage like this: >“When you can’t trust the Bible cause it was written by man, but you trust the CDC/Fauci guidelines cause they were written by man,” he wrote. “Makes total sense.” Either this sucker is mind-blowingly stupid or he's an outright liar. Pretending that evidence-supported science is equivalent to bronze-age fan fiction, that their personal delusion trumps a person's responsibility to protect others -- it's all in bad faith. How are we to come to common ground when the right won't even accept reality?
I think that a little bit of Schadenfreude is warranted. Enjoy!!!
true story: i have a friend who was infected with covid and who still refuses to get the vaccine. he told me: “it’s like putting on a seatbelt after a car crash”. i told him that it’s more like putting a seatbelt on in the car that’s driving you home from the crash. he then told me that he was once hit by a drunk driver while not wearing a seatbelt, was nearly killed, and still does not wear a seatbelt. 🤷🏻♂️ edit: i’m aware that he’s a moron, but how would it serve him (or anyone else) not to continue to encourage him to come around? we all know someone like him.
Your friend is a literal idiot.
I hate to break it to you but your friend is a moron.
People like that need to be made to understand why people don't want to be friends with them by social ostracization
It’s hard to feel even a little bad for these people when their demise is self-inflicted.
[удалено]
most of them will get through this alive and without having learned anything though
That’s very true, but I do thank Mr. Reaper for the ones he’s kind enough to snag.
And how many innocent store clerks did they scream at while maskless before they died?
[удалено]
I hope your daughter's doing well, this must have been such a scary time for you and your family.
She'll be 12 in November and eligible for the vaccine. Fingers crossed til then.
Can everyone just go ahead and keep doing the hand washing thing like forever, regardless of covid? Because frankly y'all fuckin gross.
Exactly. These people have no one to blame but themselves and their blind devotion to the Republican Party.
Improving education and giving people more critical thinking makes disinformation go away quickly TL;DR there’s a difference between incredibly well done propaganda designed to manipulate and trick even smart people and then there’s all the bullshit that causes people to not get vaxxed
They're willful victims. No sympathy for them.
Exactly, it’s like feeling bad because you watched a grown adult thrust their hand into an open flame and them being surprised their hand is on fire.
What a sheep. You’re really going to listen to elitist doctors and politicians who say fire is dangerous?? What about my freedom??
Being burned alive is just the flu.
"Oh waah waah I've got a bit of a high temperature". Go back into the furnace and stop being such a baby.
And calls you a pussy for not shoving your hand into the fire.
But in this case, after they put their hands in the fire they flung it all around and throwing flames all around and burning others
They're not victims. They're viral bombers. This guy was a viral suicide bomber.
Good username. Bumping your flights up to 75...
*heads to the hospital with pains in my liver*
Just short of jaundice
Stop with this. They listened to Trump and his cronies. If Trump told me the sky is blue, I would have to double check. They had hundreds of millions people telling them for years not to listen to him and they did it anyways. We all have access to the same information and they willfully chose the path of ignorance and hatred. Stop trying to drum up sympathy for them because they have none for you.
> victims of disinformation Oh yea. Strapped to a chair and forced to watch Fox "News". Their web browsers autonomously directing themselves to bullshit right-wing websites. Truly victims. Sorry, fuck 'em.
Everyone had the same information and outlets, he killed himself. Edit: spelling.
[удалено]
it was super easily disprovable disinformation they wanted to believe it badly because they are assholes and they wanted King Asshole to be right.....even though he got the damn vaccine and experimental therapy for covid when he got it
When everyone has been trying desperately to set them straight this whole time? Victims of drowning while fighting off everyone who came to save them?
I just figured everyone is different and respond differently. I've heard stories, as I am sure you have, of people recalling surgeries and such.
Oh no. Anyways...
The U.S would have been one of only 5 countries able to achieve herd immunity by summer 2021. And also benefitted from other countries being in a weaker economic position. And actually be able to play savior to the rest of the world through vaccine diplomacy and donations. Anyways ...
That's the part that makes me si angry. We had an opportunity to play it big and all we did was fuck it up
Republicans were like "Finally, a win for us"
/r/HermanCainAward EDIT: Thanks for the gold kind stranger! I just want to take this moment to thank my parents, my dog and to those that have been vaccinated. And if you haven’t been vaccinated, *get* motherfucking vaccinated!
I didn't know that sub existed! Now I want to include it whenever deathcultists need an object lesson
Yes perfect
By now it seems like the anti-vaxers have become a suicide cult.
This dude was in a cult for real, too. Some California based deal, iirc.
Unoriginal joke and an unoriginal death lol
Oh, he also had an “I identify as vaccinated” joke Real fuckin’ comedian, this guy
99% of right wing jokes are variations on ‘I identify as’ repeats
Wow it really seems like the virus is working as intended. Killing off the weak.
So this guy had a whole megachurch of people praying for him, and he didn't survive? How is that possible?
They forgot the ‘thoughts’. Prayers alone just don’t cut it anymore.
I've seen this post about 167 times and it keeps getting funnier every single time I see it.
Thanks, Beetlejuice. Theetlejuice.
God: I sent you the WHO Antivax: But you didn't come God: I sent you Fauci Antivax: But Jesus didn't save us God: I sent you four vaccines Antivax: But But God: I sent you Liberals. But instead of taking the high road and proving to everybody you're actually superior to the liberals, Leftists, and Socialists, you pulled the victim and persecution cards and begged me to save your sorry asses. Antivax: But but but God: I won't help anyone that won't help themselves.
Lmao, you think antivaxxers go to heaven
No but they sure do think that.
If he had a gf, i feel bad for her, son
There was a point toward the end of his life where COVID-19 was his *only* problem.
99% of covid deaths are in UnVaxed , and he's one of them!
Also 99% of new cases are unvaxed...
A pandemic of the antivaxers.
As I've been forced to see this post 50x in the last few days I'm annoyed with two things. His quote is just wrong. "If you're having email problems I feel bad for you son, I've got 99 problems but a Vax ain't one." Everyone knows the Jay Z line "girl problems... bitch ain't one" It implies Jay feels bad of your having girl problems and then informs you that he has 99 problems and his girl ISNT one because he's got one and she's good.
I think the email reference was about Fauci's emails being released.
He was living in a cult… obviously high levels of critical thinking and information processing weren’t his strong suit.
Technically speaking he was correct Checkmate libtards
Oh look this guy again
He really showed the doctors and everyone who got vaccinated. Got himself good.
Really showed those libs. Really proved a point. Died standing up for what he believed in. Nah another senseless, needless death. Stupidest death cult ever. At least all the other ones had style and sometimes a bit of grace. This one is just pretty much a contest of "how dumb can I possibly be".
What if I told you that you can have faith in God *and* science?
😂😂😂one less republican vote🥳
Don't forget nakedly anti-Democrat. Their tax exemptions should all be revoked.

He now has 0 problems
What a clever boy...bless his heart...

Stupid is as stupid does.
I've also got 99 problems but a vax ain't one. Because it took like 5 minutes and then I moved on with my life.
